WormwoodDoll, my home scale only does half pounds, and I'm not quite ready to invest in a new scale. I almost stole my mom's the last time I visited her though, but that was mostly cause it said I was WAY down, but that was only because it was against a wall and I had to lean my butt out far to see the numbers!

He has a truck....Anyway, he said yes but of course I figured I need an extra pair of hands, so my new boyfriend will be at my house waiting for us to bring it home. They have never met. Plus my Mom and Sophie will be here and the old BF has not seen her since last summer. They get along great....This should be interesting. Can't wait to grill this weekend...oh what should we make!!!???
Good job on going back to workout...I have only split my workouts a few times...except for when I do cardio at the gym and then head to the pilates studio down the street. I find it hard to do something, say in the am and then go later after work to do something else. I like to get it all done at once!!!
Have a GREAT day EVERYONE!!!

Oh my word, girl!! You are daring!!! Lol!! I cannot believe you asked your old boyfriend, of 10 YEARS no less, to help you when you'll have a new boyfriend there helping as well!! All I have to say is that your guys must be GREAT guys for you to trust that that will go over well!! :D I usually try to get my workouts in all at once, but if I can't, I don't hesitate to split them. It's getting the minutes in that counts. They don't have to be consecutive to make a difference.

Delphi 06-04-2009 05:56 PM

Jacqui ~ I hope you have had a great day today! :)

Blondie ~ That's what I should do, but I'm such a packrat at times. I say I'm gonna get rid of things and I never do. Definitely something I need to work on. :)

Well I think I am officially done for the day. I went back, because of crazymomma and finished sorting all those clothes and put all the winter ones in storage. I think I'm done. Never did get to the wii but all the other heavy duty stuff more than made up for it. ;)

You ladies have a great evening!

Jacqui_D 06-04-2009 06:38 PM

Urock, great job on staying OP and getting your strength training and cardio in!! You really have set your mind to it and you are just doing fantastic! Have fun today on DH's B-day! :woo:

Dolliepie, mmm, stuffed porkchops and veggies out of the crockpot sounds great!! I love my crockpot!! I'm not much of a cook, so anything fast and easy is right up my alley! You are doing so great on the exercise, girl! Keep it up!

LaurenA, :congrat: on the 2 lbs down!!! :carrot::broc::carrot: I just love when the scale cooperates like that!! :yay: Mine, unfortunately, is being stubborn right now, but I'll just keep on keeping on! :)

Tummy_Girl, wow! 3 lbs down on TOM?! I sometimes lose 1 lb on the first day of TOM, but never in the middle of TOM! And never 3 lbs, lol! Fantastic!! :congrat:

Ms_P, great job on the 1.4 lbs down!! :yay: I'm so glad you are finding your motivation again by being able to get online and come here again! :spin:

Blondie32, good for you starting water aerobics! :cp: I've never tried it, although the Y offers it. You'll have to let us know how you like it!

Lewis, I am glad you're feeling better! I resort to Nyquil too if my cold is bad enough. Nothing is worse that coughing or being stuffed up all night and not being able to sleep. Nyquil can be a lifesaver that way!

Bahecasmart, great job staying OP and exercising!! :trampo: You are doing great!! The panties reference is from when CMof4 said she went out and bought new panties because she had lost so many inches. Then NSM said to her "Woohoo on the panties!" Well, that cracked me up and I commented about how funny that was. Then Delphi got tickled by it and said it was a new catch phrase. So now when somebody does something good, we are saying "Woohoo on the panties!" Lol! So Beheca, woohoo on the panties for being OP and exercising!!! :D

Gator, you are doing great, girl! :congrat: on the 1.6 lbs down!! It's definitely not a fluke if you weighed the same morning and night! So woohoo on the panties (see above)! :yay: Keep it up!! :carrot: About the water, many health fitness experts recommend you drink in ounces the number that is half your weight in lbs. So at 187 lbs, I should be drinking 93.5 oz a day. And you'll hear conflicting opinions on whether that should be plain water or water-filled drinks like tea.

Abielle, fantastic!! :congrat: on losing 2 more lbs!! 150s, here you come! :cheer3::cheer2::cheer3:

Glutio, congrats on the .5 lb down! :cp: I'm like you in that I weigh everyday and if the scale goes up a lb or 2, I don't worry about it because I know I am staying OP and it can only be water weight. But oh how I love to see it go down!

Dandk, I hope you make your goal too! :cheer2: I'd never be able to swing 15 lbs. My body, for some reason, likes to thwart my best efforts to lose 10 lbs each month by losing 9 lbs and then waiting until the first or second day of the next month to shed the last lb, lol! But I keep trying to get that 10 lbs in! Actually, I'm VERY happy to lose 9 lbs in a month! That's pretty incredible in itself! Oh my!!! I just saw by your ticker that losing 15 lbs would take you to just over the 100 lbs lost mark!! WOW!! You are doing AMAZING!!! Good luck on reaching your goal! :cheer3::cheer2::cheer3:

Delphi, I still cannot believe you are laying your own carpet! You are a wonderwoman!!! :cp: And thank you! I hope you've had a great day too!

