Holly: Let me start by saying CONGRATULATIONS on your MIRACLE that the r@t b@st@rd gave you a $1/hour raise!!! What has gotten into him?!? Dare I say he MIGHT have a h...h...heart? Oh my gosh, we are SO mean about that man! I sure hope he deserves it!

I was SO happy to read that you are feeling GOOD, despite it being winter and being off depression meds for about 7 months now! So very happy for you, Holly!!! You deserve to feel good all the time!!!

I love your positive attitude and all of the examples you gave for turning negative thoughts into positive ones! You inspire me to count my blessings!

What in the heck is the deal with your "normal" work Saturdays being 11 hours long?!? Did I read that right??? That's crazy! You better be raking in the BIG bucks!!!

Haha... I love your picture of the snow you "sent" to Lisa! But even better was the description of Eddie the dog digging in the snow and having a snow covered face. You have to send us a picture next time! How adorable!!! Please don't send any of that snow my way!

Last, but not least, CONGRATULATIONS on maintaining at 144.5 pounds... your lowest weight in years!!! (That deserves the broccoli dancer!) I notice that you are actually half a pound BELOW your listed goal weight! That is SO AWESOME!!!

Holly, thank you so much for keeping the group moving (along with Lisa), as always, and for all of the time, effort, and thoughtfulness you put into your posts! I really appreciate your constant presence here.

Monica: It sounds like volunteering to do the Box Tops for Education at the library is keeping you very busy! My daughter volunteered to do those for her school awhile back and I helped. It is a tedious job! Good for you for doing it, though. And, as you said, it is keeping you busy. That's good!

My family is doing well for the moment. My son has balanced out and is doing better for the most part most days. He is applying himself in school much more this semester and is having much more success, which really helps his confidence. My daughter is trying to decide whether or not to live on campus at a local college next year. She is handicapped and walks with a walker, so it is a pretty big decision for her. We meet with their disabilities director in March, which should help us to better know her options. Hubby and I are getting along well at the moment. As I always say, I am trying to take ONE day at a time. That's about all I can handle! It's easier said than done, though. I already have a lot of anxiety about my daughter going to college next year (mainly due to her disability issues). Time for me to go back to counseling for a refresher, I think. Thanks for asking and always being concerned about my family. I truly appreciate it.

I SO admire your dedication to exercise! You are truly an inspiration to me and to all of us! It is no doubt what is keeping you off meds and healthy. That's wonderful!

I read where you had tons of snow and then pouring rain on the Cape. How is your weather currently? If we can just hang on another month or so, I do believe that Spring is just around the corner!!!

Life always somehow happens and I get sidetracked for awhile! Along with our normally busy lives, my mom (who is very active but will be 84 in April) had some recent heart scares and trips to the ER over the past month. She ended up having to have a stent put in during a heart catheterization procedure about 3 weeks ago. There was 85% blockage in one of her arteries. Thank God she got in to the cardiologist in time and was taken care of before anything more serious happened!

I have finally begun to work out again! I'm still not as consistent as I want to be (but getting there) and I want to gradually increase the number of days I work out each week while maintaining consistency. But at least I've peeled myself out of my recliner in the evenings (that's my preferred workout time) and hopped on the treadmill or the elliptical. I carry small weights when I walk on the treadmill. (I'm not a runner.) I always feel so good afterward. I need to remember that feeling as motivation to get started the next time. My eating has remained pretty good for the most part. In general, I don't get as hungry as I used to, which has been a pleasant change for me. Don't get me wrong, I still have my craving moments, but I have somehow managed to keep my hunger under control for several months now. I think it is my focus on only eating when I am really and truly only physically hungry. That has been key for me. I have managed to shed the 5 pounds I put on over Christmas. Now, to keep up with consistent exercise and healthy eating for an extended period of time..... always the challenge, right?

Hello to everyone and a big to our new group members! It's great to see some new faces around here! Lisa and Holly, thank you so much for keeping the group moving along, as always!!!
Hello There!! I too have not been here very much. That thing called life takes up a lot of time - LOL!!! I'm sorry to hear about your mom's health issues. Is she recovering well?

Awesome about working out again! I really need to get back to the gym, myself!

Hope all is well, my friend Glad to see you!

Looking forward to it!

I went to a dinner party at a friend’s house tonight. This morning she told me she had some late cancellations and suggested I bring someone along. I wasn’t sure who else was attending and worried that maybe she meant it was all couples? Anyway I invited a friend and so that worked out ok for the most part. And it was not a couples dinner.

I ate too much bread, but overall ok.

Have to be up early tomorrow- I WILL make it to my double workout class!

Hi Holly-
I don’t know how to explain the (now ex) bf, it’s complicated. But he is out of state now and from the message I received I cannot tell if he’s living his last days there or in rehab. He has alcohol issues and his liver is kaput.

I'm also doing PT on my back and legs. I'm worn oUT. Srsly worn out. Today was my 4th visit.

I'm stealing someone's Internet right now.

Things will get a lot better. My new mobile home rent is $175 cheaper than what I was paying at the apartment.

Miss you all.

Scale dropped .4 lbs this morning, finally after displaying the same number for a week.
I have been irritable and anxious. I have avoided most social outings lately which has helped but some I have felt corned into and then I regretted it.

But looking forward I am planning to concentrate on me. I am going to do my best to relax and cope with things at the moment and not be around people that bug me.
Unless it’s a family thing, I should be able to avoid some of this.

I’m really hoping as a mini goal to do well for rest of February for wt loss but as I have been losing slowly I don’t know what realistically the numbers will be end of month. That’s 8 days, so only 1 wk.
Maybe I should estimate 1 lb.

Good morning everyone

So today is my last day at my current job. I saw my last client yesterday evening I'm feeling such a mix of emotions. I've been at this job for the better part of 10 years. I know my coworkers well. I am very familiar with the campus, how things run, etc. I did well in my counseling position, and although I didn't much care for the hap hazard hours, I managed to create a routine around them. I cleared out the last of my office this a.m., and it look so... bare... and very not-like me. It looks generic, not very warm and inviting. I admit, I'm feeling sad. Although, I'm sure my sadness will be replaced with more excitement for this upcoming opportunity and journey ahead

They are throwing me a going away party today. Very sweet. Being that we all have lunch at different hours, I am hoping I get to see my "core" group.

I begin my new job on Mon Feb 26th. Ahh, the anxiety of training, orientation, familiarizing myself with how to do the job, and getting into a groove with it, and creating a routine that allows for personal time (to maintain my sanity) all seems quite daunting, tbh.

So that' where I'm at today.

I hope everyone is doing well, and I'll be back soon to check in.

Have a fantastic day everyone
