Default Good Morning

What a crazy day I had yesterday! It was busy at work from the minute the doors opened until they closed. It sure made the day go by fast. After work I met DH and DS at our church where we had our pictoral directory pictures taken. I went home after that and laid on the couch all evening. I thought I should probably get out and walk but I couldn't get up the energy to do it. Today is a new day and hopefully it won't be as crazy.

Michele: We just got rid of our snow here and hopefully it won't come back. It's so cold here right now just around freezing. I am so ready for warm weather. How did you grand opening go? It would have been fun to be there.

mkay: Thanks for asking about my job. In spite of the day I had yesterday I am feeling more comfortable in my role there and think I'm gaining the respect of coworkers. My manager told me last week that I'm doing well at it. I do enjoy the work even though the responsibility can be daunting. I trust God each day to help me make the right decisions.

Gary: The breakup DS is coping pretty well. He is still getting together with his ex because he's determined they're going to remain friends. Right now his work schedule doesn't allow him much of a social life. His birthday is next weekend and he wants to have some friends over and I think it's a great idea. The other DS is doing well with wedding plans even though I have to keep reminding him of things that need to be done. Invitations should be ready to get mailed out soon and then it's minor details like ceremony, etc. to be planned. It's been fun!

mkay: My neighbourhood is actually very safe but I don't like to go out in the evenings by meyself just in case.

gheller: WTG on the 4 lbs. lost. That's quite an accomplishment.

It seems I've run out of time again. Have a wonderful day!

Wink Just checking in

Hey everyone
I'm so sorry most of you have experienced inclement weather! Here it's been sunny, but cold!!! In Cheyenne, Wyoming, my aunt just reported to us that she got a couple inches of snow. I'm just thankful it hasn't happened here!

Wilma -- you must be so excited about your DS wedding! I know I would be. I hope your other DS continues to cope well. It's hard after a break up to remain friends with that person. I know it was difficult for me, anyways.

Gary -- What a crazy story! That's like something that happens in a movie! Your daughter must be so happy with him.

gheller -- Woo hoo! congratulations on your 4 pound loss! That's AMAZING! Keep up the good work.

Michele -- How did the grand opening go? I wish I could have been there. Sounded like fun!

Well, I'm off! Talk to you all later.

Rachel

HI LOOOOOOOOOOOSERS

Staying close to home today. The guys pretty much finished the sprinkler system in the front on Saturday and are here to do the back....which means somebody needs to take the dogs out to potty...the guys are in and out through 2 gates with materials and I really don't need Reba and Rylee taking a "day trip" through the neighborhood.

Having an awning put in also, we removed our patio (termites/age) awhile back...rather than build another one we decided to check out retractable awnings...a little pricy (WHAT ISN'T!!)...but Angie and I decided to do it after the estimates from the guy yesterday...besides..it needs to be up for the big GRADUATION party on the 29th of May right?

Angie and I took the dogs on a 2.5 mile walk last night...Reba pulled me all the way! I don't get it...sometimes she is fine (well almost) and other times she just freaks out. Angie went on her morning 3 miler with our neighbor and didn't take the dogs...she just wasn't up to it if Reba wasn't behaving.

RACHEL The weather here (NOT COMPLAINING!) has been iffy too...yesterday and the week-end just gorgeous, today warm but cloudy...calling for rain later this week again...which we don't need...the week-end looks good. Have fun in class and curves.

MARGIEB Have you checked in your area for "walking/running" training groups? Always better to partner up with people..one pushing the other...Angie is always pushing me...in more ways than one When I was a teen-ager a guy from our neighborhood...drunk of course...came screeming down our street in the middle of the night...hit every car we owned that were paeked on the street...my truck and Mustang, one brother's van and another brother's truck! plus a neighbor's car! He was OK..but he was sitting in the car in the middle of the street...it had stalled...trying to get away..My dad's asking him...Hey, Pal...where do you think you are going?...he just kept saying to 7-11 for smokes. Hope cold is better.

AZULFIRE My ex-wife will be in Vancouver by Wednesday night...she flies out tomorrow...wave to her when you see her Oh, and about those blackberries...send me some back with her

MARYK Love the story! How's the "heeling" going

WILMA Sounds like your son has the right idea on friendship...but for me, well when I was the "dumper" I wasn't too concerned on being friends and if I was the "dumpee"....MY USUAL ...well, I couldn't be JUST FRIENDS. My step-daughter was just dumped by her boyfriend...we don't feel too sad about it around here because she dumped another guy at Thanksgiving to be with him... a little two-timing going on I think too...anyway with this guy, all along she says to us "he is not my boyfriend, he isn't too smart, etc." and was aways "looking"...at the same time leading this boy on...well, guess he figured it out because he dumped her and is dating a good friend of hers...the tables were turned...so what does she do?...after bad mouthing him and strutting her stuff when she had him...she goes to his house and "begs" for him to take her back...which he didn't. The typical feeling good about yourself and bragging when you got someone...then total opposite when "they get smart"! A work in progress...but I have faith in her!! Good luck with the wedding plans...just keep kickin' the boy

Guys outside need something.........