AtlGirl, good luck!!! I hope your scale-peeking is right!! :carrot: You're doing a great job!! :broc:

100%me, don't let the 1 lb up get you down. Weight fluctuates so easily. Mine goes up and down all the time! Just keep on doing what you know you need to do to lose the weight and it can't help but come off!!

Shari, :congrat: on the 2.5 lbs down!! That has to feel great!! Good job!! :trampo:

Tamikazie, Lene and FullSteamAhead both do SBD, so you have some kindred spirits here! :D I'm glad it's working so well for you!! I've heard it's a really good plan, especially for people who are carb-sensitive or insulin-resistant.

SuzyQ, you are doing so well!! Look at you! You are getting farther and farther away from the 300s!! Don't stop now, because you NEVER want to go back and it's way too easy!! Stay committed! C'mon girl, get that fire back! :flame:

FSA, aw, I am so glad you are feeling better!!! Moms are great, aren't they? And Dads too!! How great of him to get the haddock for you! You sound like you have a wonderful family! :)

Suzie, glad to hear you made it through the baking without a problem! :carrot: It's very smart of you to be health-conscious. I am so sorry that you cannot afford the health insurance. That is one of my biggest concerns for my son who is 21 right now but was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 2 years ago. Our country has to do something to make health insurance affordable for everyone! I just don't get why if we are in danger from another person, we are entitled to police protection and if we are danger from a fire, we are entitled to call the fire dept to keep us safe, but if we are in danger from disease or injury, we are not entitled to a doctor or hospital! It makes no sense! Of all things, our personal health is the most important thing we have! Anyway, I'll get off my :soap:. I'm glad that you are taking proactive steps to take care of yourself. My age (48) is what finally prompted me to change my lifestyle of eating and exercise too.

CMof4, way to be productive in the house! That's just extra calories burning! :)

Lene, have you been taking your vitamin? :D

Hi NSM  good luck if you try to do personals when you come back on, lol! Look at this book I just wrote!! It definitely requires the 2-window method!! :D

As for me, I've been OP today, eaten 2 out of 3 meals so far and 1 snack, so I am right on schedule! I also got 30 minutes of walking and 60 minutes of strength-training in, not to mention vacuuming and dusting! Woohoo on the panties! :carrot:

nellonello 06-04-2009 07:34 PM

I am feeling like a lost puppy. My Sensewear has official bit the dust and it will be over a week before I will get my new one :yikes: I rely so much on that to track my calories deficit. In the meantime I am going to be sure to journal everything so that I can keep track of progress as well as keep reading here for inspiration.

Jacqui_D 06-04-2009 07:43 PM

Nellonello, I'm so sorry your Sensewear went out on you! But you are handling it very well in keeping a journal and staying on top of your calories!! Good for you!!! You'll survive this, chickie! :D

Oh my gosh, you are handling it well. I would totally be lost and perhaps even in panic mode. Kudos to you for keeping it together. :)

Jacqui ~ You go girl...getting all those meals in. Bravo!!

lumifan4ever 06-04-2009 08:28 PM

Got my excersize in today> Only one hour...but it's better than none. I did 45 minutes on the treadmill at 3.9 on an incline of between 5.0 and 7.0. Then I did about 15 minutes of upper body weights. Tomorrow's main excersize will consist of walking my butt off up and down hills at SixFlags.

gatorgirl6 06-04-2009 08:41 PM

Delphi- I have been drinking all the time. I drink a lot during meals and after a workout, but I also drink a bunch while I'm working on school work, or watching tv. I also drink a bunch in the evening when I'm trying to avoid those snacks.

Newshinyme 06-04-2009 11:36 PM

Good evening girls!
I did not forget all about you. I stayed away from the computer all day on purpose :)
I have an early start tomorrow, so I wanted to come by tonight.
I am happy to say my eating is still good and so is the exercise. Yesterday I decided to take a gamble and buy a new pair of capris in a size 12 without even trying them on..and I was happy to say that they actually fit! They are a bit tight, but I could wear them outside and in a few lbs. I am sure they'll be just right :carrot:

Delphi: Onederland by your birthday!! That would be so awesome girly, with your drive and determination, I would bet you'll make it :D.. Oh my! you actually did the carpeting yourself!

Lene: Ouch! Get better soon girly..definitiely keep that water up to flush everything out.

Jacque: I have definitely adopted the 2 window method now, there is no way I could keep up otherwise. WTG on keeping your eating up today as well, aaand your exercising congratulations!!

Welcome to all the newbies too..
I am sure I missed a bunch of people, keep up the good work.

I will come and check in tomorrow!

