Yep, we must have alot of gals here who love to talk. heheh ;)

I'm off to a good start today. Had turkey bacon, hard boiled egg and fiber one cereal for breakfast, yum!

I'm planning on doing 20 minutes pilates, 20-30 minute run, and 30-60 minutes of DDR today. WOOT. I am going to tear up the cardio today, and because of that I will drink a ton of water.

Protein?

Hello all

I am discovering that I am just not doing a good enough job of eating protein. Anyone have ideas for "sneaky" ways to eat protein? Hope everyone is doing well!

PumpkinPrincess 08-11-2006 04:42 PM

Hmmm Protien......

Boneless, Skinless CHicken breast or tenders, about 100 calories for 2 tenders. Which is what I eat everynight for dinner.

Also Tuna Fish is FULL of protien! and with Light Maricle Whip its not to calorie filled.

:carrot: PROTIEN!!!:carrot:

n2luvnlife 08-11-2006 04:42 PM

How is everybody doing today?

How is everyone's water intake? I am up to 96 thus far. Getting ready to go to Curves after work. I went to Physcial Therapy today for my ankle and calf and they massaged the heck out of it. All loose for a great work out.

I hope everyone has great plans for the weekend and I will try to check back in over the weekend (I am going to Maryland for a Crabs at my cousins house) hope to be able to stick to diet and water tomorrow. Wish me luck.
If I don't check back in I will be here Monday.

TTFN!

I've done much better today, after recovering from my loss in spirits yesterday. I've eaten well/healthy with a plan for supper, I've had 45 oz of water today and I also exercised for 45 minutes (I even jogged for some of it:carrot: ). I'm feeling really good. I think I'm going to weigh/measure in next friday and see how I'm doing.

JasonsLea 08-11-2006 06:50 PM

The Firm is a good workout. When I first started my weight loss I started with The Firm and WATP. Now I have added Turbo Jam in there too. TJ is a fun workout. :-)

Alright..so Things are going well here. :-) I lost half a lb. this week..my average is .5-1 lb per week. So you know how they say slow and steady wins the race..hehe. :-) Hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday. This is a really busy thread and I'm not sure I can keep up with ya'll!

Friday evening here! I finished work and now I will sit and concentrate at my studies till 10:00 PM. ( I know :( !!! ).

Had a terribly busy day today and an even chaotic night last night. There was an armed robery in our condo-complex (just upstairs from us at 1:00 am) The police were there until late this morning. I skipped my exrecise and breakfast for this reason and cleaning up the patio which had some broken furniture and flower pots!!!

This was the first crime ever in last 20 years in our area acc. to the police! But I am glad noone was injured. The robbers also fired a gunshot and I still have hard time forgetting the sound. But good thing is that their faces were caught on our survellience cams so the detectives are very hopeful!

Please please everyone close all doors and windows at all times even if its hot! Also try to get a security alarm installed in the house if possible!

I lost 1 lb since last 2 days!!! :carrot: I did run yesterday and will run tomorrow as well!

Well .. if you like Spinach or Silverbeet they are high in iron .... egg yolks are high in protein, and tuna of course ... also beef ... maybe an idea (not sure what plan you are following tho) .. you could actually make a simple meal out of the above.

Wilt the spinach/silverbeet (make sure you clean it really well lol) .. in steam so its just cooked and has shrunk down in size ... while that is on hard boil 1-2 eggs (you can do this ahead really), when they are cooked peel the shell off and take off the white as well. Crumble up the yolk and pop aside. Get a VERY LEAN piece of beef (100g is enough uncooked) ... tenderise it with a mallet and marinade it if you have time (a simple marinade is lemon/orange/lime juice with herbs) and grill it to a medium then slice it thinly into strips. If you are ok eating tomatoes and mushrooms ... get 1 tomato diced, and 2 mushrooms peeled and finely chopped.

Then basically toss the shredded spinach/silverbeet, tomatoes, mushrooms, egg yolk and beef together and add a couple of tablespoons of a light dressing just to add a little moisture ... and that is one HIGHLY PACKED protein meal :) Which isnt high in fat either (make sure you pop the beef on a paper towel and leave it to sit for a few minutes after you have cooked it and before you slice it). You can exchange the beef for fish or chicken too .. but beef is a little higher in protein (iron).

===========================

Okee ... today has been pretty good ... I have lost 6 pounds this week!! Very happy :) Today I bought a bunch of exercise gear - bike pants, t-shirts, socks and sneakers .. as well as 2x1lb weights for when my Turbo Jam arrives and I can be ready with all I can right from the start instead of saying oh cant do it I dont have this this or this ... so Im all hyper waiting for the pack to arrive .. in the meantime I have another exercise dvd turning up on Monday to tide me over until the Turbo Jam arrives lol .. so will get started on that ... I have my 4 week weigh in next week AND I have to do my measurements .. so a little nervous about that .. I think my pants are a little looser .. but then maybe Im just kidding myself lol .. will know for sure next week .. Im tempted to grab the tapemeasure again ... but will hold off lol ..

So Im a little ahead on my plan which is good .. cos I know that some time in the next few months Im gonna hit a plateau, My daughter is joining in with the challenge too .. but she is doing the 20lbs by Xmas ... she isnt on any plan .. but she is eating less junk food anyway lol ... but she is willing to give it a go and she is even going to join in with me doing TJ!

SO that is my news today ... hope everyone else has a great Saturday :)
