SuzyQ and Econ, welcome back ladies!! You are not going to believe how quickly this thread flies by, so put on your running shoes! Lol!
|
CMof4, congrats on the size 14s!!! You are shaped like me, with more "junk in the trunk" than on top, lol, so we don't move pant sizes quickly, but wow, you look amazing!! :carrot:
Urock, good with you sticking with it no matter what the scale says! And wow, those inches off!! Incredible! :broc: Dollypie, great job on staying OP!! Keep it up, girlie! :cheer3: Abielle, Congrats on the weight loss!! Keep going, chickie! :cp: AtlGirl , a big WOOHOO ON THE PANTIES!!! (It means "yay!" Lol!) A new century!!! Good for you!!! Great job, lady!!! :trampo: Ms_P, so glad you are back online!! :ys: I am in your same boat! I made May's goal on June 1st, lol!! But hey, the weight's off and that's all that matters! :spin: WWDoll, :congrat:on the lb down!! On to ONEderland!!! :yay: Glutio, another big WOOHOO ON THE PANTIES!! 5 lbs down!! :carrot: Delphi, yep, I got my breakfast and lunch in today! The only thing about lunch is that I ate a grilled chicken sandwich with a homemade bun and it's was white flour (and I don't do white flour--thank goodness the protein in the chicken offset it) but I did eat it and yum! But all I could think was, "This bun is probably 500 calories by itself!" So I guess I'm "calorie shifting" today, lol!! FSA, thanks! You have a great day too! :) Okay, hope I got everybody! I'm hitting the send button! Lol! |
CMo4- I take my second test tonight. I can't wait for it to be over. Just a couple more hours. I am normally really bad about getting my water, but since I joined this challenge I can't get you ladies out of my head. I just hear you all yelling about water, and so I go and get another glass. Hopefully it will be the kick in the butt that I need.
Delphi- You joked about running down the street in your panties, and it is somewhat a goal of mine. I know that sounds terrible, so let me explain. I go to the University of Florida and every year there is an event called 'The Great Underwear Dash'. It is actually a charity event. Hundreds of students all meet in this big plaza on campus, strip down to their undies and dash to the edge of campus. All the clothes that are left on the ground are donated. Its kind of a tradition on campus, and I would love to be confident enough in my body to do it before I graduate. I figure its about the same amount of clothes as a bikini. Well, I have been perfectly on plan for 3 days now (since the 1st). I have dropped .4 lbs. It doesn't seem like a ton, but thats not bad for 3 days with TOM. Hopefully I can keep the momentum up for the rest of the month. If I manage to lose 10lbs by the end of this month, then that would put my bmi at 25.6, which is super close to not being overweight! I am really going to push to make this goal. |
I never seem to have time for personals however I will say one thing...crazy momma, I took care of the granny panties along time ago.,..I just don't wear any
:welcome: newbies.....glad you are here. Just got back from buying a new grill....well my mom bought it for me, but just the same, now I can continue to cook in a healthy way. My BF was crazy when mine shattered...now I have a nice new all stainless steel one. Gotta pick it up on Friday so we will be grillin' this weekend. :carrot: |
Jacqui D,
I know your wondering about my weight loss but My scale quit working. I think it might need the better batteries because I bought the cheap ones but it still will not come on. However I am doing great on eating and exersizing and today I started my monthly cycle so maby its best the scales are not working. I will weigh in Monday somehow someway. I read posts daily but sometimes I get lost reading so many.:dizzy: |
Hi chickiessssssssss :) Happy afternoon! I just got back from a long walk and it feels so good to sit in my comfy pc chair and read all your news! Needless to say, I don't plan on moving much the rest of the night! lol Kicking back!
