SUNNY Here is one of Angie working on her roses this morning...she usually doesn't go to the tennis matches...but she has...seems like they are always going while she is teaching...they usually start around 2:30 for the home matches~forget the ones out of town!.....she wouldn't be able to get there after work in time...traffic is bad at the hour she gets off, I usually leave for them around 1:00 for the home ones and around noon for the ones in LA area. Angie does get to some on the week-ends, however, usually her daughter has a game somewhere....always sports going on..we just do the best we can supporting each of our own kids first...then the other...the kids do the same...with everyone going in different directions you just can't make everything...but we do pretty good. The kids totally understand....they never feel leftout...did I tell you that RYAN did not walk when he graduated last year...wanted to wait until he had his teaching credential, then walk with his friends...well AMANDA graduates this year and BOTH ceremonies are on the same day~same time!! Talk about splitting up! Draw straws I guess My ex wife has pretty much the same problem getting to matches as Angie too. It is easy for me...I just leave work...no one ever misses me
YOU WILL NEVER GUESS WHO JUST GOT INTO.....HUGE!!!!!!!!....TROUBLE POSTING A PICTURE OF ANGIE WITHOUT MAKE-UP.....aahhh...you guessed....man do I have a '
"honey do" list now!...and a ton of kissin' up....................

Got my bill's paid, checkbook balanced and am heading for the outside
After reading all April Fools that people do I remember the one that we heard last year over our local radio station. We are on our way to visit my parents - about 6 hour drive and it was early in the morning and this is what we were hearing on the radio .
The announcer said that he had just gotten a fax about our highways. They are not government controled anymore but privatized. He said the fax said that they were about to make a new law stating that smoking on public highways was going to be banned - and that should you be caught doing so you would be fined. He said that the member of government that was pushing this through was going to be on the radio at 10 am - so please stay tuned.
This brought us into an interesting conversation while in the car wondering how they could possibly make this a law - but knowing the government anything was possible.
Well every 5 minutes or so the announcer reminded everyone to stay tuned for 10 am when they would have live in the studio the person pushing for this bill.
Well 10 am came - and guess what - the announcer said 'APRIL FOOLS' - he then announced that between 9 and 10 am they had receive well over 500 emails from different people saying that if this was going to be passed that they were really going to do what they could to change the government as they thought it was unfair for them to tell everyone what they could do in their own car.
It was really funny.
Well we get about 1/2 way to see my mother and stop for a short visit to see the people where I get my homeschool supplies - Christian people - and we tell them about this April fools joke. They then tell us this one that is just as funny.
There is a small town in BC called Salmon Arm - it is on Shuswap lake and is just beautiful. Downtown there is this beautiful (small) park with a pond in the middle of it with a beautiful large fountain. Really is pretty. Anyway it was announced over the radio that the fountain had been shut down due to the fact that the fountain had become quite grunchy - and they were asking the citizens of the town to please come out and help clean it up - to please bring their buckets with cleaning supplies at 11 o clock at which time everyone could have a help in cleaning up the town. Well 11 o'clock came and about 500 people showed up with their buckets - to find that the fountain was not shut off but working beautifully - and a big sign posted that said 'April Fools'
Thought those were really funny.
Note on weight: I am using Weight Commander (got it from the internet for $9.95 and is well worth it). Every day you record your weight and it tells you a number of things. One thing it does is gives you a prediction for 30 - 60 - 90 as to what you would weigh according to what you have posted. This is based on 14 days worth of weigh ins. Should you be on a trend to reverse the reducing to increasing - it will tell you based on the 14 days you have entered. I have been using it now for just about 3 weeks and yesterday was a first day for showing a trend for reversal - possible gain - unless I took proper action. Today's recording was down - but still need to get the flucation down by about 1/2 pound - I am really finding this program helpful - I do not obsess with weighing each day - I just weigh in on my Weight Watchers digital scale (measures to 0.1 of a pound - cost was $80.00) and then Weight Commander tells me the prediction for the effort I have put into it. It takes into account that our weight flucates on a daily bases - mine can be up as much as 3 pounds at any given time during the week - but the longer I use Weight Commander it will be able to tell me if a given day has been a problem so that I can beware to watch on those days.
