Thanks everyone for your support!

I had a tough day yesterday. Lot's of drama with my birth mother and sister (I'm adopted). I spent so much of the night crying, texting, and being depressed.

I'm feeling okay today.

8/2: 175
8/3: 175
8/4: 174.4

Yay I've lost! I wish I could enjoy it more-I'm still a little down about last night. But I'll feel better later I know and then I'll enjoy it.

Thanks everyone! The interview went really well and I'm about 80% I got the job. She promised to call me tomorrow. It will be great to get the job because one of my biggest food problems is boredom eating. Not being employed and out of class for the summer has given me the munchies! But classes start back up in 4 weeks. If I get this job I might start as soon as this week which would be nice to get the hang of it before school begins.

I'm up .5 pound but I think it might be from the high sodium I ate yesterday. I'm drinking tons of water today trying to flush my system out. I also talked my folks out of taking everyone out for Chinese buffet. We even out SO much in the past 2 weeks and while I've done my best to stay on track at restaurants it's REALLY difficult!

Leah, if you have to have a clothes problem, your clothes being too big is the one to have! I hope you get the job!

Lisa, stress will do that. Hope you have a better month!

Tuscany, you are on a roll! Great job! And thanks, I plan to keep those 10 lbs off!

Sum, the scale is headed in the right direction! Good for you!

Bg, Ha! Dreams are funny. You'll do fine on vacation, especially with such determination!

Junebug, looks like you are on your way down. Keep going!

Joy, fantastic!

Turtle, lol, my scale must have come from the same factory. I'm pretty sure it breaks a few times a month too! Congrats on losing! And I know what you mean about vacation. It's tricky!

Pixikat, thanks! I did find a scale, so I'll be able to keep track, and incredibly, I am behaving myself, lol!

Wolfgirl, I'm so sorry you've been hurt. I'm glad you are taking care of yourself though. Keep going!

Well, I couldn't resist weighing myself, even though I said I'd give it a day or two. I was expecting the worst, but I maintained! I thought m-a-y-b-e my meals were normal size but the carbs filled me up so much, it was hard to judge and I was certain I had gained. Woohoo! And today, I have been very good staying on plan. I'm happy!

Well, as of yesterday I'm still at my starting weight. But at least the scale isn't moving in the wrong direction!

Start weight- 171.1
Goal weight- 165

Aug 1- 171.1
Aug 2- 171.2 (+.1) TOM
Aug 3- 172.8 (+.6)
Aug 4- 172.8 (.0)
Aug 5- 172.5 (-.3)

Great weekend with the family! Today, we went hiking for a couple of hours, stopped for lunch had a salad and unsweetened tea, and then on our way home went raspberry and blackberry picking at a farmer's market. Beautiful weather, beautiful day!

My weight is little high but I really feel like I'm retaining water. I've tried to keep up with my water, get exercise in, and stay within my calories. I just think I'm going to have to ride Mother Nature out for a couple of days yet. I really should not weigh in during TOM, it's too disheartening.

Wolfgirl, I'm so sorry your going through family drama right now. I am most definitely an emotional eater so stressful times can really throw me in a tailspin. I'm glad you are feeling better about things and yay on the scale moving down for you!

Leah, glad you felt good about the interview and hopefully you get good news today. I consider talking your family out of the buffet a NSV. Each one of those positive little choices throughout the month adds up to success in the end

Faye, today's a new day! Good luck!

Gordongirl, great attitude!

Jacqui, great job staying on plan. Vacations are a definite challenge! Have a great day!

Pixi, darn that sodium! Good luck on the scale today!

Bg and Joy, Great job!

Tuscany, well look who's rocking this challenge! Go on with your bad self

Welcome back June and Cincorn!

Sum, looks like you are off to a great start!

Turtle, yeah on the loss! Wahoo!

Sorry if I missed anyone! Have a great day!

August is shaping up to be my favorite month. Kissed another 0.75 lbs goodbye this morning. I will admit I have stepped up the exercise since the beginning of the month...perhaps it's doing the trick! Whatever the reason, I'll take it.

Aug 1: 157.25
Aug 2: 156.75 (-0.50)
Aug 3: 156.00 (-0.75)
Aug 4: 155.25 (-0.75)
Aug 5: 154.50 (-0.75)

GW: 149.00

Turtle: Glad to see the scales finally moved! I hope they move again today. I have been keeping my fingers permanently crossed, although that makes it tough when I play the piano

Lene: Hope all is well...we miss you!

GardenerJoy: Way to go with another loss! BTW, I'm surprised to see someone from Missouri measure in kg. Do you originate from Europe or Australia?

Pixi: I hope you move away from 251.4 soon.

bg124: Glad to see your recent good losses are sticking…I hope mine do too.

Jacqui: Great progress while on vacation…ONE-derland here we come!

Leah: My fingers remain crossed for you too…in hopes you receive good news about the job today! What are you studying in school?

wolfgirl: Congrats on your recent losses. I hope you're now in better spirits and are able to enjoy your success.

Sum: Moving in the right direction…

Faye: My fingers are crossed for you too…but no late-night snacking and off to the gym with you!

junebug: You too are losing well in August…you'll be in the 140's before you know it. What did you learn about yourself in July?

GordenGirl: I hope you see some movement soon, but I like your attitude!

Ah, Lene...I just saw your post after I posted. Glad you're back. It sounds like you had a fabulous day with the family. I love hiking, and I haven't been berry picking since I was a young girl in England. No worries about the scales...just stay OP and those pounds will start flying off in a few days!

SW: 152.5/GW for August: 146
8/1: 152.5
8/2: 152
8/3: 150.5
8/4: 150
8/5: 151

Tuscany: I learned to let myself go sometimes and realize I am not really Superwoman and I can't do it all! I try it sometimes and thats when I get in trouble with my weight loss and eating plan. I took the end of July to refocus myself try to let go of the stress I was creating for myself. I also had to figure out why I was constantly fatigued 24/7. I have that pretty much straightened out so I'm feeling much better for August!

53+ inches lost

Good morning! It looks like overall people had a great weekend, art fairs, good interviews, hikes and berry picking (yum!)

Over the weekend I stayed OP, walked and swam on sat and hit the gym yesterday. But of course the silly scale wants to be stubborn and go the wrong way AGAIN *wags finger at scale* Meh! only thing it can be is water weight, my arms, shoulders and back are all sore from yesterdays weight training so today I will drink lots of water and hopefully be back to 250 or lower tomorrow!

8/1: 251.4
8/2: 250.6
8/3: 250.2
8/4: 251.4
8/5: 251.6

This morning I felt really bloated for whatever reason, so I was expecting the scale to read a not-so-nice number. But I had a pleasant surprise! Down 0.6 pounds I can't wait to see the 150s...it feels like so long since I've been there!

Tuscany, we must have been posting at the same time.

Obviously, I didn't proof read my last post. (We went hiking yesterday) I reply to posts via my iPhone which can be a little difficult. If you see misspellings and crazy wording please forgive me. I'm just too lazy to get on the desk top computer.
