Was extremely low this morning! Calories were good yesterday. Got some exercise in but wasn't worried about weight this morning because I had such a big drop yesterday. To my surprise, I got on the scale and was down another 2 lbs. Battery is running low now, so I'm thinking maybe it was a fluke we will see tomorrow morning. Regardless I am happy with the 143 from yesterday but 141 would be amazing! lol. Hope everyone is having a great Saturday!

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!!

Nicholsfamily is everyone well in your household now? I hope that your scales aren't playing up and your amazing numbers stick!

Leah YAY! to goal, I think that is you out of the 200s now?! *touching wood* congratulations, now you can be kind to yourself and see what the rest of the month brings. Really hope to stay on plan and not be too far behind you! Your pill mix up sounds tough, but glad you're laughing about it!

Ophelia Well done on resting, something I struggle to do when I get in a rhythm. I will this morning, but might go for a walk on the river tonight. Lovvely loss too, hope it sticks!

Nancy I hope yesterday's number is the start of a new drop, fingers crossed!

Kfunk nice drop!

Today I am going to have a pretty lazy one. The sun is shining but isn't here to stay so me and my book are heading to the park, probably with sandwiches. Later I will do a short workout and depending on my feet go for a walk along the river. I should do some work stuff but quite frankly, I feel like a proper day off.... I will do some Portuguese studying as a compromise though!

Happy with my number this morning, esp as yesterday I wasn't totally on plan, I had 400ml of lager and a small choc pudding, but was active and on plan totally apart from that including water. I am achy today too as I lugged a vacuum cleaner and bag of soil home from the hypermarket on the metro and then up my hill. Planted up my little patio with some herbs in pots and am proud of my greenfingers!!! Made a delicious vegan spicy bean salad for dinner and ate it with salad in wraps for dinner. Divine!

Restarting on 9th March - SW 205.0
Goal weight 199.0

9/3 - 205.0
12/3 - 203.8

takingcontrol Wow! That sounds like quite a workout! My goal was to reach 198. Now I just want to stay around that. Hopefully go lower but really I just want to average 198.

I wish I had a green thumb. I call mine the black thumb. I just kill whatever I try to grow. There are a few things I can grow but unfortunately I don't like eating them. I've successfully grown tomatoes and cucumbers. But those are easy as long as you water them. I want to try an onion this year. Apparently all you need to do is save the root part of an onion when you cut one up and then plant it. Similar to planting bulbs. But most likely I will murder it.
________________________________________________

I woke up with really bad anxiety this morning and it's really annoying me. I'm baking cupcakes for my family get together tonight and I'm super anxious about them. I'm not entirely sure why. I know a big part of is that I have a very specific idea in mind and I'm afraid I'll screw it up. However I have a backup plan that will be easy to do and still look fine. The issue is that I'm such an artistic person I realllllly want my first idea to work!! We'll see. It's for family so it's no big deal.

I'm not sure if this is the place to post this, but this thread has good traffic, so was hoping you guys could give me some feedback on my typical daily menu. I have cut out wheat and alcohol. I also cut down on the amount of processed foods that I eat, and my portions are small. I started out averaging 10lbs per month (first 3 months) but in order for the trend to continue I would need to lose almost 9 more lbs in 9 days and that will not happen. I had figured that my loses would slow down but I didn't think it would happen so soon, especially since I have so much more to lose.

It has been a bad week on the scale and now I am wondering if its time to change my diet, but I'm not sure if that is jumping the gun. I am open to any and all suggestions on how I can tweak this! I tend to eat the same foods over and over again so here is a sample of the foods I usually eat. Breakfasts and dinners rarely consist of things outside of what I posted. When my husband cooks something for dinner that I can eat I will pack leftovers for my lunch the next day. I usually have 2 snacks per day, sometimes only 1.

