AJ - So sorry about your loss, I know the ceremony will be beautiful Saturday. I am sure you and your husband are a tremendous help and comfort to the family right now. Remember that at the grocers there, you can pick up some healthy snacks to help while you are around the 'unhealthy' stuff.........;-)

Lindy - Yumm Lemonade. Yes, I am sure you won't want the stuff after this month......lol. I am glad it is going good for you......just please be careful and listen to 'any' body signs that you many need other nutrients. Major congrates on your weight loss and size 10!!!!!!! Wooo Hoooo and a Hooyah too!

Neesy - You go girl and enjoy your three days off.........much rest and relaxation with a HUGE workout in the middle! LOL.......:-) I am so proud of you, as your husband will be too!

Maddiesmom - Those days of your body wanting more nutrients happen, just stay strong and possibly a workout will help your body fight the 'urge.' You are doing so awesome - keep it up!

Dance - You rock! I can just see the 170's on Sunday! You are such an inspiration to all of us, and are so consitent.........keep it going! Thanks for always being there for me ;-) Hey, how was the run this morning?

Burgund - Come on girl and catch up to me, I need the competition! LOL....I know you can do this, and if you get back with Jillian's meeting you will probably surpass me! I am proud of you kicking it right back in after vacation!

Ok, boy did I over sleep - work up at 12 noon!!!! I couldn't believe it when I looked at my cell phone!! My body was tired I guess from just getting 4 hours of sleep the night before, doing my 3 mile workout, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning, then running around with my daughter.......I was pooped ;-) I had all intentions of working out today, and maybe I can still get on in later. If the rain stops - maybe a swim if the pool is warm.

On another note, my husband is down another pound! Yes. Since I took over his food the last 3 days he is down 3 lbs. So, hopefully he will let me continue.

Have a great day1

Lindy-I am amazed at your commitment to this cleanse. I dont know if I can ever do it. I like food too much. 180, you are on a roll and a size 10. I cant wait to get there.

Dance-I did the same thing last night, went to bed early. I was just super hungry.

Maddiesmom-I have been the same way, hungry hungry. SO I have been keeping myself busy so I stay out of the kitchen. Good luck at WW tomorrow.

Mygrits-you are a busy lady. Congrats to your husband on the 3 lbs. Get that workout in, even if its just one of your mini ones.

Went to the farm market today and got watermelon, cantaloupe, apricots, plums, garlic, squash, corn and green beans. I have the green beans on cooking now. They smell yummy. I was so happy to get on the scale this morning and see 217. I more lb. I am hoping to be at 215 or lower sunday. We are going out of town tomorrow and I wanted to have lunch at the mexican restaurant, but I have talked myself out of it. Instead we are going to get a rotisserie chicken and take it back to the motel. It feels so good to make better choices. I need to get up and start dinner. Having baked chicken and green beans. Simple meal tonight.

Aargh - just lost a super long post and don't think I can type it all again Here's a quick summary:

Burgundy - great choices at the farmer's market and congrats on the losing streak! You are doing great and I'm so impressed!

mygrits - amazing job on changing your hubby's diet - that's really tricky stuff and you're succeeding! I bet it will make it easier for you to stick to plan too to have less temptations around : )

maddiesmom - totally hear you on those starving days but sounds like you are well prepared with a plan to succeed at your weigh-in.

hotsplashes - hope you're over the bug and back in action!

Doing okay here - need to go walk some stairs as I didn't have time for a real workout. Will run again tomorrow and am kind of looking forward to it. Did well on food yesterday (under 1400) and am shooting for a lean 1200 today (chicken, broccoli and fruit for dinner). I so need the scale to be a real 170 instead of a sort-of fake, only when you're leaning slightly 170 : )

Hi girls...

