Thanks for the support RVAscreenwriter! Way to go gardenerjoy! It's amazing what a couple of solid days of exercise can do for us physically and emotionally.

Everyone keep moving...we're almost there!

Mar 26: 2 mile run

26 out of 30 miles

RVAscreenwriter 03-27-2013 09:06 AM

I met my goal for my week three of the challenge, but I AM TIRED. I pushed myself particularly hard, yesterday. I'm running out of time, I guess, and the last part of the zipper for my wedding gown is snug. I don't want to have to let it out! SIGH. 18 days until my wedding. I don't know that exercise can get my back circumference down by another half inch by then, or make my arms look just a wee bit better in strapless, but I'm trying. In a way, I can't wait until it's over, so that I can refocus on just living healthfully and meeting my goals over time without so much pressure from myself!

Sorry for the rant.

03/24 - 25m kettlebells/10m pilates
03/25 - 20m kettlebells/8m pilates
03/26 - 25m kettlebells/15m pilates

Since my goal is 4 kettlebell workouts per week, over the next days to close out March, I am aiming for 3.

Mar 29: 1.5 mile trot
It's the first time in MONTHS that I have fizzled and could not run two miles without stopping! Maybe because I ran in the morning. I'm just so stiff in the monrings and usually run in the evening.

27.5 out of 30

March exercise GOAL MET

Friday, March 29: 3 mile run GOAL MET:carrot::carrot: I had 2.34 miles remaining so I'm pleased that I could work in a few more steps.

Way to go, Curvy! Hooray!

I have 2.5 miles left to run to meet my goal, and I hope I get it done tomorrow in one session.

Thanks, Tabbycat! You'll make it-no doubts there! One of the things I've always been impressed with is that you are a consistent runner. I read your previous post and I know all too well what's it like when your schedule is off for whatever reason. Heck, even when my schedule is optimal there are times I struggle and that's when I realize that running (maybe all exercise that one has set standards and/or goals) is very much mental.

RVAscreenwriter, congratulations on your impending wedding! How beautiful! Congratulations on meeting your goals. I think you are in the right head space in planning out your long-term fitness and health goals. Indeed, the pressure we put on ourselves is much more intense and critical than any we could receive from the outside.

RVA - Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I'm amazed by your workouts and am sure you'll be beautiful in your dress!

I reached 1215 minutes and met my goal of 1200 for the month. I still plan on at least 30 minutes per day for the next 2 days. Maybe next month I'll bump my goal up to 1400 minutes!

Tabbycat 03-30-2013 10:10 AM

Tabbycat here.

I met my goal! :)

Mar 30: 3 mile run

30.5 out of 30 miles

I decided if Curvy could do it, so could I. I ran in the morning again, but instead of rolling right out of bed into the street, I had my coffee and waited an hour before I ran. Much better for the stomach! I was still struggling toward the end, but finished in 37:30.

RVAscreenwriter 03-30-2013 11:37 AM

Thanks, curvynotlumpy and immaculate! You too did SO well, this month! Today's my cardio day, but tomorrow I'm gonna kettlebell it up and meet my goal for the month. It's a testament to 3FC and forum participants that I even stayed so dedicated to the goal... Seriously, for me, even a wedding isn't enough of a motivation.

Great job meeting your goal, too, Tabbycat!