Hi, the Grand Opening is tonight, i can't wait. I weighed in yesterday and was pleasantly surprised, i was down 2.6 lbs. I don't deserve it, but even though i'm not POP (perfectly on program) i must be still making changes. So this week is an opportunity to do better. My only goal is to journal my food and to drink my water, that's all i can handle for now.

Check out my cool graphic from a very special someone.... Isn't it cool!!!!!

I'm sorry I've been slack. My son turned two on April 29th and he sprained his knee on his birthday. Plus the day before I brought my 5 yr old into work with me. Then yesterday I was out because I had to run my Dad to John Hopkins for a consultation appt (which didn't pan out to be good news). So I've been on a roller coaster of highs and lows lately. My weight shows it, nothing's moved. It's good to see familiar faces here! Hope all is well with everyone's weightloss journey!

Here is an animation quickie of Benjamin's birthday:

And a picture from last Thursday when Andrew was with me at work:

*hugsss* and God's blessings to all!

Jackay, i'm glad you came back but wow, you've had some stuff going on. Sorry to hear about dad, hope it'll improve and i'll pray for healing. The pics are great, thanks for sharing.

I'm off to home for lunch and to pick up my spinning wheel and fiber for tonight!

Thank you for the prayers. He has liver disease and Hopkins can't help him--no hope of qualifying for a transplant because of several factors. I lost my mother a year ago at the end of July. I know I'm 36 and not some child, but still..it sure is scary to think of losing both parents this close together.

Just checking in again.

Michele...I LOVE that signature. Queen Bee! Gee, could that nice lady/friend be a "sunny" person?

Jackay...so sorry about your mom and your dad being sick. You are a busy lady. I guess I won't complain tonight that I'm overwhelmed with anything. Why is there a Mickey Mouse at work?

EZ...DH is walking lightly on his foot now. Size 13 shoe on one foot and his normal 11 on the other (and of course they're two different shoes). Not to sound mocking or anything, but when he's trying without crutches, he walks like the grandpa from The Real Mcoy's.

Well, things to type just appeared on my desk so it's off to the real world.

Bye All

hehehe I know that looked strange mkay. There are these Mickey Mouse statues that are on tour and DC was a stop until the end of April. There were dozens of them there.

This gives you an idea:

This was very neat as the family and I are finally taking our first real vacation in 4 years and going to Disney World all next week. I need to behave now on my diet so I can enjoy while I'm there.

Jackay -- that's so cool that you're going to Disney World! I went when I was 10 and I had a blast there! I'm sorry to hear about your mom and your father's liver. Know that you and him will both be in my prayers. Sounds like you've really been busy! When you get a chance, take some time to chill

mkay -- Glad to hear that Dh can walk on his bad foot now. I hope he feels better.

I'm tired. I don't know why I'm so tired all the darn time!! I took a nap this afternoon that lasted 3 hours this happens every day! I might need to go to the doc and get it checked out.

Lateralus~have you had your thyroid levels checked lately? May want to, that's a major symptom. I've had hypothyroidism since i was 25, it's not a big deal to take a daily pill, but boy it can reek havoc on your body until you find out.

Well I had an exam done and supposedly they checked for that. So I guess I'm in the clear. But it stinks because I'll just be working or on the computer, and suddenly, I just get so tired and feel like I have to lie down. And then BOOM! I sleep for 3 - 4 hours at a shot.

HI GALS

Waiting for Angie to get home...Angie and a bunch of teachers from the school districts around here are going to the freeway overpasses and protesting what our "GOVERNATOR" wants to do with the school budget $$$. Angie and I always disagree on these issues..me being Republican, she being "for the best person" and the teacher's union being Democrat...should be fun

We are picking up my ex wife from her work and all of us are going down to our daughter's tennis banquet tonight...should be fun...actually, it always was dinner before, this year just a desert...I think lack of funds...I think contributions are down as there are "issues" against our coach that have been raised for a number of years and not addressed...I think people are tired of it...too complicated to express here...plus boring for you gals!!

Talked to my builder today...said fence would be done today, sod already in, plants tomorrow, wood floor area being finished today and final clean-up on Friday...I told him to make sure Brenda got in to see it...he laughed..."are you kidding me?" he said.."your ex wife will see it BEFORE you and Angie?"...yea, weired huh!

MICHELE Have a good time tonight...is Eric coming for the Grandopening?

MKAY THE REAL MCOYS??? You gotta be old to KNOW that show...I loved it!!

JACKAY Prayers for your dad. Cute kids and pictures!! Have fun at Disneyworld. Disneyland is only an hour from me...but it has been about 15 years since I went...my sister went ALL the time and always took my kids...so they kinda got tired of it.

Well the guys did a lot on the yard..should finish by Saturday..

Outta here....Gary

Red face Question ? ? ?

A guy, last night, asked me to dinner. This is a friend of mine I have known for 10+ years and also go to church with. I told him dinner would be nice, now when should I give him a time? I don't want to set anything too fast but yet I don't want to wait unreasonably long but I, like all the rest of us, have so many 'irons in the fire' that I'm not sure when I can actually set a date with him. . . let me know what you think. Thanks so much - Margie
