Wednesday's calories: 1630. Exercise: 1 hr. body sculpting class
Calories were over plan yesterday - frustration with the scale is hurting me. Glad I' m changing things up on Saturday. Plan for today is to keep it under 1500 calories. 1 hour Zumba! class tonight. |
Morning all. Doing good so far for the week. TOM reered it's ugly head at me this morning. :( It wipes me out, exhaustes me, and just plan hates me. I will not let it take me down though!

Just finished my workout and looking forward to a great calorie day. I will only eat 1200 calories today. So far I'm on track.

Already planned my dinner, so I will have 1200 cal. by the end of the day. That's good if I can stick with it. It's been so hard for me lately, I've been depressed and down for two days. I feel like my kids just hate me & don't want to be bothered with me anymore( long story). I know eating won't make it better & I don't want to sabotage myself over this. But I want junk food so bad, good I having nothing here, but I'm very tempted to go buy every cake, cookie & candy that looks good to me & sit down and eat it all!

Hey all, got a loss, not as much as I wanted...guess I'll have to get used to this slower loss of around a pound a week? Wouldn't mind losing a little more some weeks...but at least losing is losing.. I'm down to 66.4kg/146.5 pounds.
I'm so hungry today, but that's probably because I had a small breakfast and haven't eaten lunch yet. Luckily I had a low cal day yesterday and a few the days before - going out for dinner tonight to a Thai restaurant. |
Wow, busy couple of days at work (new semester Monday)...missed my daily dose of 3FC this morning!
Ending my day a little low at 1350 cals today, but taking a rest day from the exercise. Will make it up this weekend to get my 5 days in this week...it's just really hard to overcome the physical and mental block of getting moving with this weather. Coldest night of the year coming up tonight....32 below...that's straight up, without windchill! We don't have students tomorrow, so I predict they will still make us (staff) come in, IF our cars start in the morning, lol. Supposed to get all the way up to zero or so by mid-day...break out the sunscreen! WI is tomorrow, keeping my fingers crossed! Well, I think I might do a little yoga before bed...stay warm all! |
Thursday: 1040 calories, 1 hr. Zumba! class
I was ridiculously happy to see 139.2 on the scale this morning:carrot:. Friday is my official weigh-in day, so I got to change my ticker! Down 1.8 for the challenge so far, and trying to lose 4.4 more to get under 135. Starting my fat smash/clean eating tomorrow. We are getting still more snow as I type, and schools have delayed openings, which means we have to drag our son to our closing(doing a re-fi to shorten our mortgage term) and then I have to run him back to school. Luckily I had made arrangements to work from home. Wow, northern, 32 below? We're in the teens here and freezing our a$$es off - so impressed you manage to even leave the house in that weather! rainbow, a lb. a week is great - congrats! fruit, how old are your kids? They do go through stages where it feels like they hate us. Of course my stepkids have been in that stage with me for years - they're young adults now. My son is 7 and still tells me I'm the best. wtg, jiggle! great attitude, megems! Happy Friday to all!!! |

As predicted, they made us come to work on time today, in spite of the fact that I had -36 on the thermometer in my Jeep this morning!! Yes, folks, it is COLD out there! Modest loss this week, down 1.3 lbs to 191.8 (calling it 192 on my ticker.) Was hoping for a bit more since I got done with TOM earlier this week...but slow progress is better than no progress, I guess. Really want to get out of the 190's. I made onederland back in November and here it is January and still in the 190's! I guess it could be worse considering the holiday season, but I am ready to move on. Here's hoping everyone has a GREAT weekend! |

