For all the newbies joining this month, I encourage you to really stay involved in this challenge by posting regularly. Can you still make your goal without posting? Sure can! Is it as much fun? No way! Knowing I was not only holding myself accountable but that I needed to report back to my challenge buddies made me make wiser choices. Also, the support was there if I had a day of eating poorly or the scale hated me. Good luck to everyone! Let's embrace this clean slate and fresh start.
For those of you who don't know what meringue cookies are and you like to have sweets, take a look at them! LOW calorie and easy to make!! All they are is egg whites and sugar (or sugar substitute). I love these things!!
This month is my 12th anniversary, so I would like to lose 7 pounds by the end of August. I will reach my first goal of 'marriage weight'. I got married at 175.

I use 9 tbsp of egg beaters and 1/2 cup sugar gives me like 3 dozen. You just have to beat them longer to get them where they need to be. I make them in all these awesome colors!!
Turtle: I see you've started off like a greyhound again. Good for you. Keep it going! And your earlier prediction came true: I saw a 6 this morning...yeah!
Gardenerjoy: Sorry to hear you got a nasty surprise when you stepped on the scales, but 5.5 lbs is not the end of the world and you'll be able to quickly nip it in the bud with your newly-formed good habits.

My TOM just started and I need to note that on my weight progress for my own reference. Those fluctuating hormones and physiological changes really mess with my weight so I am trying to keep track of what happens. Sorry if it's too much info!
Tuscany and Pnkrckpixikat, it was a live Zumba class and yes I was completely uncoordinated! LOL! I took my daughters and my teenage nieces with me and we had a great time!
Pnkrckpixikat, from this moment on you will be shortened to Pixikat for me. Are you okay with that? I like to write personals and there's only so many hours in the day.

wolfgirl - awesome start ! Who cares if its water weight, as long as it stays off (and you stay hydrated!!)
Tuscany - You're consistant dropping amazes me, even at .25, or rather .5 today!
Lene - Zumba sounds so fun, I may have to look around at different gyms. I have to be honest; I'm slightly intimidated by them. Which is really absurd because I worked in one in college.
A tad discouraging that my second daily-in is UP instead of DOWN. I'm reminding myself that the scale number is simply data. In this case, the data may be saying nothing more profound than "soy sauce is salty."
