Valentine's Challenge
Good Morning!
This post will be short, I have our family Christmas party to get ready for. It's with my two brothers, two sisters, spouses and kids. We have a huge family! Calejo...I totally agree with S.Butt and ennay, that's way too fast and unhealthy. The people on Biggest Losers had a full time coach and doctor around 24/7 to monitor them. We don't have that privilege. Friday's journal: Calories...1,150 Calories burned...2,283 Weight -/+/Same...Down 1/2 pound Everyone have a fantastic Christmas! :ginger: Bobbi |
Ready to start...
Hello Ladies!!
I guess you could say that I am new to this forum. I have posted here before...several months ago. I am ready to lose weight again. I am currently doing the 3hr diet, but I am also calorie counting. I have managed to do OK with what I have lost so far, but I haven't been watching what I eat for the past several months. I need to get in gear and get to loosing!! I am in for the challenge. I would like to get rid of 10lbs by Feb. I would also like to start exercising...30 mins of walking about 3 times a week. Thanks for having this challenge!! |
Hi Ladies! I lost 2.6 lbs this week and part of the reason is because the kids and I have been sick and didn't have much of an appetite. Well, its back this morning in full force. I hope to get to the gym 3-4 times this week now that everyone is feeling better.
I've read that losing 1-2lbs a week is ideal. You're more likely to keep the weight off and if you lose more than two pounds after the first few weeks of a new weight loss program then you're probably losing muscle along with the fat. |
Hi Mel....good to see you again. I am also doing part of the 3hr.diet but mostly calorie counting.
We just returned from a long vacation and I was up 5 lbs., which I didn't think was bad and I have lost 2 of that so far. So I will galdly join in the Valentine 10 lb. challenge and hope for more!!!! Phyllis |
Is it too late to join?

Welcome Mel and Webweevil! I actually have good news to report, I'm actually down 4 pounds instead of up 1. I didn't have my contacts in and read the scale totally wrong :) yay!
Have fun at your Christmas party, Bobbi! And a merry Xmas to everyone that is celebrating this weekend. |
Im a little late but im gonna join you guys!
My goal is to fit comfortably into a pair of size 9 pants that are still hanging in my closet. Theyve been too tight since like 5 months after i bought them, and i can almost fit into them now... I figure that would be about 10 pounds to be able to wear them. 7 weeks til Valentine's!!!:D |
Welcome One and All!
:welcome:
100%ME...We're starting at about the same weight, same weight goal and the same height. I'm going to try and keep up with you! Webweevil...where have we met before?:D Floridarusty and Mel...Good to have you.:high: Lori...Congrats on the 2.6 weight loss! Little Electron...You are too funny, you might have heart failure doing that. :joker: What a nice Christmas surprise to see a 4 pound loss instead of a 1 pound gain. Congrats to you too!. What's the 3 hour diet you two girls are talking about? Merry Christmas everyone....Bobbi |

Christmas Day
Merry Christmas Everyone!
I'm sure this thread is going to be slow today. I survived my large Family Christmas party yesterday afternoon. I only ate 1 rolleposte open face sandwich, some fruit salad and a bite of pineapple bar. I actually had calories left when going to bed last night. I didn't get my olive oil in so I drank 1 Tablespoon of it, that put me over by 62 calories. Sunday: Breakfast menu/Fiber One (I didn't eat my usual breakfast, wanted to save the calories for the party) Calories...1,262 Calories burned...2,149 (I doubt that since I sat around all afternoon visiting) Fat...29% Activity...None, I only exercise 6 days a week, Sunday is a exercise free day. Saturdays Journal: Fiber One @ 4:15 a.m. Bologna Sandwich @ 8:30 a.m. Turkey bologna...25 calories. 12 grain lt. bread...80 cal. FF Miracle Whip...15 cal. lots of lettuce...5 cal. Total breakfast 181 calories Total for day...1,109 Calories burned...2,225 Activity...15 min. on Ski Machine Fat...20% Down 1/2 pound this morning. We have our immediate Christmas party today @ 11 a.m. (daughter, 2 grandsons, MIL, DH and myself.) Finally we get to open presents.:gift2: I don't know if I'll make good food choices today, we're having all hors d'oeuvres, BQ mealballs, cheese dips, crackers, all my favorite salty foods. I can pass sweets up anyday, but look out when you roll in the Buffalo wings! Oh! I'm making myself hungary! Have a fun day...Bobbi Bobbi |
Oooops, screwed up!
Sorry, I messed up. I thought I was on the "Keep it simple calories counting thread, that's why I posted my breakfast. A couple of us are posting our breakfast one whole week, then posting our lunches the next week, and so on.
See ya...Bobbi |
Oh Bobbi, you can post whatever you want. You just never know what'll keep someone else motivated!
Today is our last party ... Dh's extended family ... Tomorrow, we're off to the sunny south. I can hardly wait! I'm not sure about food. I think I can try not to overstuff and I know I'll be able to walk/jog at least once a day. |
I took I hiatus from fitday yesterday - now I am tempted to recreate but it wouldnt be pretty.

couldnt help myself....I said I wasnt going to but...3250 best guess
