Thank you for the welcome!
My goal for the end of the month is to hit 157, which is a little over 6 pounds from where I am currently. I am going to TRY to only weigh once or twice a week, but I know that will be a challenge for me. But we will see. SW: 163.2 GW: 157 3/17: 163.2 |
Sorry I've been MIA. The last few days have been hectic and a little all over the place. I've stayed OP despite some emotional spikes. I'm getting really close to my goal! Hopefully I'm done with the 200s but I know tonight will be high sodium for me so I should really focus on my water today. Also Sunday is my family's big St. Patricks Day get together.

brd88: Welcome to the thread! kfunk6113: Thank you! I love them, too...especially when they stick around the next day, lol. And, nice loss! :) Ronja: Hoping your fast day helps even out yesterday! darius: Great loss for the week...good job! :cp: Nicholsfamily1987: Yay! :cheer3: LovelyLeah: Good job staying OP, and nice loss! Here's to you keeping up your water today and enjoying your family's celebration while still staying under that pesky 200 mark... ________________________________ Weigh-in was 248.2 today. Didn't do great on the water (11), but got my 5 mile evening walk in. Starting to get some pain on the pad of my forefoot on the left side, though. I've been noticing it for a few days, but it's starting to get to where it is staying sore throughout the day now and not just at the beginning of my walks on the big hill. It's not too bad yet, but I'm thinking it might be time to go ahead and get a new pair of decent shoes since I'm putting so many miles on these old ones. :running: Week Three 15: 249.8 (TOM already over -- or was a false start?) 16: 248.8 17: 248.2 18: 19: 20: 21: ---------------------------- End of Week Two: 250.2 Total Loss for Week Three: |

Nancy how frustrating, maybe you need to have a shake up couple of days, one higher and one lower and see if you can 'trick' your body into moving again?! I don't know what is worse, your being static or my being absolutely all over the place this month.... oh the fun and games of weight loss!
Keika Whoooooop, congratulations on being at your half way point!! Opheila Boo to the foot pain, since I have been walking more, and depending on the shoes I am wearing, I have developed a tendency to get blisters on the soles of my feet, both ball and heal. I am hoping the more used to walking my feet get and the lighter the load gets they will stop! Good idea on the new shoes though, I often do my waling in work boots or casual pumps as I link it into getting from A-B, but do find it much comfier when I actually wear my trainers and go walking. Leah Have a lovely weekend, well done for being back in onederland and for staying on track. Allow yourself some treats this weekend and be kind to yourself, it is a marathon not a sprint, as my up and down last month illustrates! Brd88 hello and welcome! Good luck with you goal, we are all here to cheer you on! Nicholasfamily I hope you have a well household again by now, and that your numbers continue in the right direction from here! Darius Great weekly loss, congrats! Pleased with my number today, going to have an on plan weekend and week and see if it sticks!! I WILL make it to onederland in March!!!!! 730am here and about to run out of the door to work, hoping to get some sunshine time in this afternoon, it is meant to be 23C (no idea about F sorry!) here today, which for March is pure bliss that I intend to enjoy!!! Thank you for the welcome!
Ophelia, be careful with that kind of foot pain. I have a pretty high pain threshold and kind of just ignored this pain in my foot until it got unbearable about 8 weeks later and was diagnosed with injury-induced plantar fasciitis that I made worse by continuing to walk on them with no support. At the time, I was also a heavy walker for exercise purposes. I'm still recovering 18 months later. Had to get rid of all of my shoes (and I had a ton!) to replace them with orthotics. Feet are getting better, but I still feel pain if I am barefoot and on them too long. All that to say, "get em checked out sooner rather than later so you don't make it worse!" ----------------------------------------------------- Nice whoosh today! Especially after feeling (unreasonably) bummed about the smaller loss yesterday! SW: 163.2 CW: 162 GW: 157 3/17: 163.2 3/18: 162 |
Darius Great job!! Do you have your CPAP yet?
Leah, Britt, takingcontrol nice drops!! I hope a pair of new shoes helps with your foot pain Ophelia. Glad to see you keep going down! Keika that is awesome!! I am hoping that I am retaining water as well and that I get a whoosh next week! Hope that the kiddos are feeling better Nichols and that your drop sticks today! Nice job getting back to onederland Leah! I hope that you enjoy your time with your family! Hang in there Nancy you are due any day now! takingcontrol: Coming back down nicely! And, hopefully you will find some shoes you like walking in too that won't give you any blisters. Keika: Nice loss for the week, and congrats on hitting your half way mark! :cheer3: nancylmrn: Hopefully it was just a plateau and your break down into the 150s means you will keep moving down again! :crossed: brd88: Thanks for the heads up! I ended up taking a rest day from the 5 mile walk last night and will probably take today off, as well. I also ended up getting some new shoes today to celebrate 50 lbs down and to give my feet some fresh support that they are so desperately needing. I'll probably pick it back up tomorrow and give the new shoes a try...might do the 3 mile loop instead to break them in a little before going back up to the 5 miles, but we will see. I definitely don't want to cause any real damage to my feet! And, congrats on the whoosh! :yay: kfunk6113: I hope so, too...I got a new pair today, so we will see! :running: ________________________________ Weigh-in was 245.6 today...which is about a 2.6 lb whoosh, so I checked it a couple times before deciding it was right, lol. I know I will likely bump back up a little tomorrow, as per usual after a whoosh that size, but I am hoping I get to keep some of it and at least stay under my goal of 247 for the 20th! Yesterday was a rest day for walking since my foot is hurting, but I still got in a smidge over my minimum of 10k steps because it was such a busy day in general. I went ahead and rewarded myself with a new pair of shoes this afternoon since that also means that I hit my 50 lbs down mark (which would have been the goal at 247) today! :yay: I don't think it could have come at a better time for my feet, haha. GOAL!!!!!
Today I feel awful but it's actually really funny. I forgot to take my meds last night so I hardly slept! I thought my poor sleep had to do with my husband and I having a really late dinner and going to bed feeling really full. I'm on a lot of medications so I use a med box to help me separate morning and evening pills. I no longer even think about morning and night anymore. I just take whatever pills are in the next square. Well this morning I just took the meds in the next box without thinking. Well that was last nights meds. Oops!!! So I started my day with a sleeping pill, a muscle relaxant, and a blood pressure medication. Luckily I have a high tolerance for them and they only make me drowsy rather than knocking me out. I had some things I had to take care of around the house today and I felt like I was trying to do them drunk. It doesn't feel the best but I also think it's hilarious! I'm done finally and able to go lay down and take a nap. So I'm off to do that.
