Thanks for all your support everyone. Some times I feel I am making excuses but there are days I just have no time for the treadmill and yesterday was one of them.

Jen,
I am not going to camp with Scott but I had to take care of getting all the paperwork in order, make sure he has an updated physical and all his shots are updated, he also needed some clothes and a sash for his patches. Now it is a matter of teaching him how to sew those patches on his sash. I was doing the sewing but the Scout Master told me Scott should be doing that so...

Hello ladies. I hope everyone is doing well.

Hubby walked with me another 2 miles last night. I had to..we had homemade pizzas! I've been doing badly on the eating in the past few days...it's kind of like that towards pay day (I only get paid twice a month). All the veggies and good stuff to eat runs out! :/

Oh well, I going to try to walk another 3-4 miles tonight.

June so far: 5 miles.

Hey all! Put in 3 miles on the track today, so that's 11.5 mi total this month...and 53.5 miles to go. Whoo! I can get my motivation up I may go back out but the weather is still cold and kind of blah so we'll see. At least it isn't raining anymore. Mele, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. It's always so sad to lose someone you care about... But tomorrow it will get a little better and then a little better after that. Keep on walkin ladies!

Jenifer, 100*--- I am so still jealous!

Janine, When you put into print what moms do every day it kind of makes your head spin! Breathe deep and move through to tomorrow. We're here for your venting anytime!

Kristen, What's better than exercise and shopping combined?

Turtle, I'm singing in the rain, just singing in the rain. WTG!

Raeylynn, Great job!

Jen, Great job on the bike. I can't waite for school to be out then time will allow me to ride bike also. Changing up my routine is so important to avoid boredom.

Noelle, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, I'll pray that you receive all the comfort you need at this time.

Michelle, Great job getting you hubby out there with you!

I visited the Wisconsin Dells' area today. A big tourist attraction. We rode the "ducks" the vehicles that were used in WW II that can go on both land and water. They take you through beautiful areas with loads of rock formations created by the glaciers. The kids love when you enter the water fast because they get a little wet! After that we went for a horse drawn wagon ride through " The Lost Canyon" It too was formed by glacier movement and is just beautiful. There were places that the wagon just fit through. What makes all the tours so much fun though is the college kids that conduct them. One pun after another etc. Tricking the kids and stuff. It really was just what my daughter and I needed. A little time when she could lean on me and rest without having to move for one of the younger children. They all so need that alone time with mom. So, no exercise today, but cals. went real good. I packed light and it was a good thing because we stopped for frozen custard on the way home and I was able to have a single scoop peaches and cream without going over. Yummmy! Have a great eve ladies, we're off to piano lessons.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I just lost my long post! Bummer!

Okay, well I am going to make this one short sorry ladies. I didn't get much done today. Was going to call it a free day but I think I will go do a short walk as soon as I get off this. I figure with having a treadmill and exercise bike there really is no excuse for not getting something done.

Anyway, HI to EVERYONE! I hope you all had a wonderful day today and hope you have even a better day tomorrow.

I will edit this post and enter my walk later this evening or in the morning. Depends on if I can get on the computer later or not.

P.S. I did end up doing a little over 2.5 miles, yippee! Today wasn't a total waste afterall.

June Goal~75 miles
Miles 6/03/03~2.68 miles
Miles 6/04/03~2.58
Total Miles 6/03~11.26 miles
Miles to go~63.74 miles

hello there ladies!

how is everyone this fine evening/morning? i hope that you are all doing well! i woke up with sore quads this morning. they lasted throughout the day. i was going to forego any sort of walking... and do sit ups or something... but i decided to pop in one of my walking tapes and did 2 miles! how's that for dedication?

i was in a real bummer of a mood today. work, the weather... everything just got me down. so the least that i could do was try to walk at least a little. release some endorphins or something. so i did. i hate when i hit a day like i did today. it sucks. but whatever. i have to think of everything that makes me happy. being healthy. exercising. eating right. you fine june babes don't think that i forgot about you guys!

anyway, i think that i am going to head off to bed right now. or something. i can't stare at this computer screen anymore!

night night!

Good evening ladies. I had my 3rd day OP, got my 3.5 miles walk in today and I'm feeling pleasantly relaxed and calm. Believe me, that's a big change. I'm usually uptight and grumpy . It's really weird how a little exercise can clear your head and make you feel so energized, even when you're just sitting still. I used to be so sedentary that after eating dinner I would just give my son a bath then have a shower myself, then go to bed--I was so tired at the end of each day, and usually made myself go to bed by 8:30 pm. Now, I can stay up for hours! In fact, I'm usually hitting the sack between 10:30 and 11:00 pm and at that time I have to force myself to go to bed. Why can't I remember this feeling when I'm on the verge of putting something really fattening into my mouth?

Anyway just a few things....
*Jenifer, good job on exercising! Hope you had a great day.
*Kristen, kudos to you for sucking it up and exercising anyway despite the pain...you're doing awesome.
*Cristi, no day is a waste as long as you're alive...think about it
*Kristi, I was just telling my dad how we should all go and do the "Duck Tours" here in Hawaii. I think they have 3 different routes that show different parts of the island. Your field trip sounded like so much fun, and time spent one-on-one w/your child, that's extra special. I'd love to visit the place you just described. --Do you take piano lessons too? I play a little myself, but only took lessons for 4.5 years when I was very young. I just play to entertain myself, I'm not Liberace or anything . Thanks for your sympathies about my friend, it helped a lot.
*Turtle you sound like you're well on your way to goal. Hope your weather improves there so you can enjoy your time outside. Thanks for the consolation about my friend too, I appreciate it.
*Michelle, you're lucky your hubby walks w/you. I have to beg mine to come along and then it's only about once a month that he'll go. He works long hours since he's self-employed...oh well, he helps me in other ways.
*Janine, good luck on teaching your boy how to sew. I think that'll serve him well in the future. Get this, my hubby can handstitch neater and faster than I can--so I let him
*Jen you must be busy getting ready for your trip. Hope things have smoothed out a little for you folks and your planning. I'd love to get away and drive across a couple of states...can't do that here.
*Raelyn, I forgot to mention yesterday that you helped out a wonderful cause, the Walk for Diabetes. My BIL was a co-chair for the walk here for a couple of years in a row. I missed the one this year though.
*Lynne how was your day?

Well, I gotta stop here and catch up w/some other gals...have a good night all!

Hi all!

I am glad to say I've had VERY positive results from my weekly weigh in. Firstly, I have lost another kilo! and on top of that, my measurements have shown great losses all over the bod, which has really boosted my motivation and confidence that this IS working and I WILL get to goal.

I went for a 45 minute walk, and have eaten well. Still learning about the pitfalls of not being careful in my planning of food - made myself some cheese herb grills, but made too many, forgetting that it would amount to too many points. But have learned my lesson, and won't do that again. Really cross with myself, because I'd made a promise that I won't go over points this week, so wasn't a very good start, but what I went over, I made up for with my walk, so I did break even. Tomorrow, I'll be more careful!!!

Also discovered that I'm not drinking enough water, which is wierd for me, cos normally I go through heaps, but it's cos I'm at home, and don't have a glass permanently at my elbow like I do when I'm working at a desk.... So my other challenge this week is to make sure I drink enough....

I'm joining Josh's class on an excursion into the city to go to the museum tomorrow. One of the joys of being at home is that I can be more involved with Josh's activities. I'm also planning on helping out in the canteen, and last night I took Josh to Joey Scouts, and got pulled in to help there! Marc doesn't drive yet, which is why he ends up staying home looking after Bec while I'm out driving Josh about. Gets annoying sometimes, but until we can afford for Marc to get lessons, I'm the chauffeur of the family!

See ya tomorrow!

Cristi, Great job on the 2.5 miles. When I say a day is a freebie I rarely change my mind and then go to bed thinking why didn't I at least do something. Good for you!

