A bit of a repeat of last Saturday this morning, with a dip on the scales and a new low! Well under target now, so it bodes well for a good Saturday night and a few treats! In theory perhaps I could start eating a little more, but from tomorrow i'm at a conference intesrstate for a few days, so not sure how easy it'll be to eat well there - so plan is to do what i'm doing and have another review at the end of July.

Ok, ange, listen up. I'm trying to reach the point where I weigh double what you do, and all month long, you keep moving the goalpost for me. At the start of the month, I only had to get to 234, which I've almost done. But now, I have to get all the way to 227.4. Don't you have any consideration for what you are doing to me?
lacerta - ha! challenge accepted (even though i'm doomed to failure in this one). My strategy to stay ahead is not to weigh in for the next few days!! As I said on another thread though - you're doing absolutely fantastically at the moment with your weight/fitness combo happening. Sending lots of good vibes and motivation dust. Have a great weekend
Hey all! I've been away on vacation and gained a little over 8 lbs while I was gone! It's starting to come back down now that we're back -- only at 5.2 lbs up from my last weigh-in before leaving now, lol -- but, I wanted to make sure I held myself accountable for it and logged it on the spreadsheet. So, right now, I'm showing that I've gained weight so far instead of lost any for the moment...lol. I knew with the travel this month that July would be a rough patch in the challenge, but I'm getting back to my routine right away and hoping that will help me catch back up a bit. Fingers crossed!
I pulled off a 3 pound loss this week, which is only the 4th time I've done that, out of 18 weeks losing weight, including the first week, when you drop all the water weight. 3 pounds is a lot for me for 1 week, so I'm really really happy about it. This is also now officially the most weight I've lost in my life. I'm not down to my lowest and won't be for a while still, but I've never lost more than 32 pounds before, so this is new territory for me in that way.
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer.
Glad to see you getting right back to it Ophelia. Not surprised to see it, though, you are amazing.
Hi! I’m joining late, but I would like to join this challenge as well!! I’m looking to increase my exercise and get back into a healthy calorie counting routine. My goal is to lose 30 pounds from now until 9/22.
just popping in to say maintenance-land is still good
Hi Farn it's good to see you join us! Momtopands and Lacerta - woo hoo you two! Love to read about how happy you are with yourselves. You're both smashing it. Well done! Keep it up.

wow, another week gone. Seem to have lost another lb this week, which isn't really part of the Maintenance plan and overall i'm still losing slowly but steadily it seems, so it looks as if i'm going to be able to eat more than I think for maintaining. The temptation is of course to eat more non-nutritious stuff - potato chips, carbs, sugary stuff, alcohol, etc, but is that what I've really put all this effort in for??? And if not, can I stick to just eating bigger portions of whatever i'm already eating in the long term - or will that just get me used to eating more volume so that it can go horribly wrong more quickly if I drift to the wrong stuff in future!?? Questions, questions.....
Congratulations ange82much on another good week. I have managed to put on one more pound. Sigh! Besides walking have also started doing strength training thrice a wee. Eating close to 1800 calories everyday. Guess will have to cut on calories somewhere to see some changes.
I managed to take off another 2 pounds this week, to put me at a solid 10 down so far for this challenge. Almost halfway to my goal. It has been a better than average month for me. Hopefully, next month is as good. Good luck heading into August everyone.
I'm down a little over half a pound from last week, which would put me right at the pace I'd like for a 7 pound loss in this challenge. I'll see how it goes for the next few weeks and adjust my calories +/- depending on if the pace increases or slows down. I really enjoy this pace! It doesn't feel much different from when I'm not actively losing, just a little more careful not to eat when I'm not really hungry. More than that though, what's really helping me is doing some exercise most days. I can't lose or maintain easily without some activity, and that's so important for health anyway. Once my schedule gets swamped next month, I *must* stick with exercising most days.

Finally all the food and no exercise hit me. I gained so much weight that my current weight is higher than my starting weight.
This week I am starting my diet and exercise routine again after two crazy weeks. I went to a bachelor party, a wedding, a Communion, a birthday party,... all in a week, too much sugar.