Well, the cleanse has kicked in today and my body is feeling it. They said the side affects on Day 3 and 4 were the worst and Im trending to agree. That being said, I had gone home early today and went and took a nap bc I had a rough night last night (beause of family issues, not bc of cleanse) and so, I woke up from my nap with a MASSIVE headache. I couldnt get my body going, so I gave in and had a boiled egg...I know, a boiled egg shouldnt be "giving in", but your not supposed to eat anything...this cleanse is not for weight loss for to release your toxins. Anyway...hopefully it doesnt affect me too much. I appreciate hearing all your support and kudos, lets see how the rest of the week goes.

Mygrits- this is awesome news about Bubba...doesnt it frustrate the heck out of you though how easy it is for the weight to come off them.

Maddiesmom-how did you get through the rest of the day?

Lindy: didn't do to badly for the rest of the day...had some low-fat string cheese at 3:00, and now getting ready for dinner (probably a Lean Cuisine) fast and easy since I want to spend time with Maddie before she goes down for the night and I go to the gym. Hope you're feeling better.

This is probably going to be it for me until tomorrow, busy night ahead.

Hey. Just got home from.. yes.. Work! I forgot I had an overtime shift today. Oh well. It went good and my check will look great. So.. I can't complain. I'm gonna eat a lean cuisine for dinner again tonight. That's pretty much all I eat nowadays because it's just me.. fast and simple. I like them too. I don't feel deprived. I got a bunch of single packs of the frozen microwave veggies too and I mix it with my lean cuisine. Not too bad. I'm still on the diet soda fix but I can't help that yet. I do drink a lot of water especially when I'm working out. So I didn't get to go to the gym today. I was all set to go and then my work called me. I had completely forgot about it. They called to ask if I wanted my overtime or not. I was good and said yes. My husband would be proud.

I'll talk to you girls tomorrow! Goodnight!

Burgund - Your food sounds really delicious. I love all your pics from the market.......making me drool here! Your doing well with your healthy foods, and your body will thank you! Stay on it and you WILL see 215!

Dance - I know what you mean about losing long, typed posts - I HATE that when it happens........soooo aggravating! I too am looking forward to my workout tomorrow. Got majorly rained out today, and then busy with kids this evening, so I got no workout in....Grrrrr.

Lindy - Yes, very aggravating how fast men lose - so unfair! Sorry your feeling crappy, but it does sound like toxins. Usually when your 'weaning' yourself off process foods (chemicals, caffiene, sodium) one of the main symptons is massive headaches. It's almost like withdrawals (from addictions) that your body has. If you can sustain, you should be on the upswing in a couple of days. I hope you feel better in the morning and thanks for the kudos.

Neesy - Yes, you will LOVE your check! Good for you! I agree with the Lean Cuisines they are delicious and filling. I use to eat them all the time, and lost quite a bit of weight when doing so. I hope tomorrow is good! Try to get that workout in!

Well, today was busy and very rainy. I enjoyed having my daughter and her military friends here - they are so much fun. I am hungry, but refuse to eat - I will not eat!!!!! I am saying this to make myself listen........LOL..........

See you tomorrow ;-)

Neesy - can I just say...Im jealous that you are able to get OT, lol. Yes, Ive been jealous of you for other reasons but the OT can be added to my list. I cannot in any way, shape or form accrue any OT AT ALL...ever, lol. So...needless to say, I have som epretty pathetic checks - haha. So, you should be off today - right? Whats the exercise plan?

Mygrits - are you as sick of this rain as I am? Its like the movie Forest Gump, where it just rains..and rains...and rains...lol. Im supposed to go to Cocoa Beach this weekend, not sure how that is going to fly. Soooo...did you eat is the 100 million dollar question, lol. OH - and you are spot on with the headache. AND...lock clockwork, my tongue is getting the white pasty crap, not me...but my tongue, feels like um...when your coming down sick with the flu...like that funny pasty taste, I know...gross, lol. But..nonetheless...its a good sign.

Ok, so...I am really surprised girls. With the exception of yesterday afternoon, Im feeling pretty good. My energy is on the up and up and I have been able to stick with my normal exercise routine with no issues or lack of drive...so yay me. AND...my tummy is looking significantly flat. I took before pics and posted them on my blog, so I look forward to taking after pics because this is simply amazing that I am seeing this after only 4 days.

Ok, I have a crazy day at work, hopefully Ill be able to log in. Ill talk to you girls later.

Dance---what has you so quiet these days? Everything ok?

AND WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO TIFF?!

Good Morning Ladies!

So much goes on while I'm away!

Lindy Congrats on the size 10! Hope you are feeling better. Where does one find this cleanse info?

Mygrits, Good for you in helping Hubby! I am glad you are having a wonderful time with your daughter and her friends! Where is she stationed?

Burgundy, Good choices at the market! I go to the market every Tuesday, which works out for me because I have that day off from school this semester. Saturdays are the best day, more venders..but also really busy.

Dancer, Doesn't it always seem like a fight to break out a specific weight number? Like going from the 80s down to the 70s and now down to the 60s? And it's always that fluctuating 1lb. YOu can do it!!!

MaddiesMom, You always seem to have evrything so well scheduled! Wanna be my personal day planner?lol How did the workout at the gym go?

Neesy, Good girl on accepting the OT! Not alot of companies are offering it anymore!

Already have 30oz of water in. Breakfast is oatmeal and a peach and a yogurt. Exercise today is house cleaning and walking the dogs. I really need to start planning my days better. Especially now with school. Not going to the market today as I picked 2 zuchinni's from garden, 4 big onions, and lot of tomatoes. I got nearly 2 dozen purple and yellow carrots yesterday too!! Very few of my sweet peppers made it this summer. Just too cold and rainy. But my hots are over producing....go figger.

OK...off to start laundry!!

Morning, girls! Couldn't fall asleep until really late last night so am trying to gear up the energy to get out the door for a 30 min run. Can't face the idea of anything longer at the moment. As it got later last night, I started to get the munchies which was bad - haven't added everything up yet but I know it wasn't the 1200 I wanted Will try to fix that today.

Lindy - I was in a pretty much all day meeting yesterday then had a volunteer thing for a chunk of the evening so was away from my computer a lot but I'm working from home today and tomorrow so should be around more : ) So glad you're doing okay and I think adding the egg was a good idea. You have such will-power - I'm very impressed!

hotsplashes - love the idea of your wild-colored carrots! Sounds like you have a good plan for the day!

mygrits - how did you do on the resisting temptations yesterday? And did you fit in your workout? You will be a beautiful mother of the bride!

neesy - good for you on the food choices and extra large check!

Phew - back from an hour-long run - once I got started, I felt so much faster and stronger than I used to back when I started this whole weight loss thing in May that I just kept on going and going and going ala energizer bunny Am going to shoot for 5.6 miles tomorrow, barring unforeseen disasters.

Lindy - I'm drinking crystal light lemonade (no cayenne, maple, etc) in solidarity with you today

I've probably posted this link a few times now but for some reason, re-reading this article gets me motivated so I'll put it up again in case it hits anyone else at a good time.http://www.oprah.com/article/omagazi...omag-beck-diet Anyone else have any sources of inspiration to share?

ps - decent news on the scale front - the scale shows 171 (standing up perfectly straight) so I'm thinking I can get to the real 170 by this weekend - with your help, that is!

Hotsplashes- that is so cool that you do so well with gardening...for me, it is an absolute joke. You really do need a "green thumb" to be successful, that I dont have, lol. Wow...thats quite a bit of water consumption for so early on in the day - kudos to you. As far as the cleanse, details of the cleanse are on my blog, but if you goolge Master Cleanse, you'll get good and bad reviews and then you can judge for yourself what you think. Its not easy but I consider this a personal challenge, to see if I have the will power and where I stand right now...I KNOW I can do this. Furthermore, although I know its not healthy...I LOVE seeing the scale go down...down...down. I am expecting to gain about 6 pounds back automatically, but Im ok with that. Thats to be expected, the way body is feeling is just reward enough.

