Good morning to all you girls.
Semo glad you had a good time in Nashville and I'm sure you will make a brilliant MIL
Guess what? The sun is shining here again today although it is frosty.
I weigh in tonight and I am sure I would have done well if it had not been for the weekend which probably undid all my good work from the three days before.
Gotta rush now and get a shower before I get my youngest up for school.
Will call later.

Patty, very impressive on the basketball knowledge!! I KNEW I liked you!!! Being in Texas, though, you probably know more about football.. or this that just an evil stereotype?
Well, I am on the ball today, I went out at 6 AM and rode my bike on the greenway. It was a little chilly, but that's what long johns are for LOL!!! I saw a fox too!! He was very cute. He came running out of the brush by the pond and scared the living **** out of me! I thought it was a dog, and I am afraid of strange dogs. Why do I never have my camera when I need it?

SEMO, I bet you are a wonderful MIL. I adored mine from day one. She was actaully my husbands step-mom, his mom had died when he was only 15. :-( When we first met she was dating my FIL and I was dating my husband. She passed away in 1998 and I still really miss her sometimes. My own mom is a good MIL too. I think she's a better MIL and grandma than a mom LOL!!
MOOZ, I have to tell you, you crack me up!! I love starting my mornings by reading what you all have had to say!

Jehari: Do you have a pair of pants that are perhaps one size too small? This is a good way to measure your progress when the scale is being a total pain. After couple of weeks or so try the pants on, eventually they will fit to perfection.
Well, ladies. gotta get ready for work!
geez, I was a windbag today1

Good morning ladies!! I haven't hit a lick of exercise since Saturday morning. I don't know if it's because of Aunt Flow visting or if it's medical but I have this really bad pain in my lower left side. It just jabs then before I can say ouch it's gone. If it doesn't go away after my time of the month then I guess I need to go have it checked. Ugh....

I've been following a really low carb diet for a week and I think that It has helped get my weight lost going again. Sometimes I think that you just have to do something different because your system gets accustomed to what you do every day. Does that make any sense?

It rained all day yesterday then just poured last night. I am so ready for spring, the temps are pretty chilly too.

Lauri, do you live in a rural area? We see fox every once in awhile. Farmers usually don't want them around because they make dens and equipment can drop through them causing damage. We have a lot of wildlife in this area, love to see them.

Well better run, talk to ya later. ((hugs to all))

Hi all - just calling in before I go to bed.
I went to WW tonight and lost 2 pounds so I am feeling quite pleased with myself.
Lauri you certainly are keen - out at 6 AM riding your bike!
Semo I think you are right about doing something different to get the weightloss going again. I really need to start and eat a bit more of a variety of food instead of my usual meals.
Must get to bed now as I really need my beauty sleep!
Night night all

Good Morning Lauri, Semo, Patty, Jen and Barb.
It's a beautiful morning here in Ireland and I am feeling in control. That's what its all about girls.
I forgot to tell you that I went to a keep fit class on Monday night at our local recreation centre and boy am I suffering for it now. The muscles in the front of my thighs are so sore when I walk and especially when I sit down or get up. The squats did that! I really impressed myself by doing 19 pressups and I mean the proper ones - keeping the body straight. It must be a combination of the Tae Bo, the weights and The Ab Slide that have helped me there. I have never been able to do pressups before.
As you probably have guessed I gotta rush now and get to the shower before I get my youngest up for school.

The chief cause of failure and unhappiness is trading what we want most for what we want at the moment - Unknown

Will call later and see how you all are getting on.

Good Morning All. The sun is shining here but yet the temp is cool. ........Where the heck is everyone?

I'm taking off at noon today, my house needs some tender loving care and the kids are all coming in this weekend so I need to get some things done. Bridal shower is this weekend too plus cooking for Easter Sunday.

My side is much better this morning, so I hope by tomorrow I'll be back to exercising. I'm hoping that it's a sign that my TOTM will soon be over. That's about the only thing that I look forward to that comes with old age.

