Shy Moment 04-18-2008 02:07 PM

Been a slow week for me. I am getting at least 6 miles in a day but darn my knees are stiff. Looks like everyone is doing pretty well this week.

Still
Maybe there is something going around this week. I swear it seems as much work for me to do the 2 mile videos as it did for me to do the 5 mile videos. Just stiff and tired for some reason.

Diva
Pooped is good, feeling good is good, not working out is bad lol.

Vates
I can't imagine what all you do during that 60 min class. Sounds like a lot of work, nice going.

Tried the Crossfit WOD today:
3 rounds of..
Run 1/2 mile
50 back extensions
50 glute-ham sit-ups

Round 1: ran 1/2 mile, 25 BE, 25 GH Sit-ups
Round 2: ran 1/2 mile, 25 BE, 25 GH Sit-ups
Round 3: ran 1/2 mile, 50 BE, 50 GH Sit-ups

Used an exercise ball for the extensions and sit-ups. Finishing up the last 20 or so sit-ups on round 3, I was pretty sure I was gonna puke. Made it through in 37:40 (minutes), laid on the floor until the world stopped spinning, then walked it out for a cool-down. Overall, a killer workout and fun to do, except for the last bit, lol. I have skating tonight, if the crazy weather doesn't shut me down (was snowing a minute ago...???!).

Den@ 04-18-2008 07:18 PM

Long Run (for me, anyway) - 5 miles, 1 hour

Diva 04-19-2008 05:06 PM

Well I thought I had already added this today but I guess I had another blond moment...it happens.

It was rather humid today and I struggled, but I got my hour (3 Miles) in on the TM. I swear yesterday I flew through it and ran more than I ever have and it seemed so easy, but today was hard...Oh well.

Amanda, I tried doing your elliptical again.....I lasted all of 5 minutes and my legs were screaming at me. I don't know how you do it girl.

Heffalump 04-19-2008 06:07 PM

Hi back at you, Dena!

Notice the absence of my Saturday exercise report... Friday, after doing the slightly scaled-down Crossfit WOD, I thought, "hey, that wasn't so bad!" Bwahahahaha. Whatever! Saturday, my abs felt like they'd been put through a meat grinder! I kept thinking, "it'll get better, and then I can do my lifting and running." Yeah, right, I was lucky to be able to walk upright for most of the day, lol. At 9:30pm I took my sorry butt straight to bed.

This morning, I can still feel it, but figure I'd better do something. Sunday night skating has been pretty lame the last two weeks...they switched DJs at the rink, and the replacement is about 12 years old ;) and thinks "old school" music is anything from the early nineties. Shudder...can't dance to that. I might just clear a spot in the kitchen and practice there, or make up my lifting and running workouts instead...not sure yet.

Walk At Home With Leslie Sansone 5 Mile Advanced Walk ( 71 Min )

jamsk8r 04-21-2008 01:35 AM

Sunday night:

1) Did the Crossfit Warm-up:
misc moving/stretching, then
10 OH squats (no weight)
10 GH Sit-ups
10 Back Extensions
10 Push-ups (subbed for pull-ups)
10 Dips (bench dips, I guess..modified for the weak, lol)

2) Did my normal lifting FBWO

I like the CF warm-up, and think I will do that on my lifting days, at least.

Heffalump, I had no idea there were such things as "easy yoga poses". I'm pretty sure any kind of yoga would kick my inflexible behind. ;)

Shy Moment 04-21-2008 02:32 AM

Sorry I haven't been around much. Wanted to tell everyone you are doing great.

StillTryin 04-21-2008 09:28 AM

I walked at a very brisk pace for an hour yesterday, plus I walked around shopping while I waited for a movie to start (I had like 2 hours to kill). So it was a little.

I didn't make it to the gym today yet I was so tired this morning, we had a light hail storm last night that kept me up! grrr.

Haa! :D

Seeing that I'm probably doing them all wrong because I only started this stuff a week ago... I probably shouldn't use that adjective either...

And speaking of - I just got my own inflexible behind kicked in 60 min. hatha yoga class. Hurts so good, though!

How's your soreness? Better I guess, since it doesn't seem to have put you off the Crossfit, heh...

nylisa 04-21-2008 02:47 PM
