GW: 78 kg 10/01 = 80 10/02 = 80 10/03 = 80 10/04 = 79,4 I did nothing diferent... still eating on maintenance... not sure if it's a real loss. 10/05 = 79,4 It was a real loss after all! :) 10/06 = 79 10/07 = 79 10/08 = 79, 8 10/09 = 79, 8 10/10 10/11 10/12 10/13 10/14 = 78, 8 :halffull: 10/15 = 79 10/16 = 78, 7 10/17 = 78, 6 10/18 = 78, 5 10/19 = 78 GOAL !!! :carrot: 10/20 = 78 :halffull: Oh! It's still at 78! 10/21 = 79 Ok... ok.... must remain calm.. WTF. :censored: :tantrum:  :faint: 10/22 10/23 = 78, 4 10/24 = 78 Goal again! Lol! 10/25 = 78 10/26 = 78 JB, i really think it's water weight. From what you've explained, you've had lots of foods rich in sodium. Japanese food is actually pretty low on sodium here in Brazil unless you add shoyo to it. I know that's not how it's made in most of the countries i've been, though. Drink lots of water and be patient! |
JB, at your weight 2lbs is only .8 % or 8/10 of one percent or .008 of your 249 lbs. If you weighed 130 lbs that would be 1.5% or 1 1/2% or .015 of your weight. At the present time that .8% just does not matter and is no cause for alarm, well within range of normal daily weight fluctuations. One cup of water weighs 1/2 lb. Two cups of water of course, then weighs 1 lbs. If one weighs 250 lbs and drinks one pint of water,- 1 lbs, while standing on the scales, the scales will then show 251 lbs. Did the person gain any fat--- or is that just showing the extra lb of water which means nothing? :dz:
For knowing the closest to the amount I really weigh, I weigh first thing in the morning right after using the bathroom and before putting on any clothes. (not a pretty pic eh? :D) Anyway, from there on my weight fluctuates all day long as I drink cups of coffee, relieve myself of that coffee, eat, breathe (which expires more weight in water vapor than one would think) and do whatever activity which burns calories which equals weight and is given off as body heat... other words our bodies are constantly changing weight.... constantly. It is something dynamic, constantly in a state of flux. Relax and enjoy life, eat some more Chinese (or Japanese or Asian) food, have fun and quit worrying. Myself, I bet ya make that goal. And if ya don't.. It sure won't bother me because it will slide off anyway... In it's own time. ;) weight this morning 211.4 Calories yesterday 870 B F R |

It makes me very thirsty, so I've been drinking my weight in water. I pretty much eat one actual meal a day and that's dinner after work. |

Thanks guys. I understand that most, at least, of this is just water weight but that doesn't do a thing for me. Still sickening to see the scales jump from 247.0 to 251.6 in less than a week!
As far as weighing, I use the bathroom, strip down to my b-day suit and weigh each morning. Hoping the scales are kind tomorrow, I've drunk extra water for the last couple of days. |
Had a huuuuuuuge binge for no good reason. Probably gained weight from it ( it was truly huge as in 5000 calories huge or more HU-GE!). Hi, my name is Marina and i'm and adict! Weight will be up tomorrow. Now i'm going to exercise and maybe try to lessen the damage. I'm just going to get back on plan and that's it. ;)

JB: "Thanks guys. I understand that most, at least, of this is just water weight but that doesn't do a thing for me. Still sickening to see the scales jump from 247.0 to 251.6 in less than a week"
I don't like seeing my weight jump up like that either, even though I know it does that. But I ACCEPT that as the way it is, something beyond my control. I apply the 12 step programs philosophy to that.... "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things and the WISDOM to know the difference." That little thing applies to all in the programs, all faiths and atheists alike and each that adapts it finds relief in it. There is a part of weight loss/control that I do, in the most part, have control over. That is how many calories I take in and what types they are, and how much physical exertion I do that burns some of it. That is the only part I can influence. Other than that, I "turn it over," to God as some use, for me, just kicking back letting happen what will happen without getting overly emotionally involved about it. Stressing/worrying about what one cannot control is a worthless expense of emotional well-being, fretting and stressing about something completely beyond ones control, spinning some into drinking, some into drugging, some into other self destructive behaviors such as..:o.. OH, did I mention over-eating?? And many others. But one may do as they wish, nobody makes anybody do anything. If one wishes to continue being stressed out over what they cannot control, that has to be entirely their business, I have a full plate and am not going to worry about what others do. Joy posted about a book she has read written by the daughter of Aaron T. Beck who started Cognitive Therapy and wrote a book with that title. That therapy is very closely related to "Reality Therapy" started by William Glasser who also wrote a book by that same title about the same time period as Beck wrote his book. Both of them mention that they got the idea from going to AA meetings and observing how the alcoholics treated themselves and Becks idea was cognitive... "Being aware of what was/is" and Glassers was about reality, which boils down to the same thing, facing reality and learning from it. Beck's daughter wrote a weight loss book using cognitive therapy methods in it, as is per the books description. However I have not read it.... YET. But I will. It is a bit belated, but thanks Joy for mentioning that book in last months posting, which was the first I heard about it. Being as I have Aspergers syndrome, which is a mild form of autism, it took me a very long time to learn what most people are just born knowing about relations with other people. And I am far from knowing all there is to know about that yet. My mind deals mostly with reality and facts. That is where it is the most comfortable. Also aging, I am all too aware of Alzheimers and do all I can to help ward that off, which mostly consists of keeping my mind busy exploring new areas as much as possible. So if I write something which hurts someones feelings it is only because I do not know how to say it in a way that does not. Faced with that choice, I write both for my own benefit--- making me use my brain, strengthening the bonds in it, and for others. Not just for the person whose post I am replying to, but just as much if not more for others who are looking for answers, who want and need to know in order to fight ones own worst enemy.... Themselves ;) My name is B F R and I am an addict......... Marina: "Weight will be up tomorrow. Now i'm going to exercise and maybe try to lessen the damage. I'm just going to get back on plan and that's it. :)" Way to go Marina :) Sum, I think you will make goal, here is the best wishes for you :) Calories yesterday 830 weight today 210.8 B F R |

I didn't do a weigh-in on here yesterday. I actually thought I did on the 2% challenge (my first stop, yesterday) and never hit enter. LOL! I was checking in on that post when I got called into work and didn't realize it until I got on the computer this morning. The weight that I knew would come off, eventually, has been coming off for the last 2 days. Still hoping to end as close to my goal as possible. 10/27: 249.6 10/28: 248.0 |
