Wow Michele you are doing great! Busy busy busy LOL

The Omron certainly looks nice. It is a lot more lightweight than I expected from the size of it.

Good Morning Ladies!

Hope everyone is having a good morning, or will be soon! I did 2 miles this morning, but not logging yet, as I am planning on walking home from work tonight. Wow, I can't believe how far we are! We are booking! Great job everyone, and have a great day.

Blyn- so sorry to hear about your doggie...

Misti - nice to know that we all have blonde moments. I've actually been laughing about being a blonde again the last few days. I dyed my hair red a while back (more like purple, lol) and happened to get my new military ID that day. Now that it is going back blonde, they take so much time looking at my ID when I come on base to decide if it is really me. Oh well.. Hope you enjoy that new pedometer. Let me know how you like it, I'm thinking about getting one.

Have a great day everyone, and see you later!

Dee

My legs protested heavily after Sunday's 4 miles. I tried walking yesterday during my nightly cartoons, but my legs were literally too weak to do it for more than a few minutes. So, I let it be. Today, though, I'm getting back on the ball! :D

Woo Hoo!

Wow.. so I started my new job today. We are about to re-open the Borders Express that died during the hurricane. Talk about working, luggin around boxes and boxes of books. I should definitely be able to fit into my khakis by the time we open in two weeks. YAY! Not having to buy new work type clothes would be great. But here we go for the day:

Day miles were logged: 4/4

Here's a little bio on me. My name is Debbie, I said in the other thread that I live about 2 hrs. south of I-90, I actually live about 2 hrs. NORTH of I-90. I have lived in Montana for 6 years now, originally from Colorado Springs, CO. I am 37 years old and have been married to my DH for 15 1/2 years now. We have not been able to have children and I have come to terms with that. The hounds that you see in my avatar are our children, they are spoiled rotten children too.

I am looking forward to getting to know all of you. I have gotten a kick out of the thread so far. You ladies are a hoot.

Blyn- My DH grew up in SD. What part of SD are you from? We are going to Custer in June for a family reunion. I am getting excited, it is so beautiful there.

Misti in Seattle 04-05-2006 01:45 AM

Glad to see all of you out there working your butts off (literally)!! :)

Start - Good mileage! You are more than started :)

Lydia - I'm glad to see you are taking cautions and working back into things gradually and as you are able. Don't overdo!!

Blyn - Glad you are enjoying the sunshine! We are having it too but I don't like it LOL... want more rainshine! We had so much this winter... record breaking... you would think I would be tired of it... but NOT!!

Jayde - LOL great way to win friends and influence people!! :dancer:

Dee -- that job is going to have you skinny as a rail in no time!! LOL

Debbie - Thanks for the great intro. Look forward to getting to know you too! And you are right... LOL this bunch is rather comical, huh? <G> (Hey, our tickers match.... LOL)

Hey I put on shorts tonight and wore the ped after I got home from work and it improved my steps LOL. Except it is YOUR fault that I had to go clean up my kitchen as I was sooooo close to 14,000 and had to go over it LOL

Good Morning!

Good Morning Ladies! Hope that you all get a good start on the day! Anyone know where we currently are? I was thinking about putting together a website with our travels, so I'm going to have to do some research today. I'm wanting to see more of where we've been and where we're going.

Debbie- beautiful children, I have a 9 mo old yellow Lab, and she is spoiled also. She makes herself at home on my side of the bed every morning when I get out of it to walk.

Misti- that is the reason that I'm afraid to get a pedometer. I'm a bit obsessive/compulsive about things when I get started, and I'm afraid that I'd drive myself nuts trying to make my steps go up all the time. But GREAT JOB.

Great Job to everyone! We are really moving! I did 2 miles this morning, and I'll be walking home from work again tonight. I actually ran a bit of this mornings walk, I'm trying to work up to running for a half mile continously, then a mile, then so on.

I'll stop rambling now. Everyone have a great day!

I didn't do as well yesterday. I did a mile yesterday morning and PLANNED to get back to it, but I just never did it. Steps were also down a bit at school. I didn't quite hit my 10000 for the day. I'll do better today. It seems as though I have to plan on 2 fitness miles or more in order to be SURE I hit my 10000. I'll just have to rearrange my days to plan on that, I guess.

On the bright side: I broke a million steps on my personal counter!!!! 1005458 to be exact!!! I am excited about that! Now it's on to 2 million! I'm also about 8 fitness miles from breaking last year's mileage. Planning on breaking that by the end of the week.

Let's go, marchers!!!!

Michele

Good morning, everyone! Here we are up and at 'em again!

Dee good idea about the website! That would be fun! I don't know where we are either except somewhere between Buffalo NY and Erie PA.

As to the pedometer; yes, it does help me push myself but I like that LOL. Besides, I am the type who could take a break and lie down in the middle of my bed and take a break and not worry about it LOL.

Since I went to college in Buffalo, I just had to mention chicken wings....(food porn, I know, sorry!) I have lived in many different parts of the country and you just can't find better wings anyhere. Well, that's not totally true, I've had some god ones in NYC. But the recipe came from Buffalo....They were invented at the Anchor Bar, and those are good but my favorite place is Duffs!

