What was the "trigger" or incident that made you decide it was time to lose weight and become more fit? When I stepped on the scale multiple times and realized that I was over 160lbs and that it wasn't going away (160 was my highest weight in high school)

What was the "trigger" or incident that made you decide it was time to lose weight and become more fit?
I had some medical issues that were symptomatic of acid reflux disease. Everything I read about it said that I would feel better if I ate healthier and exercised more. Ironically, my medical issues ended up being due to allergies, so all this diet and exercise isn't helping with that at all. But I feel a lot better about myself anyway.
What do you struggle with the most on this journey to health? Not getting there fast enough.
What are three things in the area of diet/exercise you need to improve?
- Drink more water and less diet soda
- Squats. For some reason I just cannot do these in the proper form. It's become very frustrating.
- Less salt

What was the "trigger" or incident that made you decide it was time to lose weight and become more fit? When my clothes didn't fit. When my SIL had a baby and her post-pg weight/size was the same as mine, and I've never been PG!.
What do you struggle with the most on this journey to health? Exercise. I do great for a week, feel great, tell myself I love the way I'm feeling.... then I stop. Also I tend to binge - do good for a while, then BOOM! Eat everything in sight
What are three things in the area of diet/exercise you need to improve? 1. Consistent exercise 2. choosing better food - I stay within my calorie requirements but that doesn't mean I choose good nutrition! 3. cut back on sugar

What can you not wait to wear when you are at goal weight or size? I found a gorgeous sweater to knit that I'm going to make for myself when I hit goal. Also I promised DH I would get a bikini.

What are your fitness/health goals? Be fit and healthy for the rest of my life. I have diabetes on both sides of my family so that's a very legitimate concern and my mom who has the exact same body as I do has arthritic knees that have been exacerbated by years of being heavy.
What was the "trigger" or incident that made you decide it was time to lose weight and become more fit? First was going to the doctor and seeing that my weight started with a 2! But it took another year and a set of vacation pictured for me to realize how big I was. Then I moved out on my own and started a new lifestyle with my new life.