Been a rough couple days. I had to get the people at the daycare together so they don't think they aren't being watched and I demand accountability. Now that we got them on task...I can move on without distraction.
I weigh in on the 31st and that is about 10 days away. I'm hoping to see that last 5 pounds gone so that I can work on loosing 5 more before the end of the challenge but we will see. |
natamars- my son is 25 & my daughter is 16. My son & I didn't get along since he was a teenager. He had many bad habits that I couldn't live with. I'm afraid my daughter & I will have the same bad relationship, she's an honor student w/ no bad habits though.
Lost 4 lbs of water, that shocked me this morning. My calories were 1442 today, I've been going over my limit by 100 for two days. All the stress has caused me to eat more fruit, I just love it! at least it's fruit I'm eating. Did 40 min. on the exercise bike this morning, it's so cold here, don't want to go outside to walk. Single digit temps for the next 3 nights, i think they said 0 deg. for tomorrow night. I want spring, I will be outside all the time! |
I am ready for spring as well. I miss jogging, which is so funny since last year at this time I never imagined that I would ever be able to jog.
My new 5th graders shared their stomach bug with me. I am hoping that my stomach is more settled today. I hope you all have a great weekend! |
Friday: ~2300 calories(planned high-cal dinner). No exercise.
I felt SO lazy yesterday. School was delayed so I worked from home and I just sat onmy couch on my laptop all day. I think it's all the cold and the snow, just sapping my energy away. Started Fat Smash today. Already missing the sugar. So far today I've had oatmeal w/ blueberries, a banana, salad, red lentils, rice, 1/2 a cup of juice(it is supposed to be fresh-squeezed but mine isn't so I limit to 4 oz. a day), and edamame. Trying to drag my butt off the couch to the gym - I know I'll feel bad if I don't. |
Got my exercise in this morning, 40 min. on the bike, going quite fast. Eating extra calories for 3 days in a row doesn't seem to harm my weight, lost .6 oz anyway. I hope it doesn't all of a sudden catch up w/ me. Today I'll end up at 1250 cal. which is my normal amount. Take Care!

FPSJ Keep on keeping on ;) jiggle You can do it! envelope Hope you feel better! ~Yesterday was kind of a failure calories wise, but I had a great time with my boyfriend and friends and I don't go out like I did last night all that often. I consumed a total of 2180 calories, 845 of which were from alcohol. We had a great meal at a Mexican restaurant and then went to a club where a friend of ours was DJing. We were out until nearly 4am. If I stick to around 1300 calories today I can even it out for the week, so it should be fine. My loss from Friday's weigh in is still sticking...and I think it's ok to let loose every once in a while. |

Susie - I don't remember you being all or nothing before. Maybe go back to the first challenges you were a part of and read through the posts. I think I joined the challenge after Valentines day last year and it was my first challenge. I was planning to go back to my posts from back them. I was feeling like I've just lost my committment I had when I first started. I used to be in places where everyone was eating junk and pass but now I'm more willing to join in on the junk food party. So I gotta it together before Superbowl Sunday. YOU CAN SO DO THIS GIRL.
Lori - There is someone at my job that I want to walk past and feel like that. So I'm still working on going in the direction of my size 10. I also will be adding to my goal no jiggles on my back and stomach. What did you do? It may be that my loss has gotten slower because I was praying not to have any saggy skin so God is helping me slow my loss...my skin is a little older than yours and has been in this shape a LONG time. I know at least when I was in Jr High it was like that. So I've been in my calorie range and feeling like I need something to get back to my initial behaviors from last year this time. I think had I got off when we were snowed in then I went on vacation this past week. Going back to work tomorrow will help me because I won't have so much idle time. I'm praying for myself. I'm also going to be trying something to see how it goes then next seven days. If it works I'll let you guys know what it is...nothing risky or unhealthy though. |
Hey everyone! Missed you all! Something wacky is going on with our hard drive ~ it is still broken, but luckily my mom had an extra one to get me by!
Been doing good. Staying on track with calories & exercise. TOM has not been good to me, except because I am bloated I am less hungry. I have been 200-300 under my daily calorie intake for the last few days. The only day I didn't get in any exercise this week was Thursday. I live in a Ohio, and we got pounded with about 6' of snow. Once I finally made it home from work, I decided not to head to the gym. Although weigh in for me is Tuesday, I weighed myself this morning, and it looks like I will at least be down. I will be glad when TOM leaves!!! Have a great Sunday everyone! |
I am feeling much better today, but I am exhausted. I am just going to straighten the house a bit, and take it easy today.

