I chose this goal weight because my first major goal is to be 199 by New Years and that would put me on track to be in that ballpark, and would also move me into Category 1 obese, instead of category 2. It also gets me back to where I started my weight loss journey the time I got the smallest, which was clear back in 2007 (edited after I checked my Fitday history, longer ago than I thought). I lost over 30 pounds that time and ended up at 190.2. That's the smallest I've been since college. This would put me where I started that time.
I'll be posting my updates on Sundays, as that's when I've been doing my "official" weekly weigh ins since I started on March 18th. Despite a lot of fluctuation, I haven't a single Sunday-Sunday week so far that I didn't post SOME loss. A couple weeks were only 0.2 or 0.4, but something is something.
I'd like to join! I'm counting down the days to my favorite season anyway, so I might as well pair it with my weight loss goals.

Hmm, what to make my goal. Going by my history, I tend to lose about 3 pounds a month when all is going well, so that rate would land me at about a 9 pound loss. I'm tempted to aim for more than that so that I can finish in the 120's. I think I should instead take it easier than usual though, due to my skin procedure and the subsequent collagen-building that'll be happening in the upcoming months. So I'll aim for only 7.2 pounds. I will hope to maintain for the next month (July) - and then in August I do play on cutting my calories so that, come birthday month (November), I am about 5- or 8- lbs down from my current weight.

I just had my 2nd baby 5 months ago (my two kids are only 19 months apart!). I've made it down to my pre-pregnancy weight from my 2nd baby, but never lost the baby weight from my first. My goal for this challenge is to be at the weight I was when I got pregnant with my daughter. I'm off work for the summer, so I'm hoping to develop good habits before going back to work in August. I will be weighing in on Fridays.

I am pleased that I made it to the gym, yesterday....that was unexpected! I had a full day of board meetings and my teenage son finished gr 11, so I figured after work I would take him for a (short) celebration!
Well, he did not feel like celebrating - his introvert side was on full display and he wanted to lay about on the couch with his smart phone.
I decided to use my "found" time at the gym and so I raced away and pounded out weights for one hour. BOOM!
Now, to begin the long road of tracking calories, limiting portions, and choosing to hop on the scale, again. Sigh.
It is what it is! Saturdays will be my weigh-in day.
Thank you for starting the next thread in her absence, Lacerta! I will join in this round, as well. I usually choose a 20 lb goal, but I'm going to go with 15 lbs this time because I'm heading back home to California for a visit in a couple weeks, and I know I will likely put on some weight with all the food I've missed from there...so, giving myself a little extra wiggle room to make up for that gain if it happens, lol.
Today is my weigh-in day. I'm down 1.2 pounds. I did great yesterday, but started off not so great today. Got Starbucks this morning - drink and breakfast sandwich wasn't bad, but I also got a chocolate croissant. I'm most likely going to be over on calories today, but will try to drink extra water.
