Morninggggggggggg girls :) wowee! Many many posts from late last night to now, the thread is flying  like Leigh said.
Happy new day everyoneeeeee :). Congratulations girls on the lbs. lost, inches lost, and OP days! :cheer::cheer::cheer: :carrot::carrot: It's so nice to come in and read everyone's news. Iaradajnos and Velveteen :welcome3: to our team :) . Velveteen, nice to see you again, wb :). RubyJan, congrats on an OP day 1 :carrot::carrot: that's super! Wishing you another great day. Thanks Ruby :), cheers to a great day for us all. Delphi, hi there :) Yes I slept well last night. Yesterday it caught up to me and I was tired but feeling fine today and ready for our new day! Delphi, wtg on your workouts. I was going to ask you about the cal shifting as well (I read one which goes up by 200 2 alternating days, down 500 other alt. days). I think many of them vary. Keep it shaking girl :carrot::carrot: I'll be waiting for that arrest announcement ;) lol. I took a sneak on the bugger scale and nada.....seems to have stalled out on me again but I'm going to keep on fighting :boxing: fighting, **** Yeah! ;). I'm a stubborn greek  THanks for the inspiration and wonderful attitude, there can never be enough or too much of that! oh, congratsssssssss on another lb. down girl, keep up the awesome work and have a superfanflippingtastic day! :). Michelle, hang in there and keep on truckin'. As long as we don't give up and keep on going, we will win! Today is a new day and wishing you a good one. :) Drinking the water, as Delphi said, will help you to flush away that lb. faster. Susiemartin, I think that is a smart idea planning to do the baking in the morning w hen are you least tempted. You mentioned the afternoons being the most frequent time that you may binge and it makes me wonder if you are letting yourself get too hungry? It makes it so much easier for us to binge if we get overly hungry . It helps me to never let myself get too hungry , if I feel a slight edge coming on, I go have a healthy snack or something to eat. Waiting to long is dangerous, or so I have found. THat little twinge of hunger can become a ravenous beast within a short amount of time sometimes so it's best to respond to the signal from the getgo. The hardest time for me is evenings...I'm a night person. I try and snack throughout the day (after lunch) around 3 or every 3 hrs. or so and has made a big difference on my apetite at night. It may help you to snack a little more during the day to help keep you from binging later on. Hope you have a great day too and keep on truckin' :) posting this in fear of losing it! brb |

FSA ~ Almost a pound girly, not quite a pound..but hopefully tomorrow. ;) On the calories. My daily metabolism averages around 2400, well technically more than that, but I only count from 12:00am to 7:00pm. So I use that as a guide. 1200 is where I need to be in order to lose about two pounds a week, and then sneak a 1400 day in or two consecutive days to just mix things up. But I have to make sure that on those high calorie days, that I do more activity. Like I picked today, because with two workouts I'm bound to get over my average and keep my 1000 calorie deficit required. I don't care what people say about these devices, mine has been spot on, minus that one week where I didn't see anything, but I've chalked that up to constipation, water retention and a bit of muscle gain. I'm losing pounds by my calculations, when I am supposed to, some times earlier as I don't account for about 400+ calories I burn between 7pm and midnight. I am really quite dependent on this thing. If something happens to it, I'd be frantic. I've got such a structured plan and everything revolves around my data collected. I commend you ladies that are doing it on the fly. I don't know if I would be as successful as all of you, if I didn't have my band.

