Anyways... still way to go! 19 miles a week is fantastic! I got back on the treadmill yesterday during Jeopardy. Haven't been doing it for the last couple months. I think I'm ready to start up for reals now! I signed up to walk/jog a 5k at the end of April. I know I can walk that far already, just want to get down to a non-embarrassing time! :D

Gotta get the hormonal bloat off and my official first TREAT meal last night for Vday!!! ...and believe me today I am was super bloated. At least you only gain 1 -1.5 pounds when you have a treat meal. I was always afraid because I am used to seeing the scale go up 3-4 pounds.. Even though its water... its STILL SCARY!!!!!

So we'll see if the experiment works on me too!!!!

Hope you are doing well!!!!!!

I fit into my skinny jeans today!!! I didn't expect to fit them...I just wanted to see how "close" I was to fitting them so I tried on a pair. They fit and not too tight...so I tried on another pair (figuring it was a fluke) and they FIT TOO!!!:carrot:

Also, I took some pics today...and when I compared them with the ones I posted a few weeks ago, I see a big difference. Here they go:

Hi Joyful,

watching you has inspired me so much. I have gotten stuck in middle town of my goals....herniated some discs in my back on the way. I've been following your progress for only a month and have accepted the fact that i need to be a calorie counter because i cant just say "oh i'll run tonight" while my back gets better. You've done really well and I hope some of that mojo of yours rubs off on me :):carrot:

I'm finally going to take my bloodwork at 8:30a.m. today. One year ago, my cholesterol was over 300, I had high blood pressure (which now is normal), I developed GASTRITIS (which is now gone), and I was even actually placed on cholesterol lowering drugs (statins), water pills, and blood pressure medications (which I quit after taking for a month because I HATE drugs and refused to believe that I couldn't do this with eating healthy and exercise). To make matters worse, my Vitamin D count was only 7.5 (supposed to be at least 35)! I had to take 50,000 btu of vit. D for 5 months! I was in pretty bad shape.

It will be interesting to see how my body (internally) has changed with 5 months of healthy eating and moderate exercise. Stay tuned....

DEDIKAYTED 02-16-2011 09:23 AM

DAY OFF

I feel like my body is getting ready for a whooosh (wishful thinkin...who knows:?:) Getting a little anxious about getting down to the last 10 lbs...donno if my body's going to "freeze up" and start fighting me or what! I DO know that my bf% is getting very low as I have virtually no visceral fat left to pinch...usually when this happens...I have to fight for every pound lost! We'll see. Next weigh in is Monday.:)

Just don't psych yourself out! The brain is powerful! Don't believe that the last 10 will be hard.. You have done so well on your journey so far and I dont see why the last 10 should be any different. Just stay the course like you have been doing..fully trusting that YOUR WAY works...and I think that your body will cooperate.

I feel like you are going to have a whoosh soon too! :carrot:

I am hoping we BOTH DO! It would be lovely if I could get out of the 140's this month!!!! I am trying to think of little things that have worked for me in the past to get these last 3-4 pounds off to knock me over to the 130's. We both know that I got the execise part down... So I just need a little tweak here or there to really push me over the edge.. :) And I plan to do just that!

First plan - try to have my last meal a little earlier in the day.. like I was doing before. It worked before.. so let's see..............

Have a great day!

Wow, I can't wait to get to that point!!! LOL!!!

And I agree with Dedikayted...don't let your mind take over and make yourself think that the last 10 pounds are going to be the hardest...psyche yourself up for the challenge and you'll blast right through it!

Heres The oatmeal bar recipe. I subbed the applesauce with crushed pineapple and add thin slices of apple. now I cooked this in a 8 x 11 glass baking dish.and cooked till the top was crisp, but when I cut them after cooled the bottom was soggyish. so I cut them up flipped
them over and baked them again till they crisped up. I was thinking about tring them in muffin tin, The glass baking dish might have had some thing to do with it. They aren't to bad and heather then the processed stuff. Its one of those recipes to tweak till you find it the way you like it. I am also going to try and bake like a cookie and see how that goes maybe get a little crisper that way.

2 cup uncooked oatmeal
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp table salt
1 cup fat-free skim milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup Splenda
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon ( I add more(at least 1T)or use apple pie spice)
Add banana or berries if you like,

Preheat oven to 350* Combine wet ingredients and add dry ingredients.
Bake in sprayed 8" square pan for 35-45 minutes or in muffin tins for 20 minutes.
Keeps well in refrig. or freezer. It's good cold or warm