Many of you know about my talking about varying my plan (mostly to shake things up and keep my metabolism guessing but also because I was bored of the same things anddddddd also frustrated, etc....the list goes on). I picked up some frozen dinners the other day (healthy choice cafe selects) as I really felt like a break from the cooking and it is always very helpful to have such things on hand should I suddenly not feel well from TOM or some other thing going on. I highly recommend having prepared meals in the freezer for such times. Anyways, I figured I would try it for a few days just to switch the menu up. Great concept but bad otherwise. Yesterday, I felt hungrier than usual (TOM not to blame), maybe it was the whites in the healthy choice? (thought it was mixed with protein) or maybe it was because I was tired and a little pouty, or maybe just frustrated ..........any and all of these reasons are possible. I did come to the conclusion though, that trying to up my cals in this sense during the day (or create my variety) isn't cutting it! Lot's of sugar in some of those, I swear I got an insulin spike. Today, I had my delicious salad and went for a long walk. I think if I just stick to my guns and eat my healthy meals , watch my sugar, sodium , and carb intakes, I'll be on my way. I have shaken up my routine by extending my walks. As for the meal plan, going back to multiple mini plans (giving it a whirl) and maybe SBD phase 1 again. I had some stuff on my mind and that can be draining so let me tell you a long walk was cathartic and oh felt so good! Both spiritually and mentally! I took yesterday off to rest my muscles and though I was okay with that, I was missing the mental boost from it. So what do you think chickies? Tell me what you think, I appreciate your input. I feel I am getting a bit frustrated and I need that psychological boost of seeing the numbers or at least the feel, something new, different! kwim? Any input would be appreciated. That walk did me wonders, I can say that much! girls. When I was walking home I though. "no way in **** can I go wrong if I keep this up"! lol. THat is darn true. Also, the salad was awesome, n o increased hunger and so I plan to just continue with the healthy eating. posting, brb |

Blondie, wtg on being OP. It can be especially hard during the monthly cycle or TOM as we call it. Hang i n there and keep up the good work :) A big hello  to all of you girls. Keep up the great work and hopefully talk soon :) |
Couch and Velveteen -good to have you join us. Good luck with your goals this month.
Delphi- :carrot:Congrats on being down TWO pounds already this month- WHOOHOO Things are much better here. You know I have decided to try and be a bit more positive. Instead of being all bummed out over our situation, I can be thankful I have a husband, I can be thankful I have a job. That kind of thing. Doesn't always work, but all of you girl's messages of encouragment and understanding really helped me to get out of the doom and gloom. Glutio- hope things get to "moving" for you. That is such a bummer- but something that I know several of us deals with. And it always messes with our scales- sigh |
FSA ~ Hey whatever works for you. We are all different. I'm probably the wrong person to be giving advice. I tend to buy prepackaged meat etc.. I hardly cook anything. I just don't have a passion for it..or perhaps the lack of a dishwasher has something to do with it. Are you sure you're ok? Sounded like you needed to get some things off your chest. If ya ever need me girly, you just let me know. I'm always around! :)
Supachix ~ That is GREAT news! You have no idea how happy that made me to read that. You keep fighting the good fight...and just remember that support is right here if you ever need it. How's Brea doing? Blondie ~ It sure can be overwhelming. If I didn't stay home all day, I don't see how I would ever keep up. ;) Jacque ~ Woohoo on the grill! Enjoy it! gatorgirl ~ Hey that sounds like a GREAT goal and I'm all for charities. I may have to make a trip down there. ;) Jacqui ~ I wouldn't even no where to begin with homemade anything much less buns.. Oh well, like you said, it's calorie shifting at it's finest. Now go get some dinner girly. ;) crazymomma ~ Have I mentioned yet, how gorgeous you look in your pictures? ;) |

Hello everyone! Woo Hoo on the panties!!!
Only found the time to get in here now and now I have to catch up! Couch: Congrats on the kilo...I initially learned in the metric system and then I had to get used to thinking pounds and feet. I still can't make any sense of temperatures in Farenheit though... Shari: Sound like you had a heck of a day :( Hope you're feeling better now! RubyJan: Look at you go, you are taking the bull by the horns with your eating and exercise. Congratulations! Welcome Velveteen and iaradajnos Delphi: I loooove the new picute, you look beautiful!. I love your attitude and you are right....