Im so glad someone posted how to change the tickers without having to completely redo them lol .. I have been redoing mine and its rather annoying having to do that each week lol .. so big thankies.
Okee .. well this week has been going well so far. Im on Jenny Craig for the next few months .. at least lol ... Im hoping to just get myself taught about the right eating really. I havent done so well on my exercise .. but I have been on the Fitness Flyer each day (even tho its only for about 5 minutes lol) .. and Im finally drinking the 2 litres of water a day. My third weigh in is on Friday .. Im hoping for a better loss than last week (1.6kg) and Im about to go and get some leaflets folded up so that when my daughter gets home from school we can go deliver them together :) Just a quick intro for those in the group ... Im in New Zealand, a 34 year old mum of one (Ashleigh just turned 15 last week) and also a mum to 3 dogs and a cat :) We just sold our gift shop (although we still have the online one - which keeps me semi busy lol), but I am looking at doing a home school course .. just not sure what subject. My starting weight isnt my highest, but I wasnt willing to wait until I got back up to that to start doing something about it! I have the initial goal of getting down to 100kg, and then I want to see how I feel .. I dont want to be skinny .. or a size 4 6 8 or even 10 lol .. I will be very happy to be 16 .. maybe even down to a 14 cos I cant actually remember ever being that size! I know for my height I should be a lot less .. but I have been close to my goal weight YEARS ago and felt like a walking coathanger so would prefer a little extra padding - not that I think that would be a problem with my top half anyway lol. Really happy to be doing this challenge .. and its pretty much on the mark of what I want to achieve anyway :) Happy day all .. and great newsletter Boss!! rofl .. |

I want to start to run but I guess I am scared if that makes sense..I exercise 6 days/week already but running is something different for me... I also want to start doing pushups and situps. I can't even do 1 pushup right now..I feel so pathetic..I exercise all the time and I can't do any pushups (I'm talking about male pushups not female pushups)... :-(

Well, after my adventure this morning with a bat I never really got back on track, until this evening. Tonight I had a skinless chicken breast and salad and managed to cut my diet coke drinking in half and and by the end of the night I will have had over 64 oz of water.
I also got to plan my workout for tomorrow...30 min of jogging and an ab workout...here to hoping I follow through:?: |

I think it was called something like Seesaw Calories?? A couple of days every now and then you either boost or lower your calorie intake then go back to what you were always doing .. it jolts your metabolism sometimes .. thats the only thing I can think of if you havent done anything differently for a while. Its sorta like using the same shampoo for years .. when you change shampoos it gives your hair a nice boost lol ... Hope that helps? wow .. some calorie intakes are tiny!! 1000-1200?? Wow ... the Jenny Craig programme has me on 1673 calories (7000kj) ... but I dont eat that many lol .. I just cant fit in that much food rofl. I would probably be closer to 1500 I think. |
hi girlies
well i received my email from pumpkin (thank you!) so i guess i am officially on board :) i am up for the jingle the pounds away challenge which should bring me to the half way point of my weight loss. works perfectly in line with my own personal goals too which is very convenient. a quick background check on me. 28 year old in Australia. My starting weight this time around is my absolute highest weight ever at 108kg (237lbs) and my goal weight at the moment is 65kg (143lbs) by April/May 2007. i joined up with WW online 6 weeks ago but have not been doing as well as i could be (i sabotage myself at night). otherwise i am trying to focus on whole/super foods and limiting junk foods and overly processed stuff and trying to exercise as often as possible. much easier now i have a gym membership. well, i hope everyone is off to a great start on their challenges. i have to agree with pumpkin's statement "Christmas is going to come no matter what". it's up to us as to whether we have lost weight or not by then. |
Hello Ladies....
I am down 2 since last Friday. Rock and Roll, VERY excited. A little about myself. My name is Annie and live in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have two remarkable kids. Samantha is 20 and Jake is 18. One college, one a senior in high school. They are my heartstrings. Been divorced for two years, and loving my life, hating my weight. I work full time and love my job. Here's to us ladies...Cheers to weight loss. (((Hugs))) Annie |

Not a good way to start, but I don't gain. I've had 1500 and 1300 this week as well. I try to get at LEAST 1200 for bare min but I will AIM for 1400 every day. I usually just naturally spill over to 1500 every day or have a weekly avg of that. If I AIMED for 1500 I would probably go over that every day and that would tip my avg balance. I know that was a lot of rambling but the short answer is I did research and mostly playing around and noticing what the scale says. Princess, for your weight, I think 1000 cal is too low. You might lose fast but where you do go when you plateau? You can't cut more. Can you live on 1000 cal for the rest of your life? Some people find that if they eat more (but the right food) they actually lose better. You will stick to your LIFESTYLE change a lot longer if you don't feel deprived. Also I notice that when I only get 1200 cal (rare) I don't get enough vitamins and nutritents NATURALLY from my foods no matter what I ate. Its interesting. There are formulas for figuring out the avg person for each weight. We are individuals so I would say start with that then play with it till it fits you. That's basically what I did. I don't remember the original number for me. It's just food for thought. |
Morning! Hope everyone has a great day!
I made it through yesterday w/o any problems. Hope I can say that for many more days to come! The scales were not my friend however. They show I have gained 2 pounds:( Hopefully it is just water weight or a fluctuation! |
I haven't lost. I'm not worried. I did eat 1800 cals (my maintence) 3 times this week so that may hamper me a little). I also suffer from IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) so sometimes my weight is affected by the bathroom king. Then I also suffer from sleep issues and the scale doesn't like me for that either. TOM is coming. You know how demanding the scale is about that one. I weigh every day but I take tiny flunctuations (for me 2-3lbs heavy is a flunctuation) in stride and just hold on. The key now is I know if I keep plugging away my journal and choose better foods and I DO choose MUCH better foods than I used to, it will move. It may not be for another 2 weeks (providing TOM comes when I think he will). I also know I MAY have trouble getting those last 10lbs off later on in this challenge. I'm happy because I feel more in control with my weight loss and food choices and I fell happy that I'm gaining control of my health. I start school(work) in 2 weeks and my system will be in SHOCK! I've been on vacation. I've done a lot of active stuff the first 2/3 of the vacation but lately I gave myself permission to RELAX before work starts again. I get tons of steps on my pedometer at work.
The question is a little old (I'm sorry) but for future reference if you already know where you are going for a dinner, research that place and see if you can find a nutrition guide online. If you can, make choices you can live with and put them in your daily budget. For starving all day...don't do that. Beter to go up 200 (to maybe an approx maintence cal). If you starve you eat more. Eat instead LEAN protein and something with substaence spread out during the day and a little before you leave. DRINK WATER at the table and give yourself permission to STOP when you've eaten enough instead of eating cuz it tasted good (I was guilty of that last night..grrr). |

You are starving yourself and only making the weight loss harder. You need to eat to lose. |
