Hi ladies, it's me the posting slacker...sorry I've been absent here on the thread but I've been in a little blue funk which I haven't been able to shake. I've been doing great on my walking which really helps to clear my head. Eating's so-so but today I had a great OP day. I'm looking to get back into my groove and stay there until I lose some weight. Right now I think I should be concentrating on maintaining and not gaining. I haven't had time to read all the previous posts but I'm glad you gals are keeping up with the thread. I think about you guys while I'm walking and am thankful to have you all here--sorry to be neglecting y'all. I think I'm using you as a cyber-shoulder to lean on for the time being. Thanks for your concern about my well-being Kristi, Jenifer and all the others .
Jenifer, you asked about my elliptical? While you're enjoying yours, I've been neglecting mine . I do need to get back on it though. I've used it when I wasn't able to walk outside but walking's just easier . I know I should challenge myself and get some different muscles working...it's just a matter of doing it.

Kristen, I do know what you mean. A while back (a few years ago) I was so lazy I quit fixing myself up and I find that wearing a little bit of makeup, fixing my hair and wearing something I really like does make me feel better about myself, makes me feel pretty. WTG on walking 4 miles! Okay, I have to say this, are you sure it's the guys calves you are looking at? The made me do it! And no it's not dorky.

Noelle, don't worry about it. We will be here for you when you feel up to posting. It is understandable being in a funk considering you lost a dear friend. It is going to take a while to fully realize the true impact losing someone has on you. It's good you are keeping up with your walking because as you said it clears your mind and that is always a good thing.
As for me, today is apparently going to be my free day rather than Sunday. I had too much going on today and this evening isn't going to be much better so I haven't gotten in my walk for the day. It doesn't look like I will either. I may try for a mile or 1.5 miles this evening but it is going to be late. So I will leave my miles for today open till later. I had to be out and about and had lunch at Taco Bell. I decided to try one of those Chicken Enchilada Bowls thinking it can't be that many points or calories. WRONG! I got home and looked Taco Bell's web site just to see. YIKES!! They have 790 calories with 39 grams of fat! I don't even want to know what the points would be, probably off the scale! I will NEVER get one of those again. Definintely stick with the chicken soft taco.

Cristi I start ToM sometime next week and I am not sure if that will affect my weigh in tomorrow. I just feel better and I know that is all that matters for now. I have to still admit I would love it if that scale showed a loss. Yeah I will only eat the Tacos at Taco Bell when I go on a NO free day. Tomorrow after weigh in a splurge.

Well nothing really planned for the weekend except preparing for a camping trip next weekend. I can't wait it has been a while since we went camping. Have a wonderful weekend! Think I will get some yard work done though.

big smiles for me today! i just got back from weigh in... and ANOTHER 3.8 pounds gone! down 27.6 now! i got my 25 pound magnet. go me! i'm so thrilled. and very surprised, because i only walked/exercised 4 times this week. when generally i do about 6. oh well. apparently i made up for it in the eating. those veggies really do help out! and water!!
i didn't get to walk yesterday. it was miserable out, plus i attended a party. one of the girls that i haven't seen in a year or two said that i was looking fantastic and was "glowing" wheni walked in!!! hopefully today i can get a walk in. i've gotten bad sleep the past couple days. i feel like i need to rest a little bit more. we'll see though. i'll have to post later.

Well I did the elliptical for 20 minutes last night and plan to do yard work today and then do some type of workout tonight. Walk or elliptical I'm not sure?

I am hoping to see a loss Monday but with TOM not so sure. I haven't gotten any exercise in yet. I had planned on doing a walk this morning but having given in to some of the cravings this week my stomach and back are killing me, that's what happens when I eat crap the week before. I am going to take some tylenol that usually helps and then get on that treadmill. I don't think it will be a long walk today though but I suppose a short walk is better than nothing at all.

Hey ladies. Good job on all your losses!!! You know who you are . I'm heading out the door to do some last minute shopping for Father's Day--didn't get anything for hubby yet (bad me! ) . I got a great morning walk in this morning all by my lonesome--clocked 4 miles in just over and hour and a half. A bit slow for me but I was checking out all the beautiful golf course homes that are available on the market. Since the mortgage interest rates are at an all-time low, a lot of houses are up for sale--sellers are asking big bucks though. The house I looked at was just a hair under $585K . I don't have that kind of dough but I like to fantasize that one day I'll have a beautiful home like that of my own. Well ladies, take care of your dads and DH's tomorrow. Have a great weekend.

Just got back tonight from doing my 2.5 miles route. I just feel so good and look foward to walking or any kind of activity. Amazing huh? I am getting a little nervous b/c I start class tomorrow night (Mon. & Wed.) 6:30-9:30. Guess I'm afraid I'm not going to get enough exercise in. I am going to try my hardest to get it in though. I'm sure you ladies will all help me anyways! Well I might not be on as much but I will keep you all updated on my walking! Have a great week!

