Good Morning, Everyone! Boy, a person does get behind when you can't post on the weekends, but I'm trying to catch up now.

Bargoo-Praise God for good test results and your appointment in a new ministry. You will do a good job Prayers continue for your improving health, as well!

CAT-hope you visit frequently!

Rosebud-thanks for the prayers and asking about DS3. He's still in pain frequently and needs to do his PT exercises more often, so I may have his doc send instructions to DH's physical therapist so DS3 can go and get hands-on help to keep his motivation up and track his progress better. He struggles with the issue of not being able to do the same things (such as football) that his friends in youth group do as that is a big part of the junior high-er's socialization and he doesn't want to miss out, so he joins in and pays for it the next day. Thank you for your concern Glad you had some sun after your snow-it's been out here too a little but still sooooo cold!

Wilma-Great news that DH's arm is healing well!

Kathy-It's good you were able to talk to your boss and he seems understanding-too bad the brother won't just grow up and quit nosing around! Makes you want to put mousetraps in the drawers or something, doesn't it

Kelli-I was bad (and still am at times) with the abbreviations when I started here too-you'll catch on!

Gary-I just can't imagine that many men in one hotel room! So, who does the loudest snoring? Glad your next job is near home and you can relax a bit more. Prayers for your DD and that they find the cause for the lightheadedness quickly.

SunnyD-glad you're back! I'm also new since you have been gone, but look forward to getting to know you better! Very sorry to learn of your health issues, but praise to God for helping you heal.

Laurie-glad you had a good trip! Thanks for the prayers.

Kelli-prayers for your church situation. I know how hard it is to find a church where you feel like you're getting "fed" and fit in as well. We moved here 3 years ago and I'm just now feeling like I'm part of the group. It just takes me awhile, as I'm very introverted, but I've tried to get more involved in little ways, like being the photographer at the Halloween-alternative party and starting in adult Sunday school classes even though my DH won't go. Sometimes you have to let go of the "old" church so you can start feeling like you're part of the "new" if that makes any sense. Give it time and I agree that sometimes you have to pick your church based on their children's programs-that's what we did when we moved here and it's turned out great!

Well, I'm just going on and on, aren't I? Just want to update you all on Ryan (the boy from our church). The infection from the burst appendix spread to the skin on his abdomen and legs, so he is having hyperbaric(sp?) treatments daily, as well as lots of antibiotics to try to avoid skin grafts, but it's my understanding that if they don't see progress really quickly, another surgery will have to be done. They really are a nice family and I know they appreciate all the prayer they can get, so thank you all!

Thanks to you all, also, for all the prayers for our situations since I started here. It seems as if things have piled on a bit with health issues and other problems, but the weight on the shoulders doesn't seem quite so large because of your support and I'm very grateful to you and to our Lord. Have a great day, everyone!

Kelli, I understand about finding the right church, I have been a member of some of those. The old members are courteous enough, but never make you feel at home. My neighbor invited me to a church picnic, I didn't know a soul there and only knew my neighbor slightly. They immediately made me feel at home. I have been there ever since. I like to say I came to dinner and just stayed. The Lord will lead you to the right place. There is a church that needs your unique gifts.

First, I wasn't too clear yesterday...what with no sleep in over 25 hours. BUT I do and will pray for our leaders...all of them. We are commanded to and I must. Just so everyone knows that!

Bargoo - YIPPEE! You will do awesome!!!

Kelli - Until you find the place for you, just study. Ask Him what He wants you to study and learn in this transition phase. you won't find a perfect church...as none of us are. i heard a quote once "the church was perfect until i got there" lol. God has a place prepared for you. It may be that He is just wanting you to seek HIM first...hmmm He always wants that!
I found that I grew so much more when I was focused on sitting at His feet and learning for myself.

I got some good words while in Texas and was shown how He intends to use me some more out there. I'm pretty stoked by that. A friend told me this morming that she sees how God has done what I've been wanting accomplished over the course of the past year and that has made Him so real to her. wow! we don't think about expressing our desires to others can allow them to see HIM at work! But it appears that has happened. Now, I may never shut up!!!! God ROCKS!

well, need to do homework. and still tired.

may God bless each of you in knowledge and Truth this week!

