Are you counting calories, or doing anything specific to lose weight?

Weigh-in was 255.2 today, so finally broke back through that initial whoosh. I ended up doing almost 5.5 miles on my walk last night, because I was on the phone with my mom and ended up doing a few extra loops up and down the street to pass some more time before heading back into the house...so, I guess that call helped me out! Haha. I got in a little over 17k steps overall for the day. Ended up staying up until 2am again last night, though, so going to make a more definite effort to get to bed at a decent hour tonight. :yawn:

kfunk6113 I'm a calorie counter. I always have been a calorie counter. But in the past I used to keep my calorie goal between 1000-1200. I might have lost the weight quicker back then but I could never sustain it. There were a lot of foods or meals I would have to cut in order to stay within that range. I would get diet fatigue and give up. But now my calorie range is around 1500-1600. I can enjoy a lot more now. I feel like I can relax and still lose weight. It'll just be slower. But I think the slower you lose weight the easier it'll be when you reach maintenance.

opheliaphoenix I know! I'll probably hit it sometime this week. I could hit it tomorrow but then it could just as easily go back up. I think my focus will be more on stabilizing and staying in onederland this week and next week. And congrats on that amazing walk!!!

I am ABSOLUTELY exhausted today. Got a coffee this morning with 2 espresso shots because I knew it was going to be a long day. My day actually flew by. A hour bike ride with the kids, 2 hours of softball playing...and eating below my calories..I am hoping will make up for my HUGE screw up day yesterday (BBQ with the family celebrating a birthday) I am shocked it didn't show up on my weight this morning..but wouldn't be surprised if it showed up tomorrow. Looks like everyone is doing great!

I am so happy about my weigh in this morning. I am praying that it sticks. We will see tomorrow morning! I really think the change up in exercise helped yesterday.

LovelyLeah Its great that you found a calorie range that you are happy with and still is producing results! I think that I may start counting calories at some point, I still have a long way to go to get to my goal so I will probably change things up a few times along the way.

I apparently enjoyed my cold so much these past two weeks that I decided to hit repeat. Oh well. I'm not too worried about the little bounce up. Last night was pretty much a straight sodium bomb. We made chinese food from prepackaged frozen meals.

Weigh-in was 254.2 today. Got in my steps/walk last night, but still working on figuring out my water goals during my shorter timeframe and ended up going to bed even LATER last night, despite my best intentions to go to bed at a decent hour. Last night, it was after 3:15am...:o:tired: So, needless to say, I think I'm going to take melatonin again tonight by 9-9:30 and see if that helps like it did last time I started doing this, lol.

I'm just holding my breath it stick, more or less. Thursday is another fast day. I've been so pleased with IF, it really feels like an attainable regime for me.
Last month I lost tons of weight during first 8 days and then I plateaued for 20 days. I suspect this has a lot to do with my cycle. So this month looks similar, I'm losing fast now, but I know there will be a gain when my period arrives and likely little to no loss the next two or even three weeks. So I'm keen on reaching most of my goal for this month as soon as possible and then just maintain.

Hello everyone, I am creeping back in after a week of eating ALL the food and drinking ALL the alcohol.... oh dear!

I am not stepping on my scales until this Thursday, my usual weigh in day, but expecting a disaster.

I would LOVE for March to be the month I get under and stay under 200, but let's see.

On the slow road to onederland!!!

I knew the low-low weight yesterday was too good to be true. Oh well atleast it's still a drop from the 146.6. I'll take it and keep trucking on.
