I am not into high impact either, so I think the Active provides enough of that for me. I still have to jog and jump and I feel sorry for my neighbours downstairs on those days (if I don't really jump the Active does catch up on it).
I have my settings for a medium intensity workout with the balance board enhancement and I am doing the 30 day challenge.
I do agree that the dancing is a little silly, but I've only had it for warm up or cool down, so no big deal.
There have been some relatively easy days where I didn't break a sweat and on those days I have added an extra workout. However, as I've progressed the intensity on the workouts has also progressed to the point where I have been actually dripping sweat on a couple of occasions.
Like I mentioned on an earlier post, I did have to go and buy a different elastic band because the one included with the game was not giving me enough resistance. I might even add dumbells to the bicep workout (but that has always been an issue with me where it seems like my biceps are always stronger than the rest of my body LOL).
Today I reached the half way point in the 30 day challenge and I got a video telling me that now the intensity is going to be bumped up even more, so I will be happy to come and share how that goes with you.

June 1: EA Active Workout 22 min. + 30 min free step = 52 min.
June 2: EA Active Workout 24 min. + 30 min. walk = 54 min.
June 3: WL Yoga and abs = 45 min.
June 4: EA Active 24 min.
June 5: rest
June 6: EA Active 28 min.
June 7: 0

June 8: EA Active 25 min.
June 9: EA Active 34 min. + 30 min. Walk = 64 min.

Oh and Glutio: Make sure you are stretching after the workout! I tend to forget and I definitely feel it more on my muscles on those days.
IMO that's the only thing lacking in the Active. a good stretching routine or at least a reminder to do it after finishing.

Hi girlssssssss, I came in here first this time otherwise I would never post my minutes! lol :) I think I will start alternating threads from now on.

Newshinyme, I have been researching the EA. I found some websites a few nights ago that showed video of it and I got to see the screen and some of the workouts, I am very interested in getting it. I read a lot of reviews and many say they get a great workout. I am ready for some more diversity, wish I had gotten it earlier to do it with you. I will be looking for it soon when I get up by that way. Your doing great, keep up the good work :).

I love coming home from the gym and getting to post here. It makes me more motivated. Today I decided I would do 4 miles on the elliptical. Then at about 2 miles, I convinced myself that I would only do 3. At about 2.8, I remembered my June goal and decided to do all or nothing. I love the extra push I get from this. Hope you all had a great day!

June 9~ 4 miles on elliptical

Delphi- Someone on the exercise forum was asking about My Fitness Coach. There were no replies and I remembered that you use it, so I told them that you use it. Just FYI incase they ask you about it.

Jacqui- My iPod was just out of battery. It was up and working for today's workout. Thanks for the concern!

Newshinyme 06-09-2009 06:06 PM

FSA: That'd be so cool if you got it. And no worries about not getting it earlier. Once I am done with this 30 day challenge I will be doing it again, maybe with a higher intensity. So we can do it together then!

Pas de Chaton 06-09-2009 06:09 PM

Week 1 - Goal Met
Week 2:
June 8 - 2 walks, 30 minutes workout - Goal met
June 9 - 1 walk at the park, 40 minutes workout - Goal met

Delphi & Newshinyme: Does the EA Active workout also make changes based on your responses to questions, like the MFC does? For example, if I say the last segment was easy, Maya will say she'll make it a little more challenging the next time. Now, whether she really does or not I don't know, but I like that part of the program.

I am so glad it's over!!! I just tried to move things to the garage or the basement and try to keep it all in one spot until the day before. Good luck!!!

Nope! You can manually increase the intensity, but I saw no difference. :( And unless you plan on resetting your custom workout, you will get the same workout, in the same order every time. It isn't like the MFC, where you never do the same routine twice. It has preset workouts and then of course the customization. So you can pick and choose what you want to do per each workout, even the preset ones, though I didn't see an option to where you could customize preset workouts.

Pas, I can definitely tell the difference when I tell the MFC it was "No Sweat"...the difficulty is increased via reps and the length of cool down periods. Plus the addition of extra workouts. I actually have all the equipment for the workouts, so I like the diversity every time, with the different items...especially integrating my step.

Jacque9999 06-09-2009 08:37 PM

Delphi I don't know what MFC is
