Default Good Morning!

It's finally sunny here but still really cold. It's supposed to gradually warm up over the week so I'm looking forward to that.

Had a pretty good weekend. I got a few things done but never as much as I would like. Yesterday was pretty relaxing but I needed that after a busy week at work.

Gary: Congrats to your daughter. Not only is she smart she's beautiful too. What a combination. I sure don't blame you for being proud.

doitforme: Have fun tonight. It sounds like a lot of work but the benefits are great.

APHatGordita: Sounds like your retreat was fun. We all need to get away for refreshing once in a while.

Karla: I'm so glad your baby is okay. That's a lot of moves in a short time. Hope you get settled quickly.

Sunny: It sounds like you made your walking goal. I plan on starting today. I'm having a hard time getting going these days because I'm bored with my walking tapes and it's still so cold out. I think I'll try to get out for 30 minutes this evening. Thanks to you and Margie for being so inspiring.

The camera is full and I have to go get it developed and then you will all see my kitchen pics. I so want a digital camera.

Another day of work is about to begin so I better get going and get ready to get there.

Have a wonderful day

Wilma - I can't wait to see all the work you've done on your kitchen! I'm really excited.

Sue - What a shift! Well at least you'll be off for a while. I always hated long work days!

I'm off to Curves then taking anap because I'm not used to being up this early!! I'll weigh-in and see the damage I did this weekend!!

Sunny! Woohoo and Kudos to you for your walking. Did you get anymore snow too?

Hi to all, i'll try to post more later.

Well, they've been open since March 5, but we're having a Grand Opening celebration anyway. It's suppose to be bad luck they said, but i am excited. I can't wait to see the live alpacas and to demonstrate spinning.

Wow...I see I'll have to visit you guys on the weekends now. So many new posts AND...I love your signature Michele AND Sunny's new font!

Hello all...EZ...I'm sorry that things aren't going to hot with Ron. How old is he again? I guess we'll have to pray really hard. Glad the Honor's Banquet went great. Do you like the boyfriend or just protective?

Sunny...love the font my dear. You are doing wonderful walking. Do you feel more energetic? I've been such a funk, I can barely think today. I will walk tonight.

lateralus98...great score on the test. WOW...I'd have to celebrate too. Hope you didn't celebrate tooooooo much. I'm glad you are enjoying curves.

Wilma...how's the job?

doitforme... The overnighter sounds rewarding. I don't know how well I'd do with a bunch of kids with energy.

APhatGorditaInWPB...I'm certainly ready to head back that way with all our cold air. I do love FL and the ocean. How was NY? and where is Wales, FL?

Karla...looking forward to you getting back on the computer. Where are you moving too. If you already posted where, I have a poor memory...so bear with me. I'm thankful baby is good too.

Azulfire..I absoutely love your signature with the flames.

Back later...

Good Morning CER's
And what a COLD morning it was here! Only 36*... way too chilly to walk outdoors at 5am, so on the T-Mill I went I got in 3.5 miles this morning and about 20 min of stretching time... I have not taken enough time to stretch and I am feeling it! SoooTight! So I made sure to do it this morning!

I have set a MAY walking goal for 50 miles... You see, I have this theory... if I set my goal for 25 miles last month and did 52 --- maybe if I set my goal for 50 I can make 60 w/o a problem I know... strange, but it works for me Now... ... ... I will NOT double the 50... but setting the goal lower just makes it easier to focus w/o the anxiety I have enough of that in my life

*~*~*

Hi Gary... it's me *Graphic Queen* I think it's wonderful the way you boast about your children!! Keep on boasting... I am sure they just take it all in too! You know me and pictures... love them!! Your DD is really a beautiful young lady!! Zac is a lucky guy

How did things go the other day with your sprinkler system... all done?

How great to hear about your vicar... and to know he is going to be so close --- that is just too cool! And that banquet dinner... oh my goodness, you made it sound so delish my mouth was watering while I read it

Oh... and the reason you didn't quite catch *when* we were going to the funeral was NOT your fault (this time ) We were originally planning to go on Friday evening, but Joe got a call from his sister that evening telling him that they were all going on Sat... so there ya have it I will keep Ryan & Ron (& Amanda) in my daily prayers for their futures and their health and I always do for you *all*

Oh my... I hear some thunder! Sounds like a storm a brewin' I had better hurry up and get this post finished!

