    I was up super early this morning and was contemplating going back to bed or getting some work done, neither of which was appealing, so tied up my sneakers and off I went - 4.5 miles. It was a beautiful morning for a walk and my son surprised me 1/2 through by meeting me and walking the rest of the way. Nice.

    9/21 38 + 4.5 = 42.5

    i am at about 27 miles (I have to double check my numbers and update my ticker) I think I will have 30 miles for the month. So it's a good starter-month. I am not quitting yet, but planning how to get more miles in next month. I also got a heart rate monitor so I can see how hard I am really working. It sure SEEMS hard, but we'll see what my heart has to say :-)

  • Good job wanting to. That heart monitor is a great idea. I know that even though I may be walking far, I'm not always getting my heart rate up like I should. Let us know how it works for you!

    Well, I did it - got my 3 miles in this morning! (Heaven forbid I go further ) I'm going to try to get at least another 5 in over the next four days and next month, I'll bump up my goal. Is everyone up to do this again next month??
