Jacqui ~ I wonder if I can revise my goal. One of them is to make sure I get a 1,000 calorie deficit everyday. Well on my days off, I am simply not going to do that. Without the extra activity my metabolism is way down today. A day of getting up late and laying around just doesn't add up to burning loads of calories. So, I don't think we have to revise it, rather just understand, that the deficit has to be there on all other days, minus Sundays? How was your eating schedule today? I went ahead and made today a higher calorie day, just cause. So eat pretty well today myself, even added a little ice cream in. It was yummy to. But I did throw the carton away when I was through, because I was afraid I'd eat another cone  Think I'll stick to my ice cream bars. ;)
NSM ~ Good luck with the house hunting and the weigh in, in the morning. :) leigh ~ Way to go on those dropped pounds! :cheer: Keep moving forward chicky and you will be in that t shirt soon. :) Odysseygurl ~ Hey, good luck on this week as well. |
Delphi, most certainly! You can make your goal anything you want it to be! I've eaten right on schedule today! :cp:

Hi everyone,
I hadn't been on my computer at all since Friday since my boyfriend was visiting for the weekend, and when I came back to it today I only had a few emails...but TEN PAGES of unread posts here! I spent over an hour reading and then decided that, with exams coming up the next two weeks, I really should not be spending that much time on the internet. Is it self-centered to still post even if I don't respond to everyone else? I'll still probably end up reading all the posts, since it won't take as long now that I'm caught up. Anyway, even after what you've all said about seeing drops after TOM, I was still a little shocked today when it happened to me...I weighed in first-thing in the morning at 155.2, right where I'd been for a whole week, and then when I randomly stepped on the scale later in the day, I was suddenly 153.8! And I hadn't even exercised yet...after running I was 153.0. I definitely didn't expect the end of TOM to be so decisive, but clearly my body knew the difference. I know some people limit their "weigh-ins," but I think it's interesting to see how it fluctuates throughout the day, as long as I don't obsess over it. Anyway I had just about given up hope on my June goal, but if these 153 numbers stick tomorrow, then the 140s will seem in reach by June 30th! I don't like to focus on the numbers on the scale as much as this post would indicate. I also had a great eating day and a long run, which felt so nice- I hadn't gone for a long one in a while. Delphi and all you early birds might be shocked to hear that my ideal exercise time is right after sunset, which was 9:45pm tonight! Needless to say I am not waking up before 4am...or even 11am! I guess it's pretty normal for a college student to be somewhat nocturnal. But we could be going to bed and waking up at the same time even though I'm on a European time zone! This weekend I made a cake for my boyfriend's birthday that may have actually been the most delicious chocolate cake I have ever tasted. Baked from scratch, with homemade chocolate frosting. I enjoyed my piece thoroughly last night (but ate slowly and left some on the plate, which was scooped up by the bf! woohoo) before doing some math and realizing that that indulgence set me back 418 calories. eek! I sent as much of the leftover home with him when he left today as I could, but there is still some on a plate in the kitchen and I have decided I won't touch it- so hopefully my flatmates will polish it off quickly. (Neither of them will gain weight...you know the type.) I can't throw it out, it's so good that it would just be too tragic, but I actually like having the temptation in front of me once I've set firm boundaries. Do you all get a little rush of strength from turning something down that you've decided you're better off without? |
HI girlsssssssssss  I need to head right to bed so waiting for morning to post, I'll be fine tomorrow and looking forward to writing and updating you on my news. Read all your news girls, keep up the good work :) and congratulations on the losses and the OP days and the jorney in general. Sleep well and we will catch up tomorrow.............the first day of our brand new week! :)

 Good Morning Ladies
Well I'm up and at again this morning and feeling all groovy! Dang if it doesn't feel good to take a day off, but man it feels sooooooooo much better, to get back to working out and my routine. Think I'm gonna try my best to stay as active as possible this week. Perhaps even start the EA Active this week. Though Glutio and others talking about so many lunges, I'm afraid I can't do it. My knees are so weak right now, granted they aren't as bad as when I first started, but I simply can not do the lunges right now. I can do squats, no problem, but lunges put sooooo much pressure on the knee, it is simply hard to do them. I'm really getting impatient about the elliptical. Now I don't want to wait until Christmas. Think I'm gonna get started even earlier this morning so I'll come back and do personals and all that jazz, in a few. It's my strength training and treadmill day so I'm pumped and ready to pump you up *done in my best terminator voice* You ladies take care, breathe easy, drink plenty of water, remember to smile, buckle up, use protection, carry your confidence, stop at stop signs, and most importantly, remember to love yourself...you are so worth it.'s to each and every one of you. Now, lets get through this week and blow the first week out of the water! :cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer: |
Susie GREAT JOB ON THE WEIGHTLOSS!!!:carrot: That's impressive!!!