Barb, don't quit us, if you stop posting you will stop trying!!

Patty, Lauri, and Jen: Know that your busy but drop in long enough to say hello.

Mooz: Love to see your post when I sign on first thing in the AM.

I got my hair cut last night, I now have a short, spikie do. I normally wear my hair pretty short but had let it grow for a couple of months. Anyway when I got to the beauty shop we decided to try something very different. I wanted to try a new cut way before the wedding so if I hated it I would be able to have time to grow it back. The front is smooth but the back and sides are kind of spiked out. I've become a RISK taker.

Better run, chat later.
Hugs

Good Afternoon Ladies
Sorry I didn't post yesterday, it was a busy day, by the time I got home, did some laundry, walk the dog, walk on treadmill, I was too tired to log on. My doctor appointment is today with the GI specialist. I don't think i'll get any answers today.
IndyLauri - I"m actually a baseball fan. We have the Texas Ranger here. Living in Big D we have everything. We have pro football, basketball, hockey, baseball, 2 soccer teams, 1 minor hockey & baseball league. So if you a sports fan, there always something going on. I can't believe you got up at 6am, to go bike riding that is great... YOU GO GIRL....

Semo - sounds like you have your hands full this weekend. Luckily i'm going to my mom's but i am bringing the ham... a Honey Baked ham that is, so all i have to do is pick it up... I asked her if anyone asks what to bring, to suggest something low cal for me.

Anne - WAY TO GO on the 2 lb loss... Don't you feel just great when your in control. I know on those days, I feel like I can take on the world. I meant to ask you what is a "Ann Summers" party?

We'll I guess I better get going, since i'm leaving work early today..Is everyone off this friday for Good Friday. I am, so i'm planning on sleeping in late.

talk to you all later

hi y'all!!!
Patty, my mom used to live in the Big D from about 1981 until about a year ago when she retired. She worked at Trammel Crow.
I visited her a few times down there. Went to the State Fair in 1987 and had a blast! She's back in Indiana now.
you ever eat at Rudolfos? (sp) great mexican food. mmm mmm She also took me to a cowboys game and a rangers game. Too fun!!!
Where is Barb?
Semo your hair sounds wonderful! I wish I had the nerve to do something like that. My hair was always short when I was little because it's curly curly and mom hated it. (she still does) now I wear it long because I can.. but it's usually in a french braid or a bun or something.
Hey mooz and jehari!!
Jehari, have you heard from your hubby? How's he doing?
Mooz, again, I love your wonderful sayings and I too enjoy seeing them first thing in the AM.
you all have a wonderful evening and hopefully I can ride again i the AM. I skipped this morning, it's waaaaaaaaaaay windy here today!! Trees were sideways!!
take care
lauri

Good morning girls. You will all be wanting to come to Ireland for you holidays cause guess what - the sun is shining here again this morning.
Semo - I know everyone else probably knows (but I don't ) what is a bridal shower?
Your hairdo sounds great Don't you think as you get older that you get more adventurous and don't really mind what other people think? It's none of their business anyway - it's your life and you do what you want. When you get to our age you realize that life is too short to be living it as a fuddy duddy!

Patty - How did you get on with your specialist today? Hope everything goes OK.
An Ann Summers party is a ladies underwear party. They are a bit naughty but are only a bit of fun. My mother would be shocked though. They start off with a few silly sexy games and then they show the underwear and some gadgets!! - I shall not go into detail here I shall just say that I did not buy any underwear as I did not like any of it and it is expensive and I definately did not buy any gadgets. I just bought some perfume that I thought one of my daughters would like.

Lauri - Hope it is not too windy today for you to go for your bike ride That is a brilliant way to get exercise and also get fresh air as well.

Jen - Are those kids keeping you from sleeping again?
How's your back now?

Barb - Call in when you can.

A man is not finished when he is defeated. He is finished when he quits. - Richard Nixon

Talk to you later

Anne

Good Morning Ladies. My mood is always better when the sun is shinning.

