Hi all! I will join up. I took a bit of a break from 3 fat chicks for the last month or so. Things have been pretty crazy around here. They're still crazy, but I feel like I'm ready to be back on the site.
My goal for June 1st:
-I'm WI at 148 right now. I'd like to get down to 146. We'll see.
-As far as exercise I'm working on building my joints up a bit. My body can run 3-4 miles, but outside my ankles don't like that. Today I started by running a mile. I want to slowly build up by adding distance gradually. By June 1 I'd like to be able to run 2-3 miles without ankle issues. We'll see how I do! Otherwise, I'll be working out at the gym too.
-Eating goals: Try to eat healthier again. Lately, I've been eating within my limit but my food choices each day haven't been the best. Part of that is due to the crazy things going on here, but things should be slowing down in the next week or 2.

Anyhow, I think this will be a good challenge!
Today I ate all of my calories by lunch time! (On the road) My goal tonight is basically not eat anything LOL. If I do decide to eat its veggies or some fruit. I know this sounds like punishment, but it really isn't. I want to prove to myself that I can stay within my limits or close to it. I enjoyed all the food I ate today, but I just don't feel like eating anything else!

Later chickies! I'll let ya'll know how I do!

Welcome to the forum, Walker! I'm a newbie here too.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Soooo, how's everyone doing on day 3 of May?
I'm keeping a low cal, high protein shake in my purse for times I can't sit and eat something planned.
Anyone else have a tip?
Hi everyone! Welcome to walker, ubskinnyagain75, tdiprincess and bridgettedavis! I'm so glad to have all this company
Last night was my first hard night back on plan. I did well all day until about 11pm and then I started having pizza cravings and just carbs in general. I'm a carb slave. I can't wait until I'm not so addicted to them anymore! I didn't give in though, I went to bed, which I normally would not have done.
I haven't been drinking nearly enough water. I think I had 32 oz yesterday-not good! Need to work on that...
EatMoreCelery, the shake is a good idea. Sometimes I keep some crackers in my car or if I know I'll be out for the day, I'll pack an apple, carrots, etc...
How is everyone else doing??
How is everyone else doing??
I started back up on my workout plan yesterday that was so effectively thrown off by injuries by the last few weeks, endurance is still good so that was reassuring...But like you, I had a snack attack and went over my cals for yesterday. I really did not want to admit that ....alas, I have to be accountable so I can take the mental note: when you are tired, just go to bed or you will snack on sugary treats trying to stay awake. ok, just needed to get that out....back to plan!
4star,
Thanks for mentioning water ... I really gotta do better on that! Because of you I got my water filter pitcher filled and chilled.
I have started something new~ I've cut back how much coffee I'm drinking because I only like coffee when it contains half & half and I know I'd be better off getting my fats from a healthier source.
Today I turned down cookies and M&Ms because I had not planned for them. Woot!
hey all!
Looks like everyone is doing well!
Last night went well. I can say that I did not eat anything except 2 or 3 strawberries. This is an NSV for me since in the past I would've still had dinner and probably a snack too. Guess we can call it intermittent fasting!
Today also went well. I was able to jog 3miles broken up into 1 mile intervals. I had no ankle or knee issues, so that is great! Next week I plan to keep to 1milers again. I'd like to do this 2-3 days a week. We'll see how it goes.
Anyhow.. I'm off to a volunteer construction project for the weekend and into next week, so I will not be around very much if at all. Have a great one guys!!
4star, those snack attacks really are brutal! it's hard for me to force myself to go to bed because the evenings are my "me time". My husband works nights and my daughter is in bed by 7:30, so I treasure that time to myself. Oh well, maybe i should put a sticky note on the tv and computer to remind myself to go to bed instead of ruin 3 days of progress!
EatMoreCelery, way to turn down those sweets! it's so hard to do that when they're right in front of you! Sweets are my downfall for sure
tdiprincess, way to stay on plan! glad to hear that you didn't have any ankle issues or anything!! good luck over the next few days!
Today was a good day, but again I haven't had nearly enough water. I know I'm dehydrated I just never remember to drink... I don't get it. My husband started his weekend today. I am not looking forward to the weekend. This will be the first one on plan. It's hard to stay on plan when doing "fun family things" usually means going and doing and eating... Guess I just need to strategize.
I had a big salad and only one slice of pizza (sooo proud of myself). Unfortunately now I'm hungry, guess I'll drink some water and see if it passes lol.
I'm in. I'd like to lose about 5lbs by June! I'll start weighing in within a week, when my weight is back to normal. And I guess I'll throw in another challenge; stay on track and say no to junkfood.
I've been doing IF for three weeks and so far its helped me control my snacking, which is what made me gain weight in the first place. It is usually really hard for me to resist my cravings whenever I 'diet', mostly because we live above a 24 hour gas station..and you know how much junkfood those places have.
Totally blew it last night with fried chicken. But this was the first time I went over in a while so maybe the damage won't be too bad. Hope everyone has a great day.
i'd love to join this challenge! my goal is going to be 1200 calories a day, which i can do without feeling hungry if i just eat my vegetables and drink enough water! i am also just getting back on the bandwagon. after losing 40 pounds last year, i've let myself gain 15 back. you're right fatbottomed girl, insanity is the only way to describe it! (ps love your profile picture - so funny!)
okay, so let the calorie counting/weight losing/pants zipping begin!
What a difference a day makes. Yesterday I was ready to throw in the towel because I was hungry, feeling stifled, and had little faith anything I was doing would actually make a difference.
Then this morning I weighed myself for the first time since Monday and saw I was already down 3 pounds! I realize it won’t always be this way, but it definitely helped motivate me when I needed it most.
Here’s hoping all you other May challengers get a nice surprise the next time you step on the scale! (and thanks, magsabags, for the avatar compliment… my motto is: if you can’t laugh at yourself, then you’re pretty much screwed )
I'm in! May 1st I weighed in at 328, and today I weighed in at 320! I would have to say my goal by June 1st is to be in the 200's, so I would like to lose 25 pounds by June 1st.
