Jacque ~ I'm thrilled you guys had a good time and there were no altercations. ;) Now, does this mean we are meeting at your place for a barbecue? ;)

SupaChix ~ You tell Brea to hang in there and :congrat: on losing that pound! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

Gekster ~ Don't be too hard on yourself. At least you are going to get back on the horse. Just keep moving forward chicky! :)

canadianangel
~ Awe  doesn't that just make your day though. Those little things from our children are the most precious and really can impact us tremendously. My oldest, understands how hard I'm working and there isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't tell me I look great or how proud he is of me. I am so proud of him!

Lewisempire 06-05-2009 07:31 PM

Wow, girls we will be needing a new thread soon!!!
Anyhow, like I said on the exercise thread, I am feeling better, thank goodness! I did have time to post some of my Disney Cruise pics on facebook
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?...6609785&ref=nf I hope that works!!!

Jaqui- you are one lucky/gutsy woman! Glad it turned out all good! You did have me lauging when I read them beating each other up! LOL

Superchix-YAY!!!! WTG! keep it up!

Gekster- good for you for keeping at it! It is all about consistancy, and doing better in the long run. We make things happen when we keep taking steps in the right direction. so yay for you!!!

Canadianangel! I almost started crying with you girl! That was so wonderful your daughter notices, and appreciates your progress! Kids are so honest with their love and their comments. My niece (4yo) calls my legs "Crunchy" (cellulite) But told me on the cruise they were getting better. That was a huge complement in my mind, because I know she wouldn't say it if it weren't true. Makes you really want to dig in and be POP!!!

Yikes dinner is about to boil over...BRB

Delphi 06-05-2009 07:37 PM

LE ~ I couldn't see your pictures so I sent you a friend request on facebook!

Lewisempire 06-05-2009 07:53 PM

Ok, Delphi, you are in. I am new to facebook, and haven't figured all the stuff out yet. Do you know how I can change/fix it so everyone can see the pics if they want to? If not I guess i will just get a bunch of new friends!!!

Delphi 06-05-2009 07:57 PM

Le ~ Well you can't share the link if they are for friends only, but I think there is a code, that says "share this with public link" at the bottom of the photo. Or you can just set that album to "anyone" and then that should work. By the way ALL those pictures are great. You look soooooo HAPPY and beautiful. :)

EDIT: Well ladies I wont be making my eat 1200 calories a day goal. I just couldn't get there today. I've just felt horrible and really not at all hungry. I topped out at 965 calories today. :( But hey, I still try to hit that target even if I can't make the goal now. :)

FullSteamAhead 06-05-2009 08:11 PM

Hi girls, checking in. I can't beleive how fast the day is going. I went to the market for a few things, more DD's (domestic duties) and as of a short time ago finally quit for the night! IT's relax time for me now.

Jacqui, I honestly really am a bit at a loss of words (unusual for a :blah::blah::blah: like me, lol) Your kind words really touched me and I want to say thanks too  OH you, and you have been, and are, so supportive and encouraging to all and I am so glad we crossed paths and are embarking on this journey together. Hope you plan on sticking around a loooooong time because this place just wouldn't be the same without you. I'll hound you! Congratulations once again sweet lady and for the kind words but ultimately it is through your strength and determination and oh what more can I say........:bravo:

Delphi, glad your feeling better : ).

SusieQ, your sw :) YIkes, that must be hard on those nights you get home and can't eat until then. That's why I like to plan my menu out 2 or days in advance to avoid such pitfalls because if I don't know what I'm having and I get too hungry my mind starts to wander on take out! I have a few frozen dinners on hand for when I don't feel good or we end up coming back late or whatever the case may be. Some woman cook and freeze meals for later, honestly........I would eat it all, lol! When I first start (even now really) I can eat all the fruit, veggies, chicken, fish, and turkey I want (even eggs) worry free without having to measure portions. When I start suzy, I don't measure the fish or chicken, I eat as much as i want along with a salad. Over time, naturally we begin to need less portions as we start cutting back. Beef I could only ideally do once or twice a week because of the high cal and fat content and carbs (bread, pasta , potatoes, ) as well as cheese just nails me so I really have to limit those. When I cut that stuff or kee p it to aminimum I lose weight! I was keeping a journal but slacked off!!!!! Oh and it helped me so much because at the end of the week I would put what I lost, gained, etc and I could look back and see what my menu was and what hindered or helped me. I highly suggest it. If your up to it sometime or wanting to try something new, consider doing all fruits, veggies (no butter but can use some I can't beleive its not butter spray and or garlic powder, lemon, etc) and fish (baked, or tuna w/low fat mayo) chicken (white meat , no skin), and turkey (white, no skin), no potatoes or pasta and about 1 or 2 slices whole wheat bread per day or a pita bread , limited cheese (kraft f.f yellow slices are great though high in sodium). Okayyyyy, I am getting carried away, I'm sorry :) Honestly though, it has helped me to get started and I jsut wanted to share. We are always learning and sharing here and the more the merrier. Ihave learned many tips from the girls. Just keep it in mind because the things mentioned above are naturally fairly low in calories and you can get away with eating quite a bit of them and still lose weight! :) have a wonderful weekend too!