Thank-you so much Rachel! Love your new avatar picture Cute!! My goals for May... listed above on that test!!! I hope you have a good WI at Curves this morning!

Hi Michele! Snow is a bad word here now... Sorry that you got a bout of it again!! I agree! It just doesn't feel right!!! 29* burr! I thought we were cold this morning! I have another surprise for you Look out for a PM from me soon

Hi Azulfire, LOVE your siggy!! It is so cool! Don'tcha just love graphics!! Michelle... do you have a printer??? If so, try Googling in Images to get more graphics - see if that works to print up for your book. Also... use Google for searching out what you want for your book Just keep throwing in different searches and see what you get from them. There are so many places to search... Also... *JoAnn Fab.* has allot of things now for scrapbooking, maybe you can finds some things there too or *Holcombs* another good place to check out. *Luck!*

Hi Karla! Good to see you I hope that the muscles feel better today! I know what you mean... believe me I am so happy to hear that your Dear Son is feeling so much better!! I am sending my prayers your way that all goes well with your moving!!

Hi Zoegirl, Good to see you pop in! I am thrilled to hear that you had such a wonderful time on your retreat! Hope you are getting some much needed rest today! Did you see my post on how to add images??? We would love to see some pics

Thank you so much Sue! I was so very tired doing it though... 4 miles a day is just too much right now for me... so I am doing the 3.5 and it feels better LONNNNNNNNG DAY today girl You will surely need those two days of rest!!! Wishing all the best for your nieces benefit tomorrow night

Hey there Wilma Looking forward to seeing those pictures of your new kitchen!!!!! Glad to hear that you finally got some sunshine... here is some more for you a bonus

Hi MKay, Thanks! I saw it on another thread and liked it and thought I'd use it here I am not ususally here much on the weekends, but I was home all day Saturday Joe had to be places that I didn't, so I got to play

*~*~*

Well gang... it's getting a bit loud here...
I really think I just might have to shut
down the computer I'll wait it out for a bit
and see, but I don't want anything to happen
to my favorite play toy

Later...
*Smiles*

HI LADIES

Have an easy day today ..don't tell Angie...like I can really get away with it In the process of making a shepherd pie for dinner, just waiting for the potatoes to finish. Cleaned up a little...waiting to go look at a job to figure a little later. Finished in Hollywood for a little while...waiting for other trades to get finished before we can proceed.

Angie, Ron and I worked in the yard after church yesterday, Angie and I went and got a new rose to replace one that didn't take in the transplanting she did awile back. It is a honey-dijon...pretty and classy looking...AWW, Reba and Rylee will look so dignified munching on it

The ex came over yesterday afternoon and we got her all set up with maps and directions concerning our Washington house, she will head up that way at the end of the week. We worked on "party" announcements for Ryan and Amanda's graduation party.

GRAPHIC GODDESS BUMMER!! with the weather there. I won't brag about the sunny and warm day here That would just be WRONG Super job on the walking! You are ready to start really training for a marathon now! or at least a half-marathon. You are right, Zac is a lucky guy...but then so is my daughter.. Thanks for the prayers.More on Zac in Mary's post, you know the story..I think.

SUE Super for your neice! I will take a large pepperoni and onion How in the world do you put in all those hours at work? AND get the energy for the youth?...OH...you have a higher power huh!!! WAY COOL!!!