crazymamaof4, congratulationssssssss on the 14's :carrot::carrot::carrot: woo hoo is right, your rocking it! wtg :). Regarding the collective lbs. lost, that approx. number (80) was just for the goals met and for the few gals who reported the loss. super ha? For my strength training plan, I do only upper body. I do many various upper bod routines (many reps) to work all the mucles in my arms, back , chest, etc. I do the lat pulldowns on my golds gym too. Largest muscle in back , burn fat burn! lol. My posture has improved significantly since doing them. You can do it with free weight too by raising the barbells to a V position and then bringing straight down bending elbows. I was doing Jackie warners core routine a while back and LOVED it, some really good moves in there (which I incorporated in my routine). Crazymama, I think your doing fantastic :carrot::carrot: Maybe your just getting stronger and that's why you feel like your not doing enough. You have been rocking it chicky. THanks for the water reminderrrrrrrrrrrrr :) keep up the great work : )
urockmommmmmm, congratulations on the 28 inches lost :carrot::carrot::carrot: That is awesome! :) wtg on the workouts too! It's a beauty out there today, enjoy it : ). Lene, hi there :) That sounds like a kickbutt eliptical! wtg on the workouts. Keep on truckin' :carrot::carrot: :) Dollypie, congrats on being OP :carrot::carrot: wtg! :) Keep it rolling! Here is to a new day for us all! abielle, yay :yay: on the weight loss and thanks for sharing with us : ). Altgirllllllllll, congratulationsssss :carrot::carrot:. I also eat protein at dinner. Carbs (the white's) create an insulin spike which raises blood sugar and can trigger cravings after and make us hungry (but if they are paired with protein it slows that process which helps). Protein is filling. I read a trick once about having a h.b egg 20 minutes before going to dinner. Interesting. Also, recently been hearing about it being best to get our carbs in at breakfast and lunch (and not at dinner) because our body processes it at dinner (jillian Michaels as well as others). I was just reading about bethenny frankl's plan and she suggest fruit for breakfast paired with a slice of wheat toast w/ nut butter on it (the protein will slow down the insulin spike of the fruit ...some can be high in sugar) Oh, here I go :blah::blah::blah: lol ;) well enough about that, congratulations once again :cheer2::cheer2: and keep up the wonderful work. MsP,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, wtg on getting to goal :carrot::carrot::carrot: congrats chicky :) Well, there are 2 extra days to this month and you still have 28 days from here :) wormwooddoll, congrats on the loss :carrot::carrot: you are so cl ose to onderland, keep up the good work Lewisempireeeeeeee  feel better, I was on my way over there to post but it will have to wait. Jacqui, keep on shining too and have an awesome day. yikes! the time.......I will be back later chicks. Hope I didn't miss anyone. I love the energy here, keep it rocking girls  and keep on shining :sunny: Wishing you all a superduper day. |
Delphi, thanks so much girl. Just saw your post. OH, **** yeah, that device you have sounds like it rocks! I'm telling you, I am liking it more and more, lol :). I read some reviews awhile back about bodybugg or something or other and yeah there are some things out there about accuracy. I like yourssssss :) It was so cool how you saw your metabolism flatline and then how it spikes after your workout and so on and so forth. That really is amazing and I can see why you love it. Keep on shaking and have a super day:) and thanks again for the info

Good Afternoon Chicks :D
Well, I am in again. My June goal is to lose 5 lbs. I didn't do too hot last month (2 lbs) so I will try again. I know that I was MIA for the last week or so on the May challenge. Things at work was crazy. Not only did my one co-worker lost her husband unexpectantly but my other co-worker's husband past as well. So that in itself put a lot of stress on me to be the iron horse for my dept. Everything here on the job front is semi back to normal. You girls rock!!!!! Thanks for all of your support  I couldn't ask for a better bunch of chicks to be losing pounds with ;). My WIs will be on Wednesday since I am starting today. Suzy |
I knew I'd hit the halfway point this week if my tummy decided to cooperate, and low and behold, I weighed in this morning at 279 exactly 5 pounds down from Monday! This totally makes 10 pounds feel achievable this month, from Monday's weight at least. I'll be thrilled with anything, but I'm still hoping to see the 260's!!
crazymama, the panties this is awesome! I was actually thinking last night about how great it will feel to buy new panties that fit! I <3 Hanes boy shorts but haven't been able to buy any in years! I'm still wearing them, but only cause all the pairs I have have stretched out with me!! I tried to buy the biggest ones last year and nearly lost a thigh just trying to put them on! So sad! |
I'm a few days late but would like to get in on the June challenge.
My goal is to lose 10 pounds by the end of June. I'll check my records at home to see what my actual weight was on Monday morning to use that. I was in the May challenge with a goal of ten pounds but only got about half way there. It was better than not losing or gaining though :) I hadn't been posting on a regular basis since life was just too busy this past month... I hope to keep up with the support here this month instead  |
Hey girls! I just have a second, but I wanted to pop in and show you what I did this morning.
Now, let me preface this with a warning and disclaimer: If you cannot handle the sight of a chubby girl without her makeup on or her hair done, dressed in 'lounge wear', don't look. If you can't handle the slight of a less chubby girl without her makeup and her hair done, dressed in 'casual wear' don't look. :D That is all. I took the before pic for a self portrait project with some Flickr friends of mine and honestly didn't intend for it to be a real "Before" photo--just a pic showing me as I usually looked back then. When I took it, I was pretty unhappy, 200 lbs, depressed, unmotivated and didn't feel like doing much of anything. :( Fast forward a couple false starts later to March and that's when I really got focused and determined. Anyway, I took the 2nd & 3rd pics this morning after I did my workout--hence the less than polished look. ;) Okay girls, if you're sure you're ready, here I am... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3629/...63a2621c_o.jpg I think the biggest change is in my upper body. My boobs have vanished :carrot: and my waistline is much smaller. If I had taken a side view in Jan., you'd be able to see just how wide I was from the side. My buns are a bit smaller too. :D Anyway, I've still got a ways to go, but I just thought I'd share since when Delphi posted her pics I had promised myself to take some of myself and post them as well. :) Hope everyone is having a great day! Don't get too chatty on me girls otherwise I might be up past midnight catching up tonight! ;) |
Crazymamaof4 - Congrats! Your are looking awesome. I am inspired to keep going.
