hello ladies!

we had a great time in Laconia, got rained on many many times but that's OK

anyone who wants to see pics of me riding the mechanical bull, pm me and I'll email the pics

Are we all being hit by the "eating" vibes??? last night I couldn't get enough starches/carbs two small bowls of cereal, AND a bagel with PB!! yikes. enough of that!!

the "trend" of my husband treating me better is continuing...weird that I look at this at abnormal behavior, after so very long. It's nice, but I'm wondering how long it will last. But I'm enjoying every minute (shrug)

Amie, thanks for the description of YOUR future bike! N-I-C-E!!!

hello to everyone else

Yesterday I had a great lunch planned and prepacked. I got to work and the boss said to me you won't need your lunch today we have something coming in. We never get anything like that very often. Well a coworker was awarded employee of the month for doing a good job with a difficult case. So of course I couldn't eat my cottage cheese and peaches! I had veggie pizza a some wings. I did know enough not to over eat though. I saw how much intake others were having and thought there were many times that would of been me too! So I ate a healthy dinner of chicken marinated in citrus lemon/lime/garlic and sauted w/ 3 colored peppers and onions on a tortilla shell. Not so bad and tasted really good. Holly your ride sounded wet but lots of fun good for you getting away. Amie nice job! I am going away camping with the little ones this weekend. I plan on getting some swimming , walking and tanning done as well.
Take care everyone and keep up your good efforts. Every little change to the good makes a difference in the long run.

Holly-I definitely want to see mechanical bull photos!!! So glad to hear things are better at home, I REALLY am. You deserve it.

cacmsc-congrats on surviving the work lunch!! It sounds like you maintained control! Bravo!

Yesterday was grocery store day, and it was also cardio day. I went to the walkway and did 4 miles, jogging 1 mile of it. I am slowly trying to get into jogging as another one of my forms of cardio...it's tough though, and you definitely need good equipment (good specifically for running shoes, good sports bra, etc.)

Today is strength training day, and I usually manage to throw in a little cardio or yoga on strength training days as well.

I stayed 100% OP yesterday as well, and have really felt great.

I have also started added jogging to my routine aphil. I think I was just getting bored with the different machines at the gym. I am doing an 1/2 hour on the treadmill right now. 5 minutes walk, then 5 minutes jog - I've only been doing it a week so we'll see how I progress. I can feel it in different muscles than all my other cardio workouts.

My body apparently is very happy being obese. At 5'2" I need to be at 166 to get by BMI down to "not obese" level. Friday's are my official weigh in day. I have been so close for so long. I weigh every day, but only official count Friday's for my counters and various charts. Wednesday I was 166.(Yay! ) Today? On official weigh in day? 168.5? Up 1.5 from last week. I know it is probably because I was off work yesterday and didn't drink as much water as usual. It doesn't really matter if I know why, though. I just wanted to be not obese today!

This will help keep me on plan through the weekend. I am so close! We have a big family BBQ tomorrow. I plan on packing extra snacks like carrots and stuff to help me through it.

Good luck on getting through the family BBQ. I do the same strategy-bring a nutrition bar and fruit or veggies, as to have something to eat that is decent. If they end up having watermelong or grilled chicken or something, I will eat it-but if everything is bratwurst and potato salad, then I have something as a backup.

Hey everyone! Starting day 3 for me and still OP! I am visiting my family this weekend so that will be a major obstacle for me, but I am staying positive and really just need to watch my portion control. I don't know what it is about going home but sometimes I feel the need to graze nonstop for 3 days straight just because my mom did the cooking. I did my 3 miles yesterday and also did strength training in the gym later in the evening. I'm going back to the gym this afternoon to hit the treadmill for an hour. I got up a little later this morning and it was so HOT I decided it would be better to workout inside today. I'm also one of those non-tanners who wears a baseball hat and sunglasses along with the SPF 50 on my face, when I walk so I wont get any sun on my face. I'm only 32 and starting to stress about any signs of a wrinkle pathetic I know. But in GA that sun is SO strong...especially around 11 and 12:00. Everyone have a good day and an even better weekend!