MKAY Ron is 14...he is a good boy...never mean! always trying to help me and anyone really, it's just that he can NOT SHUT UP in class...any class...and even at home when he gets excited. NOw he doesn't just get excited for no reason...there is always some trigger...like Amanda coming home from school, or Ryan coming home from work, or his mom coming...just anything he gets happy about. Most of the time he is calm. As far as my daughter's boyfriend goes...you don't know the entire story...so sometimes it gets confusing for people...I never let him have a break...and he knows it! He has known my daughter for about 11 years...he is 2 years older than her...he graduated the same college at the last semester and is walking with her...he took a couple of years at a JC and then 3 at her school...anyway she met him when she was in 6th grade at the tennis courts...he was always up there, being home schooled it was his sports and exercise...he lived close and walked up everyday (in fact that is where he is working now, coaching tennis at those courts)...well, since he was very good at the time my daughter started the coach would let him have a break on his lessons as long as he helped out the younger kids when they were there...does this sound familiar.. ..older boy~younger girl Well, as the years went on, Amanda developed a crush on him...being older, he had no interest...UNTIL! she was almost out of high school...I started seeing him do DRIVE-BYS in front of my house...a well known "boys" thing...I told Amanda that he had a crush on her, I could tell by the drive-bys...well, she (although having gotten SO OVER him years ago) suddenly had to go to the courts a little more often (like that was even possible---I used to send her dinner up there ).
Then he SHOWS UP at her graduation from high school with ROSES!! I'm like WHAT THE HECK! This isn't going to happen ...I explained to her that since she was going away to a college 200 plus miles away and would be meeting many new guys that to get a "summer" boyfriend just wouldn't be a good idea...her answer to me.."What if it's too late?"..aaww MAN!! Without going into all the boring details...she headed off to college after the summer, became un-happy there at the semester(which was a FULL-RIDE schlorship wise for her!)..and although other schools told her she could transfer to their schools with EVERYTHING paid for...well, you guessed it...the "ONLY" school for her just HAPPENED to be the one Zac was at go figure Although they do have their little issues from time to time...usually because one of them is feeling the other isn't paying them enough attention...of course this happens because they both have other friends and interests and neither one needs to be with the other ALL THE TIME, which is good. For 11 years Zac has never once treated my daughter with anything less than ultimate respect...and this goes back to when he was the "macho" teen-ager and she was the little pest with a crush. I will be VERY dissapointed if they ever broke up!! But of course...I WILL NEVER TELL HIM!!

MICHELE Glad things are going well with Eric. Have a great time at the grand opening...I just took all the bad luck off so nothing to worry about

WILMA How are the boys doing with the break-up and the wedding coming? Looking forward to pics, have a great EASY week.

RACHEL Hope curves and the WI go well.

ZOE Sorry you didn't "hook-up" with anyone. I went for 6 years after my divorce before I met my wife. I did the christian singles paper thing...I was just about to give up when I met Angie...never give up hope...God will answer your prayers somehow!

KARLA Great news on your son.

Well...to all the rest HELLO.....off to bid a job...Gary

Wink Manic Monday !

Hello all my friends here at CER's. Somewhat busy day, payroll, scheduling, etc. This thread has been so busy it's hard to keep up and say hello to everyone. Did have to work all day Saturday, really slow except for a drunk driver we had at 10:00 a.m.! A little early for the drink if you ask me. He drove down south 7th and hit about every car he could, kept going and finally split a telephone pole in two. Thankfully no one was hurt but a lot of police reports filed and I'm sure a lot of insurance companies called today too.

Sunday morning went to church, home about 12:30, fixed turkey sandwiches and then out to work on the yard. Moved the last of the firewood where we had a tree taken out, then mowed. I did plant my deck boxes and my hanging baskets with pink petunias. I wanted to do more but was just so tired from working the extra day - not really enough time to catch up on everything. Did fix my roast - which was yummy, some leftovers for tomorrow night, and a load of laundry and then that was all I could manage for the day. Crashed on the couch and fell asleep at 9:40!

Today I'm still not quite up-to-par, have an occasional annoying cough (maybe from the light rain?) but do feel better than yesterday overall. Sorry, feel like I keep running on and on, anyway. . .

doitforme/Sue - loved the pics of your 'kids' at the beach and with the baby horseshoe crabs. I also would like to visit the Cape but that definitely will have to be a summer visit, not something I want to do over spring break. Let us know about your China trip for the adoption so we can keep these matters, (safe trip, passport/adoption papers in order, etc.) in our prayers.

EZ - Loved the banquet pics and you have every right to be such a proud papa! I wish more people would take interest in their children and be so supportive! The dinner sounded delish and something not too far out of line for the diet! Has Ryan heard anything from his interview? We'll keep that in our prayers too.