Way to go!! I didn't get any mileage in yesterday, because I was sick in bed with a migraine. I feel much, much better today, but I didn't get a lot of miles in :( Way to go everybody!!

Misti in Seattle 04-05-2006 09:35 PM

Wooo hoooo you are not going to BELIEVE my steps for today! LOL I volunteered to do a huge photocopying job at work for over an hour so walked back and forth in the mailroom and out into the hall, LOL... then took someone shopping after work as well as my usual steps. I want to get a few more in before I report though!

Jayde 04-05-2006 10:40 PM

Everyone is doing great.. keep moving along and we'll be in PA in no time! That being said.. um no miles for me today. I attended my yoga class after work and then suddenly got caught up in a whirl wind. Doing something for a friend.. So I didn't get my cardio workout in.. And I feel so unbalanced because of it.

Have a great day.. tomorrow is a new one..

AnnieFannie 04-05-2006 11:03 PM

Wow.. :carrot: you guys are really moving.. had to jog some to catch up with you all. Well, I am happy to report I did some walking while I was away and moving was pretty easy. Still a bit chaotic here because we are having to buy all new because most of our stuff is in storage in Vermont. Hoping to save up some money and have it shipped to us. It would be nice. Just glad to have cable and internet up and going. I was going nuts watching the same SpongeBob Squarepants DVD over and over again for the past 4 days. ARG. Time to report my miles. :)

Had a great day. I had almost 10000 before supper, which means almost all done at school. Then, after supper, I did a 2 miles WATP. I'm going to the middle school again tonight, so I'll do the elliptical for some extra steps.

It's the start of a BUSY few weeks. In addition to the usual Thursday activities (dance and Scouts), tonight my son is starting a soccer camp for 6 weeks. It's Tues/Thurs (of course!) from 5-6. Scouts start at 7:00 til 8:00 and dance is 7:30-8:30. Supper is going to be tricky on Thursdays. Tuesdays won't be so bad, except next Tues, which is his music program. He has to be there by 6:45, dressed nicely! Another rushed meal. Oh well, when they're active, they can't get into trouble!

Have a great walking day!

Michele

Misti in Seattle 04-06-2006 08:14 AM

Okay... I figured this up but didn't have time to double check my figures... but I come up with 99.87 additional miles, which puts us at 536 unofficially! Which puts us a few miles West of Erie PA headed toward Cleveland OH. I think. :)

HealthierMe 04-06-2006 08:21 AM

Over 550 miles

Hi everyone-
Dee I love the idea of a website, that would be a lot of fun.

I am trying to log in every day and keep up with the miles and locale, but things have been absolutely crazy lately. Also I will be away from SATURDAY through WEDNESDAY. I'll be logging a lot of miles but will be away from the computer. It would be nice if someone could log the miles from Saturday to Wednesday and update the location, Any VOLUNTEERS? I will be sure to tally them late tomorrow night and/or early Saturday.

So, now that that is out of the way, with my miles we are at a total of 552 miles. We are now in OH, in a town/city called Conneaut. Great job everyone!

Michele, a million miles, wow, you go girl!

and MISTI, 9 miles in one day, wow! BTW- one of the reason that I ordered the pedometer is that you are supposed to be able to keep it in your pocket instead.

Well off to work!

It has rained here non-stop for the last 2 days. Misti, I am with you, I love the rain, but I hate the wind which is blowing like crazy today.

Blyn- He was born/lived in Watertown and Hoven. He also lived in Aberdeen. He has family still in all those towns and also in Custer. We go to Custer every year for a family reunion and he goes back every year to Hoven to go pheasant hunting.

Dee- When it is cold our labs like to sleep on the bed. Only problem is one is 75 lbs. and the other is 110 lbs. and we only have a queen size bed. DH usually gets up before I do and as soon as he is out, they both are in. 9 months old is such a fun age for them to be at!!

Michele L 04-06-2006 11:25 AM

Sorry, Chris, I wish I could say a MILLION MILES, but it's a MILLION STEPS! I feel like I'm improving but not THAT much (lol)!!

I'm going to the middle school tonight, if the weather doesn't cancel my son's soccer practice. We've got some SERIOUS thunderstorms here today and more on the way later, so who knows.....If I don't do the elliptical, I'll go home and do a WATP or the treadmill. Either way, I'm working out!!!

Happy Thursday!

Michele

Jayde 04-06-2006 09:26 PM

I went back up to the intervals I tried the other day (2.4-3.6 mph and 2-7% incline) but only used the weights for 1 mile of the workout. It certainly was a more pleasant experience.

I can hardly believe we are already out of NY. WOW! Keep moving everyone.. enjoy the journey. .but keep moving.. :carrot:

AnnieFannie 04-06-2006 11:12 PM

Well, I didn't get much walking in today, but I did manage to get outside for a little bit. The rain stopped early in the morning so it was nice out expect for being cloudy. The weather here is really off and on. Now I remember why I didn't mind living in Vermont. They had lots of snow and it could get really cold, but they didn't have thunderstorms or tornados like Iowa. Alas, I am glad to be back.

And yes Misti, you guys are much more entertaining then SpongeBob.