Yesterday was my splurge day. (I do set a max amount of calories for these days and I record everything, don't want to undo my progress or get sick) Today I am just dragging! Lesson learned, I can splurge once a week, but next time to think volume of food not fatty sluggish food! I have walked 9/10 days. The day off I did light weights at home. I find if I walk before my computer gets turned on in the morning, I am much more likely to get my excersice in.

HI Ladies,
I have been doing good. OP and got in my workouts. I am so ready for my vacation. We are leaving this Thursday, driving to Maine. A two day trip. I want to work out today-Wednesday since I will be on the road. I got most of my packing done becouse it rained all weekend. I packed plenty of fruit, whole grian bread, turkey, Keshi cereal, waters, cucumbers, carrots and nuts to snack on. I am worried about going 7 days with out working out???? I am on the road 2 days there and 2 back only leaving 4 full days in Maine, so that means those day are planned right out from morning to evening.....I need to fit in a few days of exercise somewhere. I can say I will get up really early to do it , but we all sleep in and are not morning people plus this being a vacation? I really would like to be able to get up early and do it though. There is a gym and an indoor pool at our hotel so I have no excuse. Maybe if I get some laps done in the pool at some point in the day and force my self up really early one morning and get in a good work out in the gym I will be fine. I want to be able to enjoy my time there and we will be eating out a lot! No kitchen in the room. I though about doing my pilates DVD in the room on the way up and back. That is if the room has a DVD player?

Have a great week

Amie

Amie-I would take full advantage of the hotel gym and pool if you can. Even 20 minutes a day is better than nothing. Plus, on your sightseeing, I would walk as much as you can.

I am going to try! We stay gone a lot and usually jump up and leave then get home late? I will try to get up earlier or if we are in the pool do laps. We will be walking around here and there. We are bringing my DD to storyland in NH on Saturday. She is 4 so will love that!

Hello Everyone...are we all staying cool? The heat index here is supposed to be over 110 today....We had our home in a City Builders Show this weekend and had over 550 people through it, so we have been so busy! I did make it to weigh in and was down 2#, so now I am 3# from goal! The pants I have on today were so tight last year that they felt like they were cutting me in two, now they are actually loose! What a feeling! Hope all is well with everyone...take care!

Hi Ladies

Idealperson ~ CONGRATS on your pants being loose, great feeling Im sure. Good for you, and only 3 lbs from goal, thats great, cant wait until I can say that

What a great weekend up here in Maine, hot, hot, hot!!! But I loved every minute of it! You tend to not complain cause you know winter will be here before you know it, and I dont know about everyone else but I prefer 80-90 degree weather to -0 to -20 anytime!!! We (finace and I) went to the ocean both days and collected sea shells and sea glass and other little treasures we could find and have started a collection which is turning out to be nice! We also spent alot of time out at his moms at the lake, so alot of activity this weekend which is always a good thing And I got some color on these white legs

Food has been OP except for Saturday evening we went out to eat and I had baked scallops, YUM, they were awsome, and I only had the 1/2 order, (I know I could of eatten the whole though ) other than that though I have behaved myself pretty good....(patting self on back)

I have been weighing in out at his moms cause I like her scale better than mine and in a week it went from 153 to 151, so I lost 2 lbs, hehe....we are going out to her place with the kids tonight and I will weigh again just to see if it says it again (crossing fingers)

Amie, cant wait to see you Friday

You all have a great day, later.....

Hello you awesome women,
I'm reading up. But still not totally caught up.
Smiles about exercising before the computer gets turned on.
I had stopped writing down the calories again and that is a bad place to go. Last night I did a late night overeat thing. I am trying to make up for it today. I know that is not a good way of life. Generally, I have decided to not try and make up for binges - just continue to exercise and eat the right amount of calories. But I am still up 2 lbs from my chart and I am determined to get it back down under 210.
Amie - hallelulah 130
And others, breaking records too - yea.
Aphil - ab Yoga?

We go to Atlanta Thursday. My husband is jumping out of his chair ready to see his DGD. Way cool to see him like this. He says bring bathing suit. What a guy, no?

There are quite a few of you down from my type of weigh to 160's and below. It is so very encouraging.