My name is Donna. I've been a Born Again Christian since 1972. I'm on the Worship Team at my church and love to sing for the Lord.

I'm so glad to find a Christian support group. I know that without Him, I'd never make it.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Donna

He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or even think!

DONNA ~ I was hoping that you would fine your way over here. I really love your Avatar; of course, I know what it stands for (your lovely son), and that makes it all the more special! Please be sure to share with everyone here about the book you are writing; I know they would like to hear about that!

Will be back later to post more; got some things to do right now. ROSEBUD

Ooops! I forgot why I got on here in the first place-wanted to update you all on Ryan. He's been eating and able to take walks around the nurse's station since Saturday! His parents said that it looks like the infection is starting to recede from his legs, too, and he's been able to play some playstation for a half hour or so at a time! Praise to God and thanks to all you prayer warriors for your help. My how times have changed, though, to have playstation as standard equipment in kids' hospital rooms

Gary - um, PLEASE send your cold weather my way - it was -17 (yes that is MINUS) this morning! Sounds like that was a good sermon indeed!

Kathy - how wonderful that you praise God with your voice. I'm hearing impaired and I can't carry a tune at all - I have to sing with my hands (sign) so that people don't leave in droves with their hands over their ears

Rosebud - glad you had more sun - and prayers continuing for your leg. How is it doing?

Kelli - just keep trying churches until you find a "home" God will show you where you will be fed and be able to serve and praise and glorify Him. I agree completely about God's part in the weightloss process. Definitely couldn't have done it without lots of prayer and guidance. It does help me to remember that our body is a temple - and we should take care of it since it does provide a home for the Holy Spirit!

Ronni - prayers continuing - thanks for the update on Ryan. Prayers for you as well as you deal with so many different situations!

Bev - it is a blessing to see the fruits of the seeds we have sown in others! So glad that you are growing in the Spirit and able to serve in new and exciting ways!

Donna - Glad you found us! This is INDEED a group of Christian Encouragers. They are the BEST prayer warriors. I am so thankful that they have been a part of my life for the last 1 1/2 years. Please post often so we get to know you!

Bargoo - prayers continuing for you as you move into this new chapter in your life. What a blessing for your congregation!

A busy day here - but I did get in an hour on the wii (upper body workout and some aerobics) And my weight didn't go up while on our mini vacation

Hope you all had a wonderful start to the week! Have a POP day on Tuesday!

Blessings,

Laurie

I am so blessed, thank you all so much for your encouragement, it made me cry. I was afraid when I told you I hadn't been going to church regularly you would criticize me, but instead you loved me. Thank you so much, I think your right I need to just keep trying to find the right one. The first time I went to my church in Salt Lake, God told me very plainly I was supposed to be there, and I guess I expected He would do the same here.

Ronni, I am so thrilled to hear about Ryan, I knew of a boy in Montrose who had the same problem with his appendix/skin, except his parents didn't believe in doctors. It haunts me how much he must suffer, as he was sick for over a year when I heard about him. I pray for him all the time. I am so happy for this boy

Donna Welcome! I am new here too and just love it, I am sure you will too. Please tell us about your book.

I am writing one too, well, sort of a book. It's a diet bible study. I started it for my foster daughter and I. I thought it would take two weeks to finish, Ha! nine years later I am still writing it. I have the first eight weeks posted on a website. I don't think they will let me post the name yet, but God has really blessed me with helping me find so many many scriptures that I can use for dieting. In fact I haven't really written it, mostly just compiled helpful Bible verses.

Rayne, I am surprised you were even coherent after no sleep, I can't even stand after less than eight. Can you tell us how God told you He was going to use you in TX??

Laurie, I love watching people praise God through signing, it blesses me more than you can imagine. It is so beautiful and graceful. It always touches me. So I think your voice is beautiful.

Kathy, Welcome I know you will love it here.

Bargo, That is so wonderful, I will continue to pray for you in your new position, I know God will continue to bless you with wisdom, I love your encouraging words, you have helped me here, and I am sure you will continue to help others in your congregation.