Well, down 2 lbs for the week. Really expected more, being my first week back, but I starting backup at the gym, so hopefully it is muscle gain also. But I have another goal of getting to the gym every day except Wedesdays. I am going to do arobics class on tues and thurs and the rest is circuit traing.
Newshineyme, I love house hunting, how did it go? Congrats to all the losers this week |
:sunny: Good Morning Ladies!!! :sunny:
How is everyone on this, the first day of Week Two? :D I hope you're all doing wonderful and that you all had a fantastic weekend!!! Delphi~ Oh my heavens! You slept in!!! :bravo: I bet it felt strange huh? Well, I'm glad you took a day off to rest--you sound like you're feeling much better today!! :yay: I haven't opened the Wii Active yet--I'm going to today to see what it's all about. I think Glutio is doing the 30 Day Challenge on there, but there are tons of workouts--I bet you'll find one that doesn't include lunges. I'm with ya on those. It's one of the reasons I gave up the 30 Day Shred--with one bum knee already, I'm just not ready to wreck the other one too. ;) Have you eaten breakfast today? :D Jacqui~ And have YOU eaten breakfast today young lady? :D Tried my first yogurt yesterday and I gotta be honest, I was nervous. I thought it would taste different somehow. The only difference is, it's lowfat vs. nonfat so it tastes yummier! ;) I hope it helps with the bloating too--I just can't stand that! Gatorgirl~ that is a cute top!! You'll totally be back into it in no time!! Beautiful pics too btw! :) Leigh~ congrats on the loss! I love how we all seem to have certain pieces of clothing that we want to fit into. Mine is a little blue sun dress. I wish I still had the little black dress I wore to ebf Sr. Prom--now that would be amazing if I could fit into that again! ;) Keep up the great work and you'll be lookin' FAB in your FAB shirt soon! :) NSM~ good luck looking for houses! I love house hunting! Although it does start to wear on you (especially when you're dragging 4 kiddos around to a bunch of different houses all weekend long ;)). I hope you find a great place soon!! GL on the WI today too! :) Michelle~ I totally hear ya on getting a rush of strength! :carrot: It feels so good to be able to say no to the things that used to be my weakness before! That cake sounds like it was amazing--and you're right, it would tragic to let such a thing go to waste. Just be strong and stay the course, you'll come out stronger in the end! :) FSA~ Heya girlie! Hope you had a great night's sleep last night! I'm looking forward to hearing your news!! :) Jacque~ I think it's great that you still have friendships with your ex's! :) Sounds like you had a great day yesterday. Janis~ Congrats on the loss! :carrot: Keep up the great work!! Well girls, I slept horrible last night! *yawn* I went to bed around 10:30'ish and woke up at 1:00 with insomnia. 2 hours later I was still just laying there. My dd kept waking up during this time too and when I finally fell asleep--she woke me up twice more! Ahhh, life with toddlers. Oh well, I did manage to drag myself out of bed to do my HIIT this morning--although hubby did have to wake me up today. Got a lot of gardening done yesterday! The front flower bed is officially Finished!!! :celebrate: Well, wait...we need to mulch it, but other than that, it's Finished!!! :celebrate:  I got a lot of things planted, moved, replanted and although I still have lots more to go, it seems more managable now. I do have to relocate a plant I ripped up and relocated yesterday, it's just a couple foot move, but I'm worried I'm going to kill it. It was looking horrible yesterday, but after a night of rest it perked back up some so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Other than that, I'm down a smidge this morning 168.8 so that's always a good thing. TOM should be here soon, and I'm stoked because I'm currently on day 27 of my cycle and I'm hoping that means I'm back on track. I've been all over the place since Feb. and I even went on the pill for a month to help regulate it (quickly decided the side effects weren't worth it--cravings, weight gain, water retention, not to mention all the health stuff...). So, here's hoping this month isn't a fluke! :crossed: Alright girls, I better get going. I am so tired and my coffee is calling me--I think it's going to be a 2 cup day today!:coffee::coffee: So that means I'm going to have to drink extra water! :D Have a wonderful day and listen to Delphi's great advice for today! Delphi, you're a hoot girlie!! :) And also remember to... Drink Your Water!! :D |

Man it was a great workout. I actually managed to get three miles in by just walking. I've been getting close lately, but today actually got there.:woohoo:
