Well, I made it through the lasagna dinner and sent some home with the in-laws. All points accounted for and didn't do too bad.:carrot: For lunch I had low fat cottage cheese and dumped a no sugar added ready to eat cup of peaches. It was okay...what else do you guys/gals eat with cottage cheese? Trying to develop a liking for it since it has 13 grams of protein per serving and is a 5 pt. serving for WW. Looking for ideas. :idea: Marina - Sorry chickie! Can't eat the dust...but I imagine it tasting like chocolate sprinkles!:devil: |
boatingmommy my favorite with cottage cheese is pineapple! I get the kind packed in 100% pineapple juice, and drain it before adding. Mmm.

I like cottage cheese and pineapple, too, or sometimes mandarin oranges, also vanilla yogurt with crushed pineapple, yums! GW: 77 kg 10/01 = 80 10/02 = 80 BFR I am losing weight by eating healthier food than I used to. I and sort of an intuitive eater even though i still have somewhat of a plan. I don't count calories and i don't think i ever will. I never restrict myself, because i know I will binge if i do it, it's just how my body and mind work. My binge eating disorder gets worse when I am under a lot of stress, when i'm tired, sad or overwhelmed. A bad day, being worried with work stuff, a feeling of emptiness that i get sometimes, all of those increase the risk of a binge eating episode. I used to feel a lot of hunger in the past while trying to lose weight, but i'm not putting myself through this ever again because i hate the feeling and because it doesn't work at all (i regain all the weight i've lost and put on a few more lbs). I know many people binge due to feeling hunger and restricting themselves a lot, and if i were doing this i would probably be binging every other day, but i've always binged for other reasons too, which makes it a bit harder, i believe. You hit the spot when you mentioned the diference between need and want. I can tell the diference, but sometimes the "wanting to eat" is really convincing and hard to resist and i give in. I'm trying to overcome this, but i'm pretty sure it will be an issue for my whole life, just something i'll always have to deal with like i do with cigarretes even though i haven't smoked for 8 years (it gets easier, thankfully!). boatingmommy - I had two slices of watermellon! I loooove watermellon! Breakfast is a small meal in Brazil. I love cottage cheese with mango and sometimes passion fruit. Yummmm! Thank you all ladies for the support. I've switched to maintenance mode and plan on maintaining for a few days which means i might change my goal depending on how i feel. |

Marina, I totally agree with all you said in your post above... The smoking thing will finally completely subside also. I stopped 37 years ago, 4 packs a day to zilch cold turkey. I would not be here today if I had not, I don't think I would have lasted another year. That was the point I was trying to get across :D And was trying to share that with everyone, especially those who are doing exactly that. I thought you may have been, but now am happy to see you aren't. Yes, there are many different facets to this weight loss thing, and weight loss is only a part of weight management. The flip side of trying to lose weight is that faced by those on the other side of the coin who are desperately trying to gain weight for various good reasons. There is much to be learned from them also, the first being that weight does not go on suddenly, it takes a long time. We did not get this fat on us instantly and it is not going away instantly, and one binge by itself hardly affects our current weight at all. The reason I count calories or try to stay up with them anymore is to get a handle on my eating. By looking up the calories of diff foods and applying that to what I eat (or want to but don't) I have a much better idea of where the weight is coming from and knowledge makes practically everything easier to manage.