**** Yeah! Michelle: Hang in there babe...you can turn this around! Cmo4: thanks for the :cheer: You look fantastic girlie! WooHoo on the panties! WormwoodDoll: Here's to you and Onederland!!!!! urock: LOL.. I want to see that video too!!!! and don't worry Delphi, we'll pass around a hat to collect money if you need to post bail :P Jacqui: How was lunch with DH? and you had breakfast too! Fantastic! glutio: Oh yeah!!! Congrats on the 5 lb. mark girl! Welcome back SuzieQ and econ nerd! Gatorgirl: Good luck with your exam. You had me a bit worried with your running down the street in your undies fantasy...but it all makes sense now, we have a similar run here too, but I don't think I've ever even considered doing it :D FSA: I never felt satisfied when eating those Lean Cuisine sort of things either. They are good in theory, but not so much in reality, at least not for me. On the other hand making sure I eat lots and lots of veggies before my NS food seems to do the trick, so I guess it's more about shifting the balance on the amounts of stuff I eat that does the trick...I will never be able to just eat a tiny portion of anything LOL. Supa: big big  for you!!! Ok everyone! I have an appointment in like 20 mins. so I have to run..will try and come back later, if not, see you tomorrow. **** Yeah! Woo Hoo in the panties! |
Good evening girls!!! :) The girls are in bed and hubby's home watching Good Eats with the boys so I thought I'd sneak in here and catch up! :)
URockMom~ Haha, yeah, I guess the whole panties thing would be lost if it weren't for being able to go back a few pages huh? I'm loving your attitude about keepin' at it even the scale is being stubborn! Keep it up girlie! Congrats on the inches lost--28 inches is incredible!! Woo hoo! Delphi~ I'm still waffling about going with My Fitness Coach or the new AE Active one...I've read great reviews about Fitness Coach and that if you want to get a great work out, it doesn't disappoint. I really want to figure out what I'm doing st'ing wise. I mean, the exercises seem straightforward enough, but this is where I really wish I had a gym and a personal trainer! ;) Thanks for all of the sweet words about my pics--I love taking pics, but hate being in them! LOl about my toned arms--I had another shot where my arm was squished against my chest (the was I was holding the camera) and I thought, 'now that's not very flattering!' so I kept clickin'! Dollypie~ did you get that stretching in tonight? I love stretching! :) I need to do it more often! Abiell~ :carrot: Woot! Congrats on the lose girl! Keep up the fantastic work! :) Atlgirl~ Yay!!! No binge cravings! Ya gotta love that! Yeah, protein will keep you fuller longer, I always forget that! Maybe that's why I was starving after my dinner of stirfry veggies and a little chicken--duh! WTG! And congrats on the loss! I'm sure by Monday you'll be securely in the 200's!!! :) iaradajnos~ :welcome: aboard! Yes, we love reading long posts here (and creating them--some of us more than others (cough, cough--ME!--cough ;)). Hop right in!! :) MsP~ Woo hoo! Congrats on making that goal!! Who cares if you're a couple days late? You made that goal girlie!!! :) Yeah, I was getting pretty irked that my 14's weren't fitting after I lost 20 lbs. However, the 16's I was wearing were pretty well stretched to their maximum, kwim? ;) But, my upper body always slims down faster and since my back always feel better when the 'twins' leave town, it's hard to be bummed about my bottom half. WormwoodDoll~ congrats on the loss!! We'll be here cheering you on! Onederland here you come! FSA~ Thanks for the info on your st'ing routine! I think I'm feeling like I'm slacking because I feel like I'm cheating by not doing cardio everyday anymore. And the cardio I am doing is only 20-25 mins (HIIT) so I really feel like I've reduced my exercise a ton! The scale is showing it too--hasn't dropped a bit, in fact, it's up a smidge. Ahh well, if I still see zero loss this week, I might go back to at least a brisk walk on the treadmill every night and keep my HIIT sessions and ST'ing the same...we shall see...thanks so much for saying such sweet things about my pics. SuzyQ~ glad to see you're back in! Wow, sounds like you had a rough week at work. So sad when people lose their spouses! Hope this week is better for you girlie! :) Glutio~ oh the Hanes bikinis are the ones I bought! I looked at the boy shorts and decided I didn't want to risk buying them and having them not fit right. I stuck with what I knew worked. ;) I had to LOL when I read your post 'nearly lost a thigh' oh my--I've soooo been there!!! Keep up the great work and you'll be back in them in no time flat!! :) econ nerd~ Welcome back!!! Congrats on the loss in May! Nellonello~ aww, thanks so much! :) Jacqui~ 'sexy pose' ?! Did you say sexy?! :lmao: Well, okay, you've got me blushing now! :o And to answer your question, yes. I was indeed wearing some of my new bikini briefs!! :D Ooh, so you have a ample rear too? ;) Back in my skinny days (a long, long time ago...) my friends used to tease me that I had a 'ghetto booty'. Fast forward 15-20 years, 4 kids, 3 c-sections later and now it's all the rage! Figures I'd be fat when Jlo is causin' such a rucus with her back end! Hopefully it's still all the rage when I get thin again--or else I'll be the one getting arrested for whippin' up a