Mooz: A bridal shower is much the same as a wedding shower, sometimes they are more for the bride. "To shower with gifts"

Patty: Hope that you will receive good news from your tests. Why is it that losing weight sometimes aggravates or causes symptoms?

Jen: I was wondering too if you have heard from DH. How long before he finishes boot camp?

Luari: Anyone else riding bikes with you? Would be great if you could pick up a partner or do you enjoy the piece and quite ride by yourself?

Barbie: We're missing ya!

Better get to work..... One day they may find out that this office can run without me.

Here I am!!

Sorry I have been gone so long. I'm not having such a good week! I was just so busy with appointments and running around, then came that TOM, and now I am sick to top it off. I've had a very "if it can go wrong, it will go wrong" kind of week. I could tell you about it, but I just don't think any of you have that kind of time!

Well, the good news is that my back is 100% better now and isn't bugging me a bit.

I usually only hear from my DH once a week. He writes on Sundays and the letter usually gets here Friday, so I hover over my mailbox on Fridays. He has been gone 4 weeks as of today. I miss him SO much. I got the invite to his graduation. It's May 8th, so I have GOT to get back with the program here. After graduation, he's off to AIT for another 12 weeks. We hope to be able to move to where he is sometime in August.

Anyhoo, I am short for time as usual, but I wanted to pop in and let you all know that I didn't fall of the planet or anything.

Talk at ya later,
Jen

Good Evening Ladies
We'll I went to the doctor yesterday, & he thinks It might IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrom) They don't know much about it, or what causes the flareups. It can be very painful, but it is not life threatening. We're thinking it could be stress related. I do have a sonogram scheduled for next week, to see if I have gallstones, but he really thinking it the IBS. I guess for me it's a relief, of knowing i'm not dying(you know how your mind wanders)... Anyway for now he's given me 2 prescriptions that should help, & he said to just continue to do what I normally do. I'm going to look up IBS on the internet & see what I can find.

Semo - I forgot to comment on your hair cut. I admire you. I have always wanted short hair, but i'm too afraid to get it cut. Right now I have brunett hair, with hi-lites & its sits right at my collar. I had always told myself that when I do lose the 40 lbs, that i'm going to get my hair cut that short.

Jen - I know it has to be hard running the household. Hey it's hard for me to run my household and it's just me Hey were here for you, if you need to vent, cry, or just anything. I know it can be hard when your missing your sweetheart...

Anne - I've been to one of those parties. The games were fun & silly. Are the kids coming home for Easter?

Lauri - Be careful when riding your bike, we don't want you to blow away

We'll ladies it's thursday night, i'm going to take it easy, pay some bills, tomorrow is a holiday for me.. so i'm planning on sleeping in late, then cleaning house. I'm wanting to see that new movie "Panic Room" so maybe I can get out and do that.
Talk to you all tomorrow.

Good morming girls.
As usual the sun is shining here today.
I had a 'lie in ' today until 8.30 and I really needed that extra hour and a half in bed.

Patty - I'm sure you are relieved to find out what has been giving you grief. A good friend of mine has IBS and she blames stress and certain foods can set it off also so keep an eye on what you eat.
Isn't it strange that whenever we feel the slightest thing wrong with us we immediately think the worst.

Jen - boy you are having a bad week I'm sure you really miss you hubby when things go wrong but sure it won't be long now till May and you are going to look so good for him

Semo - hows the new hair do fairing? Does the family like it?

Lauri - Wow you do have some energy - riding and skipping - makes me tired just thinking about it.

My two from university will be home at Easter. One is already home and my son should be home today.
It is hard to keep on points when the kids are all home as they are always looking for something to eat and you need to have so much food in the house and I am the one who is sooooooo easily tempted.

Gotta rush off now and get a shower.

Old habits cannot be thrown out the upstairs window. They must be coaxed down the stairs one step at a time. - Mark Twain

Have a good day everyone and I hope to call later.