Well, supper is in the slow cooker - chicken and veggs - and the potatoes are just about done - so have to run - take care everyone
It's a beautiful day here too! The sun is out and it's wasn't windy but it got that way and the birds are out and singing. Ahhh, just like a paradise.
Sunny~ Your plans sound like fun. And it's a good thing that you have to eat early to avoid the crowd. I will definitely say some prayers concerning Joe's job and those that have lost or are losing their jobs. Most of the time it seems to be the older ones that it happens to that have been with the company for a long time and only have a year or two left before they can retire. We won't let that happen to Joe, we will start praying NOW!
Hey, I thought MY color was teal! It looks like you used it for MNewton. Well, if you have to change my color, please make it a really bright one, like pink, purple or yellow. Those are my favorites. Don't overdo it working in those beds today. But enjoy being able to get outside in the beautiful sunshine and soak it in.
Gary~ Your big bed is awesome! Could you please build one of them for me?? I have just the place for it. Okay? Your pictures were GREAT!!! What a handsome and beautiful family!
Michele~ Glad to hear your job went well. Sounds like it wouldn't be like a job but a time you (and I) would enjoy. Time will probably go by pretty quickly. I hope your Sunday goes well, too.
Sprout~ Thanks for sharing those April Fools jokes. One of the radio stations around here made a call and pretended to be a man from India at the local airport waiting for (whoever answered the phone) his ride to pick him up. It was really funny but I can only imagine how frustrating it was.
Thanks also for all your devotions. I appreciate the time you spend doing that. The weight commander sounds like a really neat deal. I may check it out sometime. Where did you get it from??
MNewton~ I don't know the whole story but from what you said, sounds like Channon is doing well and the tumor is shrinking. I will pray for the child as well as the family. I look forward to getting to know you better.
Well, better turn in for the night. Hope EVERYONE has a WONDERFUL Sabbath!!! Give God the Glory!!!

It's been beautiful here too I didn't overdo at all... I only had time to go out for an hour or two before I came in to get ready for dinner out, but loved every minute of it. I have the windows open now and the birds are singing away and very busy building nest in all of our birdhouses.
Hi Sprout I enjoyed reading your April Fools Stories too... did you read mine in Michele's post? Joe is still talking about it to our friends He isn't use to me telling such stories It was fun...
Don'tcha just love them slow cookers! Your dinner sounded delish Today is Sunday... and for us that means Pasta & a very veggie Dinner Salad to go with
Hello again MNewton, I am sorry I missed your update about Channon... I am so glad to hear that she is progressing so well She'll be in my continued prayers.
*~*~*
Joe & I had a great time with Peggy last night. Her hubby, Mike, couldn't make it He is a plumber and was "on call" and just before they were to meet us he was called out. Peg, Joe & I still got together in hopes Mike would be able to join us at one point, but he wasn't able to. We still had a nice time, but it's not quite the same when one of us can't be there. We didn't get anything special from BJ's Wholesale Club after dinner... just allot of lawn and garden stuff. We have to do what we can to help everything along
I do hope that you all are enjoying the wonderful weather! I sure do miss all our MIA's!! MKay,Sami,Wilma,Sue,Margie B,Bunna,Teel, and anyone else I may have missed Come back soon! You may think that we forget, NOT! Sherry was gone for a long time and we remembered her
Gotta run... *May God Bless Everyone's Day of Rest*

Hi,
I have been "sneaking" into your forum to read some of your posts for awhile now. I am really enjoying the way you encourage one another here.
Is your support group open to anyone?
My name is Virginia. I live in the beautiful Northwest and I have been married to
the same wonderful man for almost 25 years. We have 10 children ranging from 22-2.
We are born again, (Independent Baptist) Christians.
I love good food and love to bake but
Emotional eating has probably been my most frustrating struggle in life and I could really use prayer, encouragement and accountability in this area.