riot!! Gatorgirl~ hope your test is going well! This is the last one right? Good luck!! Congrats on the loss! A loss is a loss--and after 3 days with TOM? Oh girl, I bet you'll see a nice drop after he packs his bags! :) Jacque~ ooh, you bad girl you!!! Jacque's goin' comando everyone! My oh my, the cat's outta the bag now! ;) Blondie~ these posts are getting crazy aren't they? And here I thought the May thread was nuts! We've got a great bunch of crazy, chatty girls here--don't worry about keeping up, just jump in when you can! :) Jodi~ so glad to hear things are better for you! Sometimes you just got to get it all out and anytime you need us, we'll be here for you! NSM~ thanks hun! Woo hoo on the panties back at ya! ;) Okay then, I'm all caught up! I'm tellin' ya, I'm going to have to start setting the alarm for 4:00am just to get everything in before the kids wake up! Thanks everyone for the sweet comments about my pics. Anytime I show anyone pics of me, I cringe and secretly hate it--but since Delphi did it...well, I had to bite the bullet and just do it! :D Feeling like I have more time on my hands than I should...the treadmill is missing me I think...I think I hear it crying...'don't you forget about me, don't, don't, don't, don't...' Wow, that's really showing my age isn't it? ;) Well girls, I better get going. I need to, well, I dunno...but I really should get off the computer! Hope everyone is having a wonderful night!!! :) |
Hey everyone,
Y'all have been so nice and so encouraging! . . . So I felt it only right that I let y'all know that I've decided to drop out of this challenge, and also the exercise challenge. I'm still doing well with both my weight loss and my exercise and there's no big issue going on; it's more along the lines learning what works best for me and what doesn't work very well for me. Thank you all, and I wish all of you well. |
Delphi, your new avatar pic is gorgeous!! Girl, you are hot! :flame:!!!
Gator, great job losing weight on TOM! That means you are doing things right!! :carrot: Joci, congrats on getting a new stainless steel grill! :hun: Blondie32, don't you worry about it, girl! Just keep doing what you're doing! We just want you to eat right and exercise! Those are the important things, and the weight loss will fall in line!! And yes, the threads can be hard to keep up with, lol, but please know that you don't have to write personals. If you'll just keep checking in and letting us know how you're doing, we will keep supporting you, chickie!! You're doing a great job!! :broc: FSA, I am like you--carb sensitive--and prone to insulin spikes and then big drops that trigger my hunger uncontrollably, which then starts the cycle all over again. That's why I have to keep my blood sugar stable. So white foods do not work for me, but I've found that processed foods don't either! I might as well eat some Pringles potato chips as eat a Healthy Choice meal! That doesn't seem right but that's how it is! I don't know what it is, but it sounds like you are the same way. Whole foods, foods that you put together, foods that you know the ingredients of, that's what you need to stick to, chickie. If I were you, I would buy a new low-carb or diabetic cookbook and try out all kinds of new recipes. I'm thinking you're bored with what you're eating and it's making you doubt how well you are doing and if you can stick to it! And you can!!! But when the "same ol' thing" competes with yummy restaurant dinners and a Greek aunt's cooking, well, lol, guess what is going to keep getting harder to resist!! I think you just need to find some things to tempt your tastebuds that are still very healthy for you--you can even cook some things, portion them out, and then freeze them into your own "healthy choice" dinners--and then whichever plan you choose won't seem so hard to follow! I know you'll pick the right plan, even if that plan is rotating plans, lol, and that you will make it work! Jodi, I am so glad to read that you are feeling better!! Sometimes you do just have to count your blessings, appreciate what you have, and live life one day at a time! :) NSM, and I had dinner and a snack too!:cp: Lunch with DH was very nice! He is a teacher and today was his last day before summer break, and he got out early so it was fun to go out to lunch together! I was concerned about having too many calories but I just had a nice salad for dinner, so I think I have it covered! :) CMof4, lol!! YES, sexy!!! And I know!--When I was in school, way thin was in, and my friends and boyfriends used to tease me about having a "duck butt," lol! Now, like you said, it is IN, lol! So now I am quite happy with my shape. I just have to pare it all down some, lol! It would be nice if I could keep the boobs, but nope, not my natural shape! As I lose weight, I lose them! Oh well! At least I have a booty, lol! Oh, SharMar, I'm sorry to see you go, :( but I'm so glad there is nothing wrong! Good luck to you, girlie!! Well, ladies, I got half of my 60 minutes of exercise in, but I have to go hit the exercise bike now to get the other half in!! I am so impressed with how everyone is doing! Keep it up ladies!! :cp: |
