Whatever your method of exercise is, let's keep each other accountable!

I have been waiting until the start of the month to jump in. Thought I would start April's thread, hope you don't mind.

I will post later, the plan is to get on the treadmill during Biggest Loser.

Not the workout I wanted or the intensity but I got meds from the doctor today and that should take care of my sinus problem. Hoping for a much better day tomorrow.

jamsk8r 04-02-2008 12:40 AM

Did the FBWO, jogged 10 mins before, then 30 mins after. Beginning to regret putting weights on the same days as running, lol.

Sorry you aren't feeling better. I hope you feel better as the day goes on. I don't have a busy day lol. I hardly ever have a busy day.

Jam
Sounds like you are doing terrific.

Back on track
Sinus can really mess things up. Hope you feel better soon

I have lost my notebook that had all my dumbbell exercises listed in it. Oh this is driving me crazy I can only remember half of them which knocks my time down from 40 min to 20 min. Someone had a link on this site that listed a really great upper body workout with dumbbells. Does anyone happen to know the link? Some of those exercises were part of the ones I can't remember. You would think I would remember them since I do them a couple of times a week but I don't lol. I always had to look at my list to make sure I did them all.

Today

20 Min dumbbell workout

Walk Away The Pounds With Leslie Sansone For The Abs 10 Minutes Ab Buster ( 20 Min )

Walk At Home With Leslie Sansone 5 Mile Advanced ( 71 Min )

I tried that once..it lasted all of one week! it was way too much for me! now on running days thats it! running only, weights on days off or running. i can do other cardio (bike or elliptical) with weights but not the running!

Back on Track 04-02-2008 11:50 AM

Man, I feel good! A good nights rest, meds must have kicked in a little and I got 50 min. of cardio in this morning. Not quite the intensity I would have liked, but not bad.

Getting things back in order after being sick or having a lot of pain can take time. Nice going on how you are doing.

You are going to be doing the GOAL dance in no time at all.

Shy, you might ask on the weight lifting forum...??? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the workout you mean, so can't help. Hope you do find it soon!

KatieK 04-03-2008 11:42 AM

Yesterday was my day off.
Today 90 min LBWL and Abs.
20 min Yoga.

Back on Track 04-03-2008 02:27 PM

Can I just say WOW! You guys are amazing me, you are really working it!

KatieK
What is LBWL?

Shy moment
Thanks for all the encouragement! I want to make my Memorial Day goal so bad, I have to remember not to overdo it while I am on the mend!

I spent 3 hours washing wood floors, vaccuming and dusting my house this morning and now I have to do the upstairs yet. This may be the extent of exercise I get today unless I can squeek something in later tonight after meetings at kids school.

mandalinn82 04-03-2008 03:13 PM

I'm guessing KatieK meant Lower Body Weight Lifting.

Welcome to the accountability group!

So far:
20 min walk to grocery store and back (and back, I was carrying two bags of cat food! Ooof, I was loaded up like a sherpa).

60 min total body strength (trying to get back into a 2x a week habit, I'd been at 1x per week too long).

Planned:

50 min elliptical

Shy Moment 04-03-2008 03:28 PM

KatieK 04-03-2008 04:08 PM

Mandalinn yes you guessed right.
LBWL is lower body weight lifting.
I'm too tired by the end of it to spell it all out!!:D

mandalinn82 04-03-2008 05:05 PM

50 on the elliptical - done!

BlzMaxGnrCCJkMly 04-03-2008 10:28 PM

:bike2: 30min bike :lifter: 20min weights :running: 30min walk :trampo: 20min elliptical

jamsk8r 04-03-2008 10:46 PM

Today, I tried running at lunch time (only 3 miles today, my sister came along to walk, but her knee was gimpy, and she seemed bored watching me go round the track), and FBWO (full body workout) with weights a few hours later. That seemed to work better than doing the weight lifting first. We'll see how I feel tomorrow, but I'm hoping that I'm past the beginner "fatigue" stage with the weight lifting.

Dea, congrats on starting the C25K! That's how I got into running and I love it! The skating I do is just for fun/fitness, mainly jam skating, which is a recreational style of dancing on skates.

Lots2go, welcome to the thread! Looks like you're doing great! I do 15 crunches every morning, before I climb out of bed. (only way I remember)

Shy Moment 04-03-2008 11:05 PM

jam
Darn you are doing great on the exercise front 3 miles of running how terrific.
