    Hello everyone!
    I'm new to the challenge but I love the support that I'm reading. I hope its okay that I join in too. I'm currently 213 and my March goal is 205. I'm beginning the bead diet and looking forward to the results!
  • Hi Mar, welcome! You are so close to Onederland!!!! I'm jealous, lol.

    chickadee -- holy crap, you're only a pound away from your goal. That is amazing. Just freaking amazing!

    And normally 3 pounds would be normal, or a fluctuation between 2 to 5 pounds a week, but in 8 days I have lost 9 pounds?!? That is the part that is really weird. I thought perhaps my fiance was playing with the scale to mess with me, lol. But he wasn't. So then I expect the scale to go back up again the next day...so I'm afraid to weigh myself and when I finally get the nerve a few days later, it's down ANOTHER 2 to 3 pounds. So, like I said -- not complaining, but sure is weird! And if sprinting is all it takes, man I'm never going to stop, lol. Upped my sprinting to 2 minutes today, and usually I just do it for 45 seconds. Apparently the scale moving down is motivation for anything!

    Oh, and I should mention: I'm finally getting married! I've been engaged now for over 5 years. The night he proposed I got pregnant, so after we found out, we decided to wait until after that baby arrived. Then after daughter was born, it never happened. So finally (5 years later!) we've set the date (July 28th) and reserved the place. I bought a brand new dress at a thrift shop a few years back for $1. It still had the original price tag on it! It is a size 13, and when I bought it was last time I lost weight, and I could almost squeeze into it. So now that is my goal. By July 28th I want to fit into that dress and look good!

    on the losses!! Too funny, I can usually almost tell if I've lost weight or not by the very scientific method of how much I pee. LOL So love those days when it feels like a lot more came out than water/etc I took in.

    I am dancing around 144 lbs. Today scale shows 145 and I really dont see any reason because I worked a lot last 2 days (eat a lot too but not enough to gain one lb back)

    jessica: Congratulations!!! That's so exciting that you've set a date!! You are going to look STUNNING in that dress by July - I can't wait to see the photos!

    Daug: LOL, me too! Even by the WAY I pee, lol. So weird, but it's definitely different - I know when it's my body shedding water vs. just the normal.

    PrincessSophia: Thank you! And when the scale jumps up like that, I always chalk it up to water weight - because it usually is just that, due to one thing or another. If you're not eating over maintenance calories, then you're not gaining fat.


    On a whim my friend and I went shopping at the outlet mall today, and though I wasn't planning on getting anything I ended up buying a gorgeous dress from the Elie Tahari outlet. I don't have an event to wear it to, and it's definitely a warm weather dress, and it cost more than I would ever normally spend on a dress... but I just couldn't not buy it (and I'm never like that!). It just fit so well, and it felt so good to see how I looked in it... so I decided it was my gift to myself for the weight loss. And when I hit my original goal, that's the dress I'll take the photo of myself in. And then at some point I'll try to find an occasion on which to actually wear it!

And it looks very different on me than on the model - I bought a size small (which was weird in and of itself, but there is definitely some vanity sizing going on with their clothes) and so it's much more fitted on me... but I actually think it looks better on me than it does on the model, lol. If a dress hung on me that much it would not be very flattering!

  • chickadee, that's a beautiful dress! I look forward to seeing the picture of you wearing it.

    After tax season, I'm going to need new clothes. I asked our one female partner to go shopping with me. She recently lost a lot of weight and looks fabulous, and she dresses really nicely. More stylish/expensive than what I'm looking for, but I'm hoping she can help me figure out what looks good on me.

    And, after working out tonight, the scale said 149.6 - eek! I know it will go up tomorrow but it was nice to see.

    So I am super excited about getting through this next week and seeing my weight drop I isn't it funny how once your mind is set you can really do about anything. Gym and shakes are really the way to go for right now come on ladies! We can bang out this month and get down to slimmer more beautiful ladies!

    That is My wedding anniversary date! Great day!!!!! It will be 12 yrs of marriage for the hubster and I this year Congrats!!!!
  • So my starting weight for this challenge was 259.6. My official weighin is on Tuesday so I will update then just wanted to post about some potentially heartbreaking news. I have been in pain since last Wednesday which prompted me to go to the doctor on Saturday. Likely a burst cyst effect on my fertility is unknown until an ultrasound later in the week. I know I'm new here but was hoping for some prayers abs positive energy to be sent my way!

  • Hey Everyone... I know I am a little late but I would love to join this challenge as well. My goal for the month of March is to reach 210 pounds. Currently, I am 218. So... 8 pounds for the month of March.
