Morning Patty. It used to be (which was a 100 years ago) that once you paid for one WW meeting that you could attend as many as you wanted within that week. So I think that you would be able to go to both if you wanted. That might help keep your motivation up.
I think that once our weather gets nice and I can get outside and plant flowers and mess around in the yard I'll feel better. We have a little over of an acre yard, which is fun at the begining of spring but by the end of fall I'm really tired of it. I lost my yard fellows when they grew up and moved on (sons) So now it's mine and DH chore again. My husband farms 75 acres on the side so that keeps him busy a good deal of the summer. It's part of our farm so it's right behind the house and he is just out back if I need him for anything.
Better get some work done, have a low fat, fun filled day.

Good Afternoon
We'll I just found out that they have cancelled the WW@ work program here. I asked why & they said they did not want them on our property selling there product & then the girl said it was actually management in my dept. Oh, well,, I just have to continue to go to the one a few blocks away. Luckily I can go underground all the way if it's cold or raining.
Your farm sounds great, how many acres 75? wow that is big.. What do you all farm? wheat, corn?Do you all have animals too? I'm a city girl... we'll actually I live in the suburbs about 20 miles out of the city... but i can be there in 35 to 40 min..
I'm having a hard time drinking my water today... I have not even drank a whole water bottle... My goal to to drink 3 of them at work and 1 to 2 at home...
well i need to run... have a great day..

Good Morning Patty, BTW does anyone else ever post to this thread? Looks as if it just you and me. That didn't quite come out sounding right, I do enjoy talking with you but was just wondering if anyone else is a regular?

Up until two years ago my husband farmed full time. He farmed about 950 acres rented ground plus ours. To make a long story short, one of his landlords (which is an elderly widow) let two of her nefews farm her ground. Then he (DH) made the decision to let go of some "not so great ground" and just look for employment. Well let me tell you that this has been a journey. You take a 53 year old man that has been his own boss for 30 years and throw him out into the working world. Bless his heart, it's been quite an adustment for both of us. But I'm happy to say that now he is doing great, he found employment with the Federal Gov't and has great benefits but golly we both will be dead before we can retire. I've worked on and off and switched jobs a lot, so I'll be working ...like forever. We do not have any animals on our farm, in fact where we live is almost like a subdivision with houses every quarter mile or so. I grew up in the next house (brother lives there now) and we had cows, chickens, a horse, dogs and cats. You don't find many of those around our area any more, ah there are a few people that have horses, but not the old timey farms. My husband grows just soybeans now. In this area we grow corn, wheat, milo, cotton, soybeans, and rice.

How'd you end up doing on the water yesterday? I drank about 82 ozs, it getting much easier and it will for you, just hang in there. I've already gotten in 33 oz this AM. I did my exercise yesterday and half of today's this morning.(do you think I'm on a roll)

Have a great eating and drinking Thursday, Water that is!

Got to get to work, bye for now.

Hello
We'll first ... I had my weigh in today & I lost 1.4 lbs.. I'm so excited...I know I still have 29 lbs to go.. but it's a start...
I'm still having a hard time with the water... I have only drank 48 oz tonight, so I guess I still have 16 to go I started back to walking on my treadmill, I wish I would get up and do a video in the am & then walk in the evening.. I can't see that happening though.
I bet that was hard for your husband to go & have to work for someone, after all the years, but i'm glad he has a good job with the govt. I can't imagine starting at new job after 30 years. I can't imagine me, going somewhere else.. I've been at my company for 23 years... Almost half my life... (i'm 40)..

Keep up the exercise... you can never get to much... Pretty soon you'll be saying I have to take this dress & get it altered... it's too big...
talk to you tomorrow...

Happy March 1st and Friday! Three cheers for your weight loss and the exercise too You go Girl!

With the way my dress is made I could lose 5 to 10 pounds and it would be fine, however it won't allow for any add ons.

So what do you do for fun? Any hobbies or interest? I like to do crafts, let me rephrase that, I like to own the stuff to do crafts with. I used to do some type of needlework all the time and I've sort of gotten burned out on it. So then I started buying stuff to do cards and some painting stuff. I have quite a nice collection and have I done anything with it......Not a single thing. But I'm gonna.

I finally got everything hooked up on the home computer and installed the internet cd last night, so we're good to go. Well I'm leaving about 2:00 today so I better get going.

Have a great weekend.

Thank goodness it's Friday!
I am ready for the weekend... Let's see my hobbies... I like to play softball, & volleyball. This is the 1st season that i'm not playing, my knees start hurting midseason. I love to travel, I went to Europe 3 years ago & hopefully planning another trip this year. I also love to go see our TEXAS Rangers Baseball team. I have a mini-package with some friends, so I end up going to about 18 games during the season. I also have 1 niece(15) & nephew (26) , & i love to spend time with them, and I have a dog, & last year I was busy with him in obidence class. I think he finally got me trained .
we'll i need to run... Hope you have a great weekend...

Good Monday Morning. Once again it is freezing here, but according to the weather predictions it will start to warm up in the next few days. It is VERY hard for me to drink water when I am so cold. I work in a very old, and not so insulated building and when the wind is blowing it is cold. I usually wear pant liners but didn't today, BIG MISTAKE.
Europe, gosh I would love to go there someday. Only been out of the US once and that was to Canada. There is a lot of the US that I would love to see too. Now that Hubby won't be tied down so much we hope to start traveling some. Or hope to when we get our youngest out of college. I'm not wishing his life away, but I'm ready to be free of that financial burden. I want to see and do lots of things before one of us gets unable to do so because of health or age.
Very busy here at work today and is only going to get worse in the weeks to come. I'm so not ready for this. Chat later.

