I've discovered that I can do a new exercise indoors. Usually if the weather's bad I still walk around the house, which is great, but I can't really get my heart rate up. Yesterday I was watching TV so I wanted to stay in one place and I started marching on the spot, then I increased the speed and ended up jogging, which was unexpected! I thought I'd only be able to do it for a minute or two but I kept going for 11 minutes and my heart rate was way up. I really enjoyed it! Hope this isn't the slippery slope to running outside...!
My exercise goal for January 2019 is 600 minutes a month of intended exercise (for me, that means a structured workout such as on an exercise dvd or something on youtube). If I shovel snow, I count those minutes at half the rate.