Dance - thanks for the accolades. Having you ladies cheer me on always makes me feel good and accoubtable. I told myself, I was going to listen to my body and yesterday...my body said "Give me some darn protein, lol" So I did and it worked and I feel like a champion today. Your running is quite impressive, I can only imagine the weight you are losing and how toned your legs are getting from running so much, especially where you live...there are probably a lot of hills, no? AND---HAPPY DANCE (cabbage patch, running man, roger rabbit...lol, for you!) You WILL see the scale at 170 this weekend, heck..you have 3 more days, you might even see it at 169 if you keep up that running schedule, lol. I really do believe all the gym time in the world does not compensate for a good run on the pavement. Thats where I feel my legs have shaped up so nicely, from running, not from weights (well, most of it that is).

I hope AJ is holding up ok and getting through her traveling obstacles.

Ill check in later...hope everyone else is having a "skinny day".

OH - DANCE - I cannot view the link you provided at work, but Ill have to check it out tonight when I get home. On a separate note, and this is majorly corny, but what motivates me is a pic of Reese Witherspoon, it kinda looks like a shrine, lol...but she is ideally where I would like to be in weight and our height is not that far from each other.

Lindy - Reese seems like a great role model - fit, trim and healthy! running seems to be the fastest way for me personally to drop weight but I sure admire you guys that are working to build muscles at the same time - especially since that means you burn more calories the rest of the day, right? Have you seen a big change in your muscle tone?

I think one of the things I'm happiest about with this process has been seeing the change in my waist measurement. There are some studies that say your risk for certain diseases (I think diabetes and heart problems) is higher if your waist (as a woman) is more than 35" (I think for guys it's 40"). I tend to carry the vast majority of my weight in my tummy and my arms and legs are normalish - hence my issue with people thinking I'm pregnant when I'm not, etc. I first measured my waist once I started the process and it was 39" in late May after a few weeks on plan and is now 34" - I'm not going to win any hourglass figure competitions any time soon but at least it's progress. My bf wears 32w36l jeans frustratingly but one of these days I'll zoom right on by him. So just a thought - if you haven't been tracking your waist measurement, jot it down somewhere or keep it in a spreadsheet or on thedailyplate so you can track it as another NSV and health improvement goal... Okay - am majorly procrastinating - I have to write at least 3 more sections of this report before I'm allowed to come back here

Dancer: I too measured myself when I first started to lose weight in January. There is a noticeable difference. I'm not sure if it's the same for the other "mothers" out there, but having my daughter has made my waist kinda "mushy" and flabby. The flab was there before, but after a c-section, I'm not sure if something else happens as well? Who knows...but what I do know is that I'm losing inches, so that's a bonus.

Splashes: Thanks for the kudos...I'm a major planner, have things scheduled in advance, etc. and I think it's gone into high gear since I am trying to have time for myself to work out as well as balance work, family, etc. I've always been this way. Send me your schedule, I'll find time for you! LOL

Today was a good day! 2.2 pounds down at WW, and I have 3 more days before our weigh in, so watch out ladies!! Here's my food today:

Breakfast: sweet and salty bar
Lunch: turkey burger on Arnold flatbread with lettuce, tomato, pickle and cheese (gotta love leftovers) and some Baked Lays BBQ chips (1 serving - 14 chips), and water. I'm stuffed right now, but I have fruit as a backup plan just in case!

Went to the gym last night, Hott Trainer was there. I was on the dreaded stairclimber and he came by to see how I was doing (he had another client as well). That's some motivation! So, it was the stairclimber for 20 min, rowing machine (which I actually like) for 10...did 1,700 meters, and then the treadmill for 15 minutes. Then I went home and did some sit ups with a medicine ball and lifted some freeweights. Not too shabby. Today is my day off from the gym, then I'll probably go Fri, Sat, and Sun. I'll probably go during the day on Monday as well since I don't have to work.

How is everyone else doing?