Default Tae Bo

Hi there. I have been thinking about doing Tae Bo as a form of exercise and was wondering what you think of it as I do not know a lot about it apart from seeing a little of it on a television ad. Can you learn it from a video or are you better going to a class and is it very difficult?
I am 50 years old and do linedancing and walking for exercise but I would like to try something else to try and shift this last bit of weight.

Talking

Good Morning. Welcome Mooz, I like the TaeBo tapes, but I would strongly suggest that you get the instructional tape first. If you do the exercise incorrectly you could pull something. I'm 52 and I have to tell you that it's hard at first, but go at your own pace and then as you get stronger you can push yourself a little more each week. The first time that I made it through the whole tape I was so very proud of myself. The tapes are very good for an all over tone and firming. I recommend it. Hope you decide to give it a try and stay with us if you would like. We would love to hear about your progress, regardless if it's taeBo or something else that your doing.
I'll check back later, bye for now.

Good Morning
Mooz49 - I would recommend TaeBo, but like Semo said start with the instructional tape.. & work at your own pace. When it comes to the kicks, you don't have to kick as high as they do on the video, you can always modify.
Semo - I was out yesterday, had a training class... This was actually a good one. We had cold weather here this past weekend. We actually got sleet in the morning. I stayed in most of the weekend. You think I would of exercise, but I didn't. We'll I need to get to work. Talk to you later..

Default Tae Bo

Thank you Patty and Semo for your advice. I will look for the Instructional tape the next time I go shopping as I would like to try and do something different. I walk and go linedancing for exercise (but not at the same time)
I see you two are trying to drink more water - thats what I am trying to do too. Don't they advise you to drink two litres per day -that is a lot of water!
I go to WW and I have not done that well this week so I am not looking forward to the weighin tonight. I weigh about 166 pounds and I would like to be about 152.
Will call again

Wow! Guess it's been a while since I posted. Hello 1Day!! And hello to SEMO and mooz. I'm trying to be a regular here!! Kind of gave it up for a couple of weeks. My husband was shipping off to boot camp and things were crazy around here. But now he is gone . Now it is "me" time and I'm getting my big butt in gear.

I got sooooo burned out on Tae Bo. I did the same tape for 4 months and just can't bear to put it in the VCR again. This week, however, I've managed to exercise everyday (since saturday) by starting with a 20 minute aerobic routine, then doing the TaeBo 8 minute workout and I like that pretty well. I also bought 3 new tapes on ebay over the weekend and should be getting them in the mail this week. I'm hoping the variety will keep me motivated. I have a LOT of work to do on this flabby bod before I go to my hubby's graduation in May!!

Anyhoo, looking forward to getting to know all of you better. Talk at ya later,
Jen

Welcome Back Jahari - I think I have the same problem with you ... I have to stay motivated. I have several of the tae-bo tapes & one of the Richard Simmons one... My problem is getting started... But I have a goal now... I want to go to Europe this summer & I would like to be able to wear shorts...
Mooz49 - You can find the tapes at your local Walmart, or target & even on ebay. I haven't tried e-bay, I'm always afraid i'll get ripped off. Oops I just realized your not in the US, so i'm not sure where you can find them. Drinking water is very important on the WW program. I guess it's important no matter what program your on.
We'll I need to run... my SmartONes lunch is calling me...

Gosh I was surprised when I came back here, lots of posts, yeah!

Things are starting to pick up here at work. Our local high school won another tournment last night and they are going to state. My boss is a big fan so he will be attending and that means that I will probably be working this weekend. But hey that's okay because I can always use the overtime money.

Jen, just think of the great body you can have by the time your hubby gets to graduation. He's going to be working hard and we can too. How long before you get to see him?

I've been pulling info off the computer about the benefits of deep breathing. Anyone know anything about it? I bid on one of the tapes on ebay but there are several days before the auction is over so we'll see if I have any luck.

Better run, I'm outta here in 15.

Greetings all!

1Day: I tried looking around at several local stores, but the shelves seemed to be stacked with nothing buy yoga tapes. Guess that must be the latest "thing" huh? I found a HUGE selection on ebay. My husband calls me the ebay queen. I've done over 80 transactions on ebay as both a buyer and a seller. I've never been ripped off when buying something. If you buy on ebay, always check the sellers feedback rating, and that should give you an idea of whether or not you should buy from them. If they have lots of happy customers, than I wouldn't worry. Don't bid on any items where the seller has lots of negatives, or no feedback at all. The only problems I've ever had is when I've sold things. I've had three people who decided not to pay, but other than that, I LOVE ebay!

SEMO: I'll get to see him for one day at his graduation in May, then he ships off for another 10 weeks of training at an airfield in Texas, then he'll get stationed, THEN me and the kids can go be wherever he is somewhere around August or September. So I want to look GOOD by May, and AWESOME by August!!
I don't know anything about the deep breathing. Let us know if you find out something interesting.

Well, did 20 minutes of aerobics and 10 minutes of Tae Bo again today. Can't wait to get my new tapes. They should be showing up somewhere between now and the weekend. I'm already getting bored of doing the same thing over and over, and it's only been 5 days!! I need the variety for sure!

Anyhoo, guess that's it for now. Talk at ya later,
Jen