Talk to you all later
Kelli

HI EVERYONE, I'm back again ~ had to go put dinner on earlier. We had another lovely sunny day; we have been so blessed this year; almost every time the temps dip, we get lots of sunshine to warm things up again. Tonight, they have dipped a bit (-19 C), but we are supposed to have a warmer week with more snow near the weekend.

RONNI ~ so glad to hear that RYAN is getting better. Our Lord cares about His little children so much. Glad to hear that you may get some help from a therapist for DS3's back problems. It's understandable that he wants to join in the fun with his friends. Prayers for him, and that the therapist can finds some ways to help him.

KELLI ~ I have been in a similar boat myself concerning which church to go to. My DH is Catholic and started going back to his church, but they mostly speak French, which I do not understand. We live in a small town, and I have had trouble finding a church to go to as well (I used to go to Salvation Army and this little town doesn't have one here). So DH goes to his when he wants to (I go with him sometimes too), and sometimes, we go to another protestant church for me, when I feel well enuff to go. I know it is hard when you can't find one that is like the one you have been used to for many years.

LAURIE ~ thanks for the prayers for my leg; I'm trying a new salve on it and it seems like it is trying to heal, and kinda looks like it is smaller too. I sure hope it works!

Had a good day; stayed OP and managed to get some exercises in. Time to go put my legs up for a bit, and maybe have some tea. Take good care folks ... ROSEBUD ^^PRAYERS^^ continue for you and yours ...

Another long day but I am making time to come here today. I love the support you all give. I struggle each day not to eat what I'm not supposed to. Tonight I went to a celebration for work and ate some things I shouldn't have. I sure felt it later. I guess I need to listen to my body more closely.

Rosebud: I'm taking a course for work but I'm doing it online at home. It will hopefully help advance my career. Between studying and trying to get work done on my quilt I'm kept busy each evening.

Gary: I know you weren't giving me a hard time. Sometimes I read the posts and keep everyone in my prayers but my life seems like the same old all the time. I appreciate being here and can't believe that I've been on this thread for so long.

This thread has helped me lose a lot of weight and I am so thankful for that.

Welcome to all the newbies. Its so neat to see so many people here. I can remember times when there were just 3 or 4 of us.

Prayers!

Laurie - you always encourage me! and I love TRYING to praise with sign. I learned some when i was little...but i don't know much. i think it is so beautiful and a wonderful way to express!!!

Kelli - i really wasn't that coherent. i did sleep quite well!!!! What He wants to use me for there? Well, I have this friend that is pagan now. I didn't read into it much before I went out there...just knew that I had to be a good witness WITHOUT using words, as those don't work well. The last day I was there, I said something and I saw the light bulb go off for him. As I was driving back to Dallas...I saw how God will continue to use me in that way with him. This guy understands the 'other' side of things so well that when he is on God's team...he can teach more in-depth about spiritual warfare. That will move mountains!!!! I can't wait to see it!

So, God let me know that I will be going back.

I missed everyone on here. I have a tickle in my throat and am rebuking any sickness In Jesus name! AMEN! right now, i keep having to clear my throat.

i hope to see my brother tomorrow. i had an ex bf call tonight, we broke up because he has a drinking problem and it doesn't work in my life, and he was drunk and wanted me to go to his house and feed his dog. i laid it out for him about what he needs to do and how i am not going to be pulled back into his life. i was working on my stats hw with my friend and her hubby and they were so proud of what i said that they both cheered! it was funny.

he needs prayer. he hasn't been home in 2 days...his dog and cat had NO food...i bought some and am keeping it in my trunk cause you never know. but the animals were happy to see me! i did it for them...not him.

it's hard to be a christian without enabling...

be blessed and at peace!

I'm sick, whiny and some 5 yr old stole my chicken and stars soup!

My throat feels like sand paper. I'm tired. Not eating good today. Not bad, but not good.

I hope you all feel amazing and Know that He is our HEALER! i am reminding myself of that now!

Awww Bev,

It's no fun to be sick. I hope you get lots of sleep. I'm not quite close enough to bring you chicken soup, but I would if I could! Here's the best I can do for now:

i'll pray you get better soon!