Breakfasts:
1 piece of gluten free toast with 1 tbsp. of peanut butter
black coffee with 2 tbps. of flavored coffee creamer

2 hard boiled eggs
black coffee with 2 tbsp. of flavored coffee creamer

Snacks:
carrots with 2 tbsp. hummus
celery with 2 tbsp. peanut butter
string cheese
grapes
apple slices
peanuts

Lunches:
taco meat, shredded cheese, onion, tomato, lettuce

2 eggs, 1 sausage patty and hashbrowns

chicken breast and rice or quinoa

leftovers from husbands dinner the night before (usually a serving of meat and rice, quinoa, or potato)

Dinners:
salad with 1 serving of mozzarella cheese and 2 tbsp. of ranch dressing

salad with 1 serving of cheddar cheese and 2 tbsp. of western dressing

tuna with 1 tbsp. of miracle whip and steamed broccoli

I drink over 100 oz. of water each day and drink green tea. I will have an occasional diet soda when I am at a party or out to dinner.

LovelyLeah: Hope your original plan for the cupcakes/family time works out for you, and congrats on hitting your goal this month!

Nicholsfamily1987: That's awesome...and, I'm glad it stuck for you!

takingcontrol: The spicy bean salad wraps sound delicious, yum. And, congrats on the loss...almost to Onederland now!

kfunk6113: Thank you! I started up again on December 28th and ended up losing about 26 lbs just in January alone due to starting at such a high weight and having lots of water weight/bloat, so it seems kind of fast because of those first few weeks...lol. As for your menu, it all looks pretty decent to me! What are your usual calories for the day and what do you usually do for exercise/activity?

brd88: Glad you're having a good week!

Weigh-in was 246.4 today...so bumped up a bit as expected, but still stayed under 247, which is my 50 lb mark. Hoping to keep it below that point and moving back down again for my challenge's end tomorrow! The last two days have been rest days for my foot, but going to try heading out tonight for at least half of my evening walk to try out the new shoes I got yesterday and start breaking them in a little.

Congrats on hitting your goal, Leah!!!

kfunk, your food looks good to me! I wonder if maybe portions are too big? Do you calorie count and/or weigh/measure your food?

nancy, I'm happy you broke through that 160.2!

Ophelia, takingcontrol, and Nichols, I got a little bump up, too! What the heck happened on Sunday?! We'll get it back, though

Ophelia That is a huge accomplishment! I hope that you met your goal for the spring challenge!

Britt/Ophelia I don't count my calories, but I am going to start doing that tomorrow. I usually use measuring cups/spoons but I think I will use the food scale from now on. I am also going to start journaling everything that goes in my mouth to make sure I haven't accidently left something out. I have been focusing primarily on my diet so I haven't been working out (yet). I am going to start lifting weights this week and now that the weather is getting nicer I will start walking as well.

Tuesday is my official weigh in day so I am really hoping I get below 220.4 (last weeks weigh in)

nancylmrn: Good luck with the new exercise routine!!

takingcontrol: Hope you had a good weekend, too!

Nicholsfamily1987: Glad you are still down!

brd88: We will for sure!

LovelyLeah: Good job holding steady! Have fun at dinner tonight...hope your husband has a happy birthday and that you're able to find something fairly OP on the menu!

kfunk6113: Thank you, and I did end up still meeting it! And, keeping track of what I eat and my calories in/calories out has made all the difference for me, so I hope it works out for you, too! That and drinking tons of water are the main factors of any success I have ever had with losing weight now or in the past. I bet it will help to see it all written out with each item's coinciding numbers, because then you can adjust up or down accordingly like a calculation until you figure out what works just right for you.

________________________________

Weigh-in was back down a little at 246.2 today, so that means I am still at over 50 lbs lost for my other challenge. Whew! Haha. Took my new shoes out for a test walk to start breaking them in last night and managed about 3.8 miles overall. I ended up starting to feel a little soreness from my alignment readjusting to the new support (something they told me I would feel and need to acclimate to while breaking them in after my gait analysis) around 3 miles in, which is all I was expecting to be able to do anyway, so I took it easy and stayed home after my first loop. Will probably do the same thing today or the next couple days even, just to make sure I get used to it before going the whole 5 miles or more. We'll see, though!