Supachix, I think it is wonderful that Bre is taking art classes. COngrats on losing that lb. :carrot::carrot: Now that Bre hasn't been your ex. buddy recently, how are you doing? wtg on getting some workout days in there, I really think it helps so much in many ways....it sure does for me! Good luck on Bre's WI tomorrow. Keep up the good work and keep us posted :)

canadianangel, great story indeed! THanks for sharing :)

Gekster, your not lame! Don't do that to yourself please! Aw you, I hope you feel better. Keep us posted okay? It really is quite difficult to stay motivated when one is not feeling well. Don't beat yourself up for it, try and hang in there. I have a hard time focusing on anything other than feeling better when Im n ot feeling well. If not feeling good, as all we want is to feel better! Everything else falls by the wayside. Take care of yourself and keep in touch with us okay?

lookingtobehealthy, want to add a nother one to the list? HOw about thighs no longer shaffing or irritated skin whilst walking in a skirt in hot weather or the beach after a swim. lol Maybe too much info but believe you me, one day when you realize, h eyyyyyyyyyyyyy, I walked 90 minutes in a skirt in hot weather and ta daaaaaaa! lolol  Now there is a blessing. Amazing the things we see and notice that increase quality of living.......such as freaking bras and underwires not cutting anymore! and wooooooo hooooo panties, l ol! ;)

Jacquee, lollllll, your a wiseguy kiddo, lol :) I am too sometimes! aw it sounds like you all have a good relationship which is cool and it goes to show your the type of person one can be freinds with after. I must admit though, Like our Jacqui, I was curious too! Some men can be so possessive and jealous and would never be able to tolerate such a situation. Congrats on your new grill girl. How long is mom and Sophie staying?

FullSteamAhead 06-05-2009 08:20 PM

Delphi, hey babe! Just saw your updated post. IT's okay. Get some rest, tomorrow is a new day.

Delphi 06-05-2009 08:26 PM

FSA ~ Thanks dear! I'm starting to think it's the change up in my exercise routine. I'm doing so much more than I did last month that perhaps it is draining me. I'm glad I worked in Sunday's off. I'm probably gonna need it until my body and metabolism can readjust to this new routine.

FullSteamAhead 06-05-2009 08:36 PM

Delphi, yeah....sounds like a plan to me. Hey you? Do you get pay per view? would be a good night to watch that psychological thriller I've been telling you about..."the uninvited" lol :). Get some nice air blown popcorn and crunch crunch away, :) hugs chickie, talk soon

Delphi 06-05-2009 08:41 PM

FSA ~ Nah, no cable or nothing here. Good suggestion none the less. ;) I'll probably be heading to bed pretty soon anyways. You have yourself a great evening girly! :)

glutio 06-06-2009 12:24 AM

I mentioned the supplements before, and I managed to find two of the ones I wanted locally so I don't have to pay shipping yay!!

The one that previously made me sick is 5-HTP (5-Hydroxytriptophan) which is supposed to help with mood and appetite regulation. The one that made me sick did not have an enteric coating which allowed it to dissolve in my stomach and cause the sickness. I FINALLY found one with an enteric coating at Whole Foods. It also contains some B6 and vitamin C.

I also found the Citrimax with ChromeMate in a different brand with the same contents at the Vitamin Shoppe which is fortunately right across the street from the Whole Foods. It helps with diabetes prevention and insulin resistance as well as weight management.

These are just some of the supplements listed in the book I read. I'm going to try to go back through the book and make a little write-up about each of the supplements I read about and how they can help on my blog, hopefully tomorrow or Sunday, and I'll post a link to that or let everyone know in case you're interested!