CMo4: Your weight stall might just be related to the change in your exercise routine, and if that is the case it will resolve in a couple of days, so don't sweat it (or more like..yeah sweat it off!)

urock: Happy Bday to your DH! Did you have fun?

dollypie: Good on you for getting your stretching done :) and it does get better, just keep at it.

LaurenA: congrats on the 2 lbs.

Tummy Girl: WTG! LOL at your sweating on purpose :D

Ms.P:  Looks like you're getting your groove back!! Aren't these ladies awesome?

Lewis: It's so good to hear you are feeling better, and ummm.. more sober too :D

bahecasmart: Good job! one day at a time chickie!

SuzyQ: Sorry to hear that you are feeling a bit out of it. First thing I'd suggest is keep posting here, You will have everyone's support right when you need it. The other thing I have noticed is exercise does wonders for me. I tend to be insomniac if I am the least bit worried or anxious and I am light sleeper too, but even 20 -30 min. of mild exercise during the day does the trick for me.

FSA: You sound so much better now, glad to have your old self back! That haddock sounds yummy too!

susiemartin: yay! you resisted the cookies. You are right on the BP and the glucose, good diet and exercise is the way to go, who wants to be tied to pills anyway?

Newshinyme 06-04-2009 11:37 PM

hmmm...
this thing is only showing half of my post! GRRR!!! is there a limit on the length of the post?

Gotta run now, but I am thinking of everyone else too...See you tomorrow!

lookingtobehealthy 06-04-2009 11:45 PM

Hi ladies, it sounds like you are all doing so well. I weighed in Tuesday morning at 250.8, so I will stick to that weight for now.
I would love to be past that 250 mark...
At work this morning, on the treadmill, I realized for the first time that this will not be a temporary thing. It hit me that I will have to work hard all the time to lose weight, and to watch what I eat. (that kinda sucks) but then I thought of all the rewards coming to me for all my effort... things that came to my mind......
I can sit down at someones house and not worry about the chair being able to hold my weight.
I can run around without getting huffy and puffy.
I can actually try new things and not worry about fitting in properly.
I can go horseback riding without worrying about breaking the horse's back.
I can wear those sexy undergarments - victorias secret catalog has to offer
I can feel confident in a room full of skinny chicks (you know what I mean)
I could go dancing, or ice skating or skiiing
the list goes on....

You ladies are awesome and so inspiring, thank you

FullSteamAhead 06-05-2009 12:13 AM

Hi girlssssssssssssss, miss ya all alreday :) \

I need to head to bed but figured I would pop in for a quickie post. Read all of the posts and want to say thanks for the kind words, simply adore you girls. I was telling DH all about you! :)

Lene, I was thinking about you today and wondering how you were and then saw your post after. I'm sorry to hear your feeling uncomforable right now . Hang in there, it will pass. In the meantime, think of all of the wonderful things you have accomplished, the kickbutt month you had last month, and a whole new month! : ). Wishing you a speedy healing and you keep in touch girl. Have a wonderful weekend.

Lumifan? I am in Mass! :) Have a wonderful time at six flags tomorrow.

Oh, DH suprised me and came home an hour early. We went for a walk on the beach! THat was really nice. We might go Saturday too, that would be great because I can get my walking in too. Ok, I better go...lol :)

Ok, I have to get my tail over to the ex. thread and post my minutes before hitting the hay. I will be back tomorrow and write more. Newshinyme, good to see you too girl....and congratulationsssssss on the size 12 :carrot::carrot::carrot: wtg. Looking to be healthy, that's great that you thought of some rewards....that's what's going to help you get through. So true, the journey can be hard sometimes (the eating healthy becomes a habit over time though) but the rewards and that feeling when you reach accomplishments and make progress is like being on :cloud9: and it far supersedes all of the tough times! IT's so worth it. Keep up the good work :). Night ladies, see you tomorrow. Hope you all have a great day. A big  thanks again chicks. Sleep well

Jacqui_D 06-05-2009 12:47 AM

FSA, you are a night owl! Lol! I'm glad you enjoyed your walk on the beach with your DH. That sounds so nice. :)

Looking2BHealthy: What a good way to stay motivated! When I lose weight, I will be able to sit in my DH's lap without feeling like I'm too heavy. And I won't feel like I disappear into a crowd. And I won't have to hide from cameras or dread mirrors, especially dressing room mirrors. And when I sit in the bath tub to take a bath, the water won't get stuck in the front of the tub as it's filling up with me in it, because my thighs won't be blocking both sides of the tub, lol! And just today I ran up the 19 steps to the second floor of my house without even having to take a single deep breath! :carrot:

NSM, since my last post takes up 1/2 the page, I don't think there's a limit to the post length, lol! I had to go back like 4 pages to catch up with all the posts I missed! :D WTG on keeping up with your eating well and exercising too!!! :cheer3:

Lumi, great job with the exercise!! :trampo: Have fun at 6 Flags!

Thanks Delphi! And how are you doing on meals? Getting them all in with enough calories?
