Is anyone else in Weight Watchers? They weigh us (I'm doing this with a roommate) every Thursday and so far have lost 22 pounds since starting in January
I'm doing WW, on my own. I lost 21.8 pounds the first month (277.8 down to 256) but I've yo-yoed between 257.6 and 254.6 ever since. Started on January 28th. Was at 256 on Feb. 28th and I am 255.6 today (that's up a pound since yesterday). About to get REALLY discouraged!
Welcome Caligirl80! What's your goal for the rest of March? There will be another thread each month, so you can keep tracking here all the way to your goal weight.
jillbean: I plateaued every 20 pounds on the way down -- and I didn't lose my first 20 nearly as quick as you did. Your body may be insisting on a break. After a few weeks, if it didn't start moving, I'd make a small change -- take out a snack or reduce the serving size of my cereal from 1/2 cup to 1/3 of a cup. That usually got things going again. Sometimes I made a big change -- trying a whole new plan -- because I'm easily bored and it amused me to learn something new.
I've been out of town so no weight to report. I anticipate it will be up tomorrow. I'm going to try the suggestion I just gave jillbean -- reducing my cereal serving -- to get off the weekend vacation weight.
Wow! It sounds like almost everyone is doing great! So many of you have already met your goals or are soooo close! Great job everyone!
I'm way up right now, but it's TOM, so I'm trying not to let my current weight bother me too much. I know I've been on point with my exercise & my eatings been reasonably good, so as long as I keep it up I should see a steady decrease over the next few days. Keep your fingers crossed for me will ya?

Jillbean, looks like you're finally getting past that plateau -- woohoo!
And ophelia, 11lbs this month so far!! You must be working incredibly hard. It's fantastic when it all comes together and you can see real progress.
KimL, at least you're going the right direction. Some months are slower than others, but so long as the pounds are coming off it's still a win.
Me, I've lost almost 14lbs since the start of the year, but I'm still not seeing much change in the mirror or in how my clothes fit. It's discouraging -- my scale's giving me good numbers but it's hard to really believe it until I see it in my body. Soon, I hope.