Is this the place to be? If not, do you have any direction for me?
Thanks Ladies.
I am looking forward to meeting you all.
Virginia
Hello it is me the stranger! I have been so busy and the kids hoging the computer! I am still down 35lbs and I can tell I am losing lots of inches!!!!
I pray everyone had a Blessed Easter. We went to my DD (who is expecting) and we had a nice time. My teens and DH was in charge the the Easter breakfast at Church. My DD is due anytime now so I will keep you posted and I will learn how to use scanner to send pictures. I need to go back and catch up on everyone. I have missed you and promise as soon as school is over I get the computer when I get home!!!!
Hello again
I just noticed that my weight tracker needed updated.
I went back into the weight trackers and redid mine but it is not showing up with my signature. The old one is still showing. Can anyone advise me as to how to apply the updated one?
Sorry to be a pain but thanks for the help.
Virginia
I'm sorry that I haven't posted lately. I've been busy studying for something I have to know for work. I'm taking a much needed break. I did spend yesterday doing some shopping and going to look at furniture with my future DIL. She found a futon for $250.00 and a coffee table for $25.00. It was a great day for her. Now all she needs is a bed.
I weighed in this a.m. and am still the same. I guess I need to change things up again. I go to my doc on thurs. to have my BP checked. I am praying it has helped that I've cut back on salt. I'll let you know.
Work has been going well. I am learning things and sometimes have to be told twice how to do things. I'm glad I have 3 more weeks of training to go through and then I might feel confident enough to go it on my own.
Welcome momof10: ten kids! I admire you!! If you're looking for encouragement and prayer support you're in the right place.
Sami: Great to see you again and so much thinner. Send pics please!! I've missed you!
Sunny: Glad you had a nice time with your friend. I know what it's like to go out alone because DH is working. I'm glad you went out with her anyway.
Sue: I don't think I've greet you yet. I'm so glad you're back and that you're doing well.
Well, DH wants to go for a drive and I sure can use the change of scenery. Talk to you all again soon.
I hope you all had a great week-end. Didn't do much yesterday...spent most of the afternoon and evening watching this reality show on martial arts fighting, then they had the finals on live from Las Vegas...had no idea how many famous entertainers watched this sport(?)...I enjoyed it so you know it was disgusting!! My wife, sister in law and daughter were here for part of it and couldn't stand it...my step-d and neice had no problem with it.
Took the nephew to Home depot this afternoon to get some plants for his garden. If I remember I will post a picture I took of him and my step-d working in it.
MOMOF10 WELCOME! What state in the northwest? I live in southern California but my wife and I just bought a second home in south east Washington.
SAMI So glad to see you still checking in...skinny!!!! Waiting for GRANDbaby pictures just as soon as they are available...put pressure on your kiddo time is a wasting!
SUNNY Angie and I went to a Red Robin in Washington and I loved it. We have them in our area I just never went to one around here. So glad to hear you are having good weather for a change...really makes a difference on how I feel about "life"! Praying for job security for Joe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My step-d Lara had a high school play last night... Angie, my sil, Ron, and neices went to watch it...it was GREASE....Angie made logos for the back of the "gang" leather jackets then sewed them on ...Burger Palace Boys...should have taken pictures...oops! Anyway, all that 50's stuff~thought of you! Lara wasn't in the play as an actor...she was with the costumes.
SHERRY the planter box was easy! Just $85 worth of 2x4's and fenceing. The last ones I made werwe much more difficult with blocks , plaster and stucco to match the house...then ended up taking down 3 of the 6 for room for the dogs...I believe you missed out on all my "PUPPY" stuff...we have 2 golden retreiver's now, about 14 months old each. My kids are beautiful...I have this re-occuring dream that I am on Maury Povich...hearing "Gary....you are NOT the father!" I'm kidding!!!!!! And if you don't get it....that means you don't watch Maury...which makes you much more "mature" than me!!!!
HI TO EVERYONE ....gotta jam! Angie just said springs on garage door just busted.....darn!