Kristen, Yeah for you! You made a great choice to exercise when you were down in the dumps. It usually helps plus anythings better than wallowing in the blues. YGG! Hope your feeling better today.

Jenifer, June's looking great for you, keep up the good work!

Noelle, You sound so energized your 'gizing me girl! My oldest daughter is the only one taking lessons at this point. I would like to also, but the cost is holding me back at this time. Not that it's overly expensive, but being a stay at home mom I really feel the need to justify expenditures on myself. Until I read your post to Jen I was thinking how totally awesome it must be to live in HI, but I now realize it's pretty great living in the states too. A 14 hr. drive at almost any time of year takes you to a different climate. Makes want to head out on the road right now!!

Lynne, It sounds like you're really on top of things to not only make your goal, but to keep these changes for life. WTG! Just curios, at what age do most people start to drive in Australia? Here ib the US you can obtain a license at age 16 and in our area few teens make it to 17 without getting theirs!!

Went to school today to see 9 yr. old and 7 yr. old in a talent show. They do one on this day every year and then they have a picnic lunch outside, because tomorrow they have only 2.5 hrs. of school. DH was actually able to get away from work and come along. I'm so happy school is out, but I know in about 5 weeks I'll be on here saying how I can't waite for school to start!!! Right now I miss spending leisurely days with them. We even opted out of swimmimg lessons the past 2 summers. They all swim just as weel if not better than the kids who take lessons so why bother? One less place we have to be on time to! Leaving now for the park with my 3 yr. old. That'll give me 2 miles for the day. I won't post until I've done them though. Have a great day all.

Kristi

Hi all you fabulous June Babes!

Okay, today was a total free day from exercise. For real this time! I had a lot of running around to do so by the time I got home I just said heck with it. And I won't be doing any tonight like I did last night. You know though it did feel pretty good doing a walk last night after I said I was taking a free day. I was walking last night when hubby got home from work and said something about it being very hot in the corner (entry way) where the treadmill is and guess what he did today? He went and bought a fan to put in front of the treadmill so I wouldn't get so hot, ahh. I thought that was so sweet. It gets really in that corner even with the air and ceiling fan going.

Lynne, WTG on your loss! You are doing so good. I don't know what I would do if my hubby didn't drive. My dd is 19 and doesn't drive. She has a permit but has no desire to drive at all. I have a niece and a friend who don't drive either. My niece is scared to death to drive and my friend wants to but is waiting for her hubby to teach her. I honestly don't think he wants her to drive so that he has more control over her. Well, hope you and Josh have a GREAT time at the museum tomorrow.

Kristen, WTG! I to was feeling the same yesterday but ended up doing a walk afterall and it felt good.

Well, I am getting off this thing. I shouldn't be on in the first place with the storm we are having.

To everyone else, Kristi, Noelle, Jenifer, Jen, Raelyn, and anyone else I may have missed hope you all had a good day and hope everyone has a better tomorrow!

Cristi, How thoughtful of your hubby. It always feel good to know you have support.

Jenifer, Great job on your exercise again, hopefully you'll find time over the weekend for a little extra shuteye!!

Turtle, You're doing awesome!

As for me was able to do another 2 miles at 8pm last night and at 8am this morning. Last nights walk was awesome. Going just at dusk like that I was treated to seeing 8 deer even one buck which are much harder to spot. Most of them were within 50 ft. of the bike trail (which runs right through corn fields) and 2 were actually on the trail and stayed there until I was right up on them. My dog is a terrier mix of some kind (looks like a small sheep dog or a big "Benjie") and has no desire to run. He just looks at them like he too is admiring them. Good thing since I walk him with no leash being so rural. This morning my 3 yr. old tagged along in the "radio flyer" and we were blessed with many bunny sightings plus we got back to the house just as it started to rain. I'm glad I got extra in, because the kids are all done with school at 10:30 this morning and then were all going shopping and I just know I'll be tempted going out for lunch.

Have a great weekend all!

Kristi
