Hi folks. I feel like I have been neglecting you this week. I am sorry.
If you are new, you don't know me, but I have bad arthritis in my hip and hands. I had surgery on my hip in June to try to smooth the joint out and postpone having it replaced. I have been rehabbing since then. Last week I went in to have synovial fluid injected into the joint and I did not exercise all week. Not because of doctor's orders, just because ... uh.... I was worried and lazy....
So, I fell behind in my 50 mile goal. I am going to get as close as I can, and I plan to start another goal in October, so I might make the whole 50 then. I hope you guys will join me for monthly goals. I really need the accountability to get my miles in.
I'm so glad we have some new people! You guys stick with it and keep track of how many miles you put in. Maybe we will do a long term overall mileage thing one of these days. Like a walk across a state or something. First I need to get a few months of 50 miles under my belt. I have lots of great plans, not always lots of great follow-through.
I woke up with a migraine this morning and missed church. I just got up again, and plan to get in three miles on the spin bike today. It's nice and cool outside, and I think I could take a walk, but I tried one walk a few weeks ago, and I really regretted it. I have two more injections in the hip; this coming week and next week, and then I will be done and I think ready to walk. I HAVE to get this weight off to save my joints.