I think I'll take your advice and look into a 5K or half marathon or something along those lines that I can participate and still walk, not run, in. Seems there's always some fundraiser or awareness something going on at the park that perhaps I could participate in.

wkgirl/Karla - WELCOME!!! How soon will you be moving? Glad to hear your baby boy is okay, - man what a scare, but don't be too hard on yourself, at that age it takes everything you've got to keep up with them!

mkay - Like your idea of walking 3 nights a week, the hardest part just seems to get started (like most things). Pumping the water will help also. Keep us posted on your progress, you can join SunnyD and I walking to see if we meet our goal this month!

lateralus98 - how many days now until China? Are you getting excited? Boy I would be. Hope you're planning on taking (and posting) plenty of pics for us!

momof10/Virginia - Yes I missed you. Wondering where you were and how you've been but then again with all that's on your plate I feel priviledged when you do get a few minutes and you spend them with us! Good going on your walking, keep it up and let us know how it's going. What have you heard on the sale of your house? Anything? Shown it again? Glad to hear you have some 'company' on your dieting path, it helps with others in the house are also 'watching'.

Mitchypoo/Michele - Way to go with Eric! Glad to hear all is well and back on track. Perhaps he wasn't a frog after all?? Spinning sounds relaxing, there's a spinning group here I didn't know about just saw them on the news the other night, - interesting. . .

Wilma12 - More snow? Keep it please, - I like it but it's time for spring! It is cooler here the next couple of days also, suppose to be low 50's when average is about 70, but the sun is out, a little windy and cool. . . oh well. Looking forward to the pics of your new kitchen. Be sure to measure & map you a SAFE walk. Most important that you be safe. The route I take at lunch here in town, believe it or not, doesn't have not 1 dog on it to bark at me. Once I add a few blocks, probably this week, I'll have to check that out to see if there are any loose dogs, don't care about the ones chained or behind a fence.

SunnyD - YAHOO GIRL - 52 miles - that's terrific - you were my inspiration and now I guess I'm just going to have to keep 'following' you this month too. I walked at lunch, cool, (cold breeze) so took the shorter route, 1.3 miles, but I figured this was better than no walk at all. Tomorrow is also suppose to be cloudy and cool so I'll bring a jacket and get back on track! You have had so many 'good' days now, in a row that I don't want to do anything to jeopardize your health. You set the pace and I'll try to keep up. . . maybe MaryKay, Virginia and Wilma will be trying to keep up with us as well. . . what do you think?

Better run for now, been on too long as it is, too much to do. Have a great Monday - Margie

Default G'Mornin

gheller...WOW...congrats on the 4 pounds. I'm not doing as well as last year at this time. I was doing South Beach and lost 20 lbs BUT over the hibernating winter, gained 12 of those 20 back. I walked last night for about a half hour so I do feel somewhat more energetic today...not much tho.

EZ...I will keep Ron in my prayers. I dated a guy before I married Gary and his son Tommy was ADHD. His heart was of gold and I truly put him in a special place in my heart. WAY to funny about the "boyfriend." I wonder if "anyone" ever did drivebys to me. Wait...yes...and it was Gary...only he was 42 at the time. I remember before I even liked him more than a friend, he called one Saturday morning (having caller ID, I usually would let his calls go to the answering machine). Anyway, I told him I had to go out to shovel snow. I went out to shovel in my jammies and makeup smudged, hair in an ugly hat, etc., and guess who ended up on a "drive by?" Actually, I didn't care because I really didn't like him but only as a friend. Aren't you so thankful that he's been such a gentleman (Amanda's boyfriend)?

Sunny...You must be feeling the benefits from all that walking. I know I have to start my water back up again. I still don't understand about the scrapbooking graphics and a book to put images in.

Margie...I'm just NOT good with commitments. I JUST committed that I would walk the 3 days a week...committing to mileage scares me.
BUT...I will give it a try for a week for 6 miles...until my legs get a little tougher.

Michele...Are you all set for the Yarn Cafe? The "idea" of spinning to me is so soothing and almost spiritual yet I wouldn't have the "head" for it.

Well, gotta go get some work done. Ck in later.