I'm writing this off line, as I don't have time to read everyone's posts tonight. I'm hoping I'll have a bit of free time tomorrow to sit down and catch up.
The last few days have been awful. I won't go into details, but had some problems on the home front, that knocked me for a six. I totally lost all energy and motivation, and didn't have any energy to worry about eating well or exercising. I feel like crap now because of it, and need to do some major detoxification!!!
I'm sure I've gained weight, which totally sucks, but gotta take the consequences! It goes to show that the urge to binge in times of stress is still with me. I did concede to my program and stuck to diet coke, but the rest of my choices were pretty bad. Although Marc has just pointed out that my binge this time was nothing compared to how I would've binged 2 years ago. I didn't do a big continuous binge, just didn't choose well when I had a meal. So I guess it could've been worse!
I'm going to crash now, as my body is still trying to recover from the stress, but hopefully a good night's sleep will find me refreshed and ready to repair the damage and move on,….
I've been thinking of you all, and wondering how you are. It's nice to know that you're all here for me when I'm ready to get back on the wagon! Thanks for being such good friends!

Jenifer, Thanks for the big huggies it really helps! WHat kind of bike and what kind of track does your hubby ride? As for free days I always do something really high cal. NO nutrition after a loss. Dumb maybe, but...... this past week after my 2# loss I had a white chocolate and carmel cappacino. Bad I know, but oh so yummy.I see you're down another 2.4 # WTG. I knew that elliptical was really going to tip the scales for you. You've worked so hard. Excellent!! I hope your class was great. What are you studying again?
Kristen, Being a stay at home mom I totally relate with the clothes thing. Most days I schlep around in jeans and t-shirts w/no makeup. So whaen I dod od myself up I just feel awesome and then wonder why I don't do this more often. Aren't I worth it? Woohoo I see you're way down. Great job! Just keep chasing those calves.

Lynne, Sweet lady, I hate to hear you sound so sad. Bingeing when stressed is a hard thing to fight. I lose the battle often. Don't beat yourself up. Forgive yourself and step forward again. You've been doing terrific. We're here for you whether you on program or off. A big hug your way.
As for me, I lived SAt. and Sun. both like I never heard of a program before. SAt. an old friend got married and I had 4 drinkie poos and gave up no food for them and yesterday first I went to bakesale benefit for a young man who had a bad car accident. We bought 3 pies and 3 plates of cookies. I had a piece of each pie with ice cream and 2 cookies. To top it all off I haVEN'T EXERCISED SINCE sAT. Foods been good again today so I'm moving on. Besides both were good occasions and I don't live under a rock!! Had a great time on daddy's day. We took the kids to a little museum where the rooms were set up like a general store, a parlor, a music room etc... even though everything was 100 to 200 yrs. old there was something in almost every room the gude le t the kids play with. After that we toured an old lead mine. The children actually loved it!! They got to wear hard hats and be WAY underground and to top it off they got to ride a real train that was used inside the mine. I was so glad. These were things my husband wanted to do, but as anyone with children knows guided tours can be boring to little ones. I was so afraid one would mealt down, but they were all (even the 3 yr. old) really well behaved. So, I'm glad I didn't have to weigh in today, but I had a great weekend and tomorrow I will walk or bike or both, who knows? Have a great wek all.

how are all you babes? i'm doing pretty well. this weekend was a pretty good one for me. i got to see a bunch of people that i haven't seen in a while. and that is always nice... ya know?
but anyway... before i forget, i wanted to post my miles. i feel like i don't have a lot of time to make notes to everyone anymore. i feel bad. i promise to be better about it very, very soon. saturday i walked to and from a square that we have here in my city. it's about 1.5 miles away... so i did a good 3 miles! and then sunday... was beautiful... and i walked around the lake in wakefield. for another 3 miles. and tonight... i pushed myself to do 4 miles around the tufts track. no good calves tonight. but 4 miles is pretty damn good anyway! i really need to buy some new sneaks... i can feel them wearing away when i walk. it's time for a new pair. i owe it to myself... as a 25 pound present!

Hi everyone! How are all the BaBeS? My day was like this: wake up at 5:45 get to work at 7:30, get home 5:00 eat a healthy dinner and then school at 6:30-9:30 and got home a little before 10 did the elliptical for 20 minutes then shower and here I am 10:45! Not sure how much I'll be able to get out and walk but we'll have to see??? I want to make sure I get something in and still eat healthy with my crazy schedule on Monday and Wed.
Kristi my dh has a Suzuki GSXR1000 and he just does track days on the race track for fun. Glad things are going good for you with the kids and stuff! Oh the class is just a basic math class for summer school. I just need to get some type of degree not sure what yet just working on general education.

Kristen, congratulations again on your 25 lb loss--don't think I said "welcome to one-derland" . You're doing so well. Good sneakers are a must if you're to keep up with the walking. I really like my New Balance shoes, just my 2 cents.
Jenifer, you're such a busy gal--and you still make time for exercise. That's excellent. Little blocks of time over the course of the day add up--plus walking around to your classes are sure to burn some calories. You go girl.
