ROSEY . . . this is my field . . . however, in Canada, not the US. . . Here is how I think it should work (at least it would, if you were working with a Canadian provincial medicare system).

Submit the bills to the first payer (Aetna) -- but be sure to keep copies, just in case you don't get the originals back (and you probably won't) -- then after you receive the partial payment from Aetna, submit a copy of their cheque and payment detail forms, along with those photocopies of the bills, to the second payer (Medicare).

It can take a long time to get it all sorted out. Is there any specialist at your DH's old employer who you can talk to who will intervene on your behalf. When I was working (I was the Pension and Benefits Manager for a very large company) I had a person at each of our locations who spent most of their whole day trying to help employees and retirees deal with the government and the insurance company 'foibles'.

Good luck.

dang it, I had a nice long post then went and hit back button on the mouse. (it's on the side of the mouse)

Anyways this was my post:
Today=chilly and drizzly... I want the warm weather back. I did 4 miles in 1hr 7 minutes while DS was at school so I beat the weather on that one

tomorrow=contest weigh in. This morning at home I was 253.5. I've lost 11lbs from my original weight (264.5) OR 4 lbs from the weight after I was sick
(257.5)The scale at work sucks and weighs everyone wrong, I've even tried weighing at home and then right away at work..always different from as little as 3 to as much as 7lbs)

BGL=very good so far but around 120's when I have to get up early(4am). If I sleep in, they are closer to 100

Hope everyone is doing well and having a great week.

Missi

Yep . . . we are definitely 'sweet' people . . . have any of you noticed (and I'm not kidding) how much the mosquitoes love us as compared to people with normal sugar situations. If you want to keep the bugs away from everybody else, be sure to invite a diabetic to your next barbeque . . .

Morning! Bg was 137 this morning...an improvement over yesterday's spike of 185! I am still sporting this cold, but it seems a little better today. I took some Tussin CF, a store brand Robitussin CF. It says on the bottle not to take it unless you talk to your doctor if you have thyroid issues, or are diabetic. I took it anyway. The relief from the congestion was heavenly. I actually was able to sleep some after it kicked in.

I was contemplating going to the gym today, as I felt pretty good when I woke up, but I am going down hill rather quickly. I think a nap is in order! I passed on my trip to the mountains to work. I may go work in the garagio. I have a lot of kids' pots to glaze.

It is raining...so needed around here...and cool. A perfect morning for a nap!

Thanks for the info meowee.
My sugar was 215 last night and 315 this morning.
Went to c-pap doc and getting new equiptment.
Told me to get med for sinus infection by my reg. GP next week.
Hope this will help w/morning numbers.
I just want to have 3 starchs. I'm trying 5 small meals today so there's a few hours between. I didn't like eating big meals 3 times a day. I'm a grazer.
Trying to stick to complex carbs in evening. I like the GI and heard a few tips for lowering starchs-ex: a Tablespoon of vinegar on french fries lowers the GI of the fries. I always heard have a protein w/a carb.
I'm calling the co today to order the new machine after I check the ins. to make sure they are still listed.
Here's to a better day. Have to take a water pill-worked on book and legs swelled up from sitting too long.
Have a great day!

Morning Folks,
Meowee: yeah..i just had some bug go all big mac attack on my legs last nite lol. hope it enjoyed it I realized something when i weighed myself this morning and saw i was up 3lbs! T.O.M is in a couple of days, so that explains why im going in the wrong direction. well at least thats what im going to stick to until after lol. I chickened out on my work out last nite, i was just tired and didn't feel like having billy blanks yell at me to push it but today i shall sweat it out and even take the 2mile walk home from bart instead of a bus. i think i need to keep a food journal as well.. some where im getting extra cal. its not in the work day, i think its the snacking after work at home. but i shall see. here's a question for all ya great gals. Have u ever felt like u were getting smaller, you know feel more tone and slim, then get on the scale and see just the opposite? lol. thats been me the last week. i feel like something is slimming out, then get on the scale and have it call me a liar, which becomes a bit depressing to say the least. hope everyone is having a good morning. San Francisco is looking lovely today..sunny and not to cold for a change. ok..i'll check in later.. take care and all that jazz

Just flying past and quickly saying HI EVERYBODY Got tangled up with some spring cleaning and furniture rearranging this morning and you know how that can some times expand to fill the day . . . I'm exhausted.

In the middle of it all I got a call from the office asking for some help with some more retirement packages and, of course, they have to be done for tomorrow. Can't face those files right now so I guess that is my morning taken tomorrow and then I have errands to do because of the surgery on Monday. So I probably won't be around much tomorrow either.

Have a great moving and shaking evening, gang . . . I will see you sometime tomorrow . . .