My first goal was to be 199 or less by February 16th (my Birthday) but I think I can do it by Valentine's Day. I weigh on Wednesday and last week weighed in at 203 so I'm getting close.:) |

Blah weekend. I'm working a lot (it'll be busy through the end of April) and I only really get one day a week to relax as I work Saturdays during this time, and quite frankly I don't want to have to think about food. I find it so much harder to make healthy choices when I'm this busy - I just want to eat whatever I want to eat, but at the same time I really don't want to stay at this weight - can't have both those things! I did plan my food for the week and went to the store so at least I managed to do that. I'm prepping my lunches for the week and dinner is a frozen meal (too much sodium, I know, but it's better than eating out which would be my other choice and that for sure is not such a good option!). My aim for busy season is usually just not to gain weight, so anything that I lose is going to be an added bonus.
I am, however, sticking with my workout plan of every weekday at 5:30am, because I find that helps me get through my day with a much higher energy level - and heaven knows, I need that! |

Just a quick check in...been pretty good on calories this weekend, a little over (but I plan for my weekends to be a little higher.) Didn't do any "formal" exercise today, but did clean my house...so I will count it! Supposed to warm up a bit this week, yep, we're talking ABOVE zero, folks! lol. Is January over yet? It's so cold here too, tonight it's going down to 0 degrees as the actual temp, who knows what the wind chill will make it feel like. A big snow storm may be headed out way too, on Tues. night. So, i have been riding the bike for exercise instead of out walking, today I did 60 min. Trying to get this weight off, i am just having real bad cravings for junk food lately, I don't understand it. It's not TOM, just got over it. Had 1175 today, yesterday I got 2 pieces of cake at the Farmer's Market, ate them both in the car, so of course my weight is up again!

Sunday: 1160 calories. 40 minutes on the treadmill, walking/jogging/incline, 2.6 miles total.
Starting Day 3 of Fat Smash Detox. The sugar cravings were not quite as bad yesterday. Eating a lot of oatmeal, salads, beans, and brown rice. Have also been getting in 2 servings of fruit a day, which is something I struggle with. fruit, it is freezing here too! It was 6 this morning. I saw people running outside yesterday and they looked miserable. I've seen some of your posts and it sounds like you're maintaining on very low calories - is that correct? How many calories were you eating when you were losing? northern, that cold weather has hit us now - it's so miserable! jules, maintaining during your busy season is a great goal. it is so hard to stay on any kind of plan when you;re stressed and working such long hours. k15, great job! rainbow, you're going to knock that goal into the ground! I hope all of you that are snowed in get lots of sun and heat so it'll melt. It is all gone here in Atlanta but the salt they put down still remains and there is lots of it. I had a pretty good weekend and now I'm back at work and on my routine!! I actually started lifting weights this past weekend and now I'm a little sore. But I'll count that as progress. I went over my cals yesterday by 180 and am not doing so good today. I can still salvage it if I get my head back in the game and get some exercise in. Just feeling a little out of whack today and can't seem to pull myself together.:dizzy: Congrats to all who are doing so well! |
natamars- When dieting i was eating only 800-1050 cal a day. I didn't know anything about how many calories to have. I'm only 5'3 & I'm older(42), so I don't lose on high calories. Now I lose if I eat 1170-1270 calories only if I eat whole clean foods, so at least i can eat more.
Had 1270 cal. today, right on target. Rode the bike for 41 min. & went 9 mi. I was going pretty fast. I've been eating clean for 2 days, I should see a loss again tomorrow. |

January has seemed pretty long so far but I guess I don't have cold weather making it bad! jiggle Yay for being back on track and getting in your weightlifting - sore is definitely good unless you injured yourself - which I'm guessing you didn't, so yay! ~Finally got to move my ticker down to 66kg which is 145.5 pounds. Only 2.2 pounds away from my goal for this challenge, I'm thinking now I may surpass it! I'm starting to get kind of apprