It's been a while, glad to see you're all still posting. Need to get back to weight loss! Life is flying by, Darcy just turned 1 and the boys are growing like weeds. Still right around 180 so it's time to get down to it and lose the cumulative 'baby' weight. Glad to be back ladies - I'll try and catch up on the personals tonight
mindy 1lb is great! I log everything onto livestrong. It really helps me be accountable.
Had a great weekend hiking and rock climbing! Need to step up training because my dad surprised me by getting us permits for the sierras in a few weeks. So I'll be backpacking, mountaineering, hiking, and rock climbing for 7 days straight. I'm kind of scared but I'm trying to look at it like a "fat camp" situation hahaha What's most scary though is this weekend was the first time I've been able to do a difficult hike followed by a day of climbing. And today I am sore. I don't know how I'm going to manage so many days in a row....

Dott- WOW!! sounds amazing. I like that kind of stuff. We did a lot of hiking and climbing on our vacation. Not all day or anything but it was fun.
Emi- Welcome back.
Well at least the pound stayed off today...that's a good thing. My allergies are driving me insane. I think I may be getting a sinus infection now too. Gonna be 102 here today. I am going to try and workout inside...soon. Hopefully my nose will cooperate.
mindy ugh sorry about the allergies, I also struggle with allergies. Hey, that's awesome the lb is staying off!
Ugh the scale is being STUPID Grrr....I've been perfect and did all that exercise and.....no difference. Sigh. But my measurements are going down at least. I'm thinking of doing weight training again. I did it for a few months when I first started, but the results were really slow and I've been much happier with my results from my cardio/endurance regimen. What do you guys think? Start the weight lifting again????

D-another day to watch your body shrink
Did a 30 minute cardio and a good deal of arms yesterday. My arm workout is really my physical therapy for my shoulder, but WOW!! Took off a few ounces today. This is really a struggle. Being home all day is not helping.
Dott- Weights, strength training..YES!!
Thunderstorms today. Hopefully that will help out my allergies a bit. Plus we need the rain.
Squeaked out a few more ounces today on the scale. I had therapy for shoulder yesterday. It is amazing how much you can sweat just working your arms. WOW!!
Yesterday was my sons BD so we went to a chinese buffet. I guess I didnt do too bad. Was hoping to get in a walk this morning since it is cooler. I just need the rain to stop.
Thanks for the welcome back everyone It's TOM right now but I'm still doing well, trying to figure out how to incorporate some exercise into my routine; time to myself these days is virtually nonexistent. I'll take an official 'start' weight tomorrow...
Mindy - sorry your allergies are acting up, we definitely need the rain though. Looks like we're in for a couple days of thunderstorms here in PA.
Dott - your hiking trips sound amazing! My DH and I love to hike but with the three little ones we can only do short, easy trails - can't wait till they get older and we can hit the difficult ones again.
Mavis - thanks for the warm welcome back, hope all is well
mindy all those ounces add up so great job! And good job on doing good at the buffet too!
emi awe that will be so awesome when your whole family can do big hikes together. I actually do all my hiking with my dad! Its great bonding time
mavis hope your week has been good!
Did the San Jacinto peak hike today again(its my 3rd time in the last 2 months, I'm going to try doing it every week from now on) ugh its a killer, 12 miles, and elevation from 8500 to 10800, but managed to do it in 5 hours! Which is a whole hour less then the first two times! yay
Dott- WOW!! 12 miles in 5 hours. that is a long hike. We did 5 miles when we were on vacation and thought that was alot. We haven't really done any day hikes though..just an hour or two here and there. We want to go ride some trails around here but haven't managed to get the bikes out. Been busy with some yard work.
mindy I've had to work up to those miles and hours! haha I've never been mountain biking its sounds like fun though Yay! I'm sure you'll be 185 in less then a week!
So the scale is being psycho of course I did 12 hours of hiking this week, which is the most hiking I've ever done in a week so its like the most intense week of exercise I've had(I've done more hours, but not of as intensive). So I'm pretty sure its water retention from muscle repair. Still super super annoying. I just look back on the last week on livestrong and its like....perfect. Ugh!
Anyways, including a pic of where I hiked to last two days. Wellman's divide, 9700ft

D-If you keep doing what you're doing, you WILL get smaller!
mavis Thanks! Glad you were able to get a run in, hope you'll be able to go hiking soon!
Scale still being completely psycho. Yesterday ate at my maintenance cals since I thought maybe I've been under eating or something. And today....the same. Ugh!