I feel great!:carrot::carrot::carrot:, revived, refreshed and completely unstoppable. Take that superman! I am a lean, mean exercising machine this morning. I'm flexing right now, just so you guys know. Alright enough of that, think I'll go jog out to the end of my drive way and yell "Adrian"...ya know..just cause. Alrighty, I will talk to you superawesome ladies later. Gotta get my butt in gear and do a little housework and go jump on the bed until my boys wake up. Talk to you cool cats later. ;) Crazymomma ~ Wow, sounds like you got a ton of work in yesterday. Good for you! According to my cycle I should have started Friday...urg, and still no sign. It's amazing that now days we actually, want TOM to rear his ugly head. At any rate, you guys have another great day today. You just have so much energy. All this extra work you've been doing and simply just staying busy. Bravo! It's gonna translate on ol' darth scale eventually. :) janis ~ :congrat: to you on the two pounds going bye bye! You're doing something right kiddo, so just keep at it. Michelle ~ No not at all dear. Personals aren't a prerequisite, it's just an extra. At least you are reporting in and that helps with accountability. We are still gonna be here for ya, regardless, with open arms and plenty of support for ya. :) to the rest of you ladies. I hope you all have a most fantastic day! |
Delphi~ I now have the Rocky theme song stuck in my head!! :lmao: Your energy is infectious!!! I love it! Congrats on hitting the 3 mile mark! Amazing how far you've come so fast isn't it? Did you ever think when you started exercising that you'd love it this much? I know I didn't. :) I giggled when you said you were going to jump on the bed until your boys woke up! Meanwhile I'm over here relishing the silence and thankful that everyone's sleeping in. :D (the girls have been little stinkers lately!) I'm full of energy all weekend, but tend to slack durning the week--not sure why that is. I'm hoping that'll change though, I do feel better, I do have more energy as a whole, I just need to not park myself in front of the computer so much and avoid doing things like folding laundry and cleaning the stove (2 things which need my attention as I type! ;)).
Here's to another great day Super Chick!!! :strong: |
Hi everyone! I hope all had a great weekend! Not too good on the eating but back on track today with my egg and spinach omelete. I made it to the gym this morning and feel great! I even cut some of my sunflowers to bring to work to brighten my day all week long. Here's off to a great start of the week!
|
crazymomma ~ Hehe, I have "Eye of the Tiger" on my MP3 and on a burnt disk in my car. Love me some Rocky! You just want to start "air boxing" when you hear it..then before you know it, you're bobbing and weaving on your toes. For me, I think the exercise is the easy part. I feel so dog gone good when I'm done, I swear I could run circles around balboa. I really honestly love it. You feel so alive...uh oh, dang it, Alive...Stayin' Alive..:carrot: now I'll have to bust that song out. Here we go, in the kitchen, w/socks and a broom...oh yeah!
I hear ya on the puter. I decided to use my exercise ball when I'm at my desk. Even though my desk is really too high for it. So I can't type, but I can read or whatever I'm doing at it, at least I'm on the ball and strengthening my core..right? Then if I have to type, I have to go get my chair, take the ball back, then rinse and repeat. I spend way too much time at my desk. But a lot of the time it's me doing research. I simply can't get enough of this new lifestyle. I feed off all the research. I love it...At any rate, I need to get back to Stayin' Alive and shake my rear and watch my boys look at me like I'm crazy. Love it! ;) dollypie ~ Good job on getting to the gym this morning. :carrot: :broc: :carrot: |
Awesome! I got through the weekend posts...good thing the thread slows down slightly on the weekends!
All the talk on goal outfits got me thinking. My 9 y/o son is really into my new healthy lifestyle and keeps asking when I'm going to buy my goal outfit. I have long since gotten rid of my "skinny" clothes from WAY back when I was the appropriate weight. I would actually have to go buy something. So, I think 'What size should I buy?' 'What outfit should I buy?' So, I guess for now I'll take it one size change at a time. Maybe someone can help me with these things, but it's a toughie for me. The weekend was alright. I ate slightly higher cal/fat meals Saturday, but did lots of work at our land to compensate for it. Yesterday was decent/average with food and exercise. So, I ended up at 163.6 this morning which I was happy with. Now I have to get in my exercise for today because it'll be a busy one! |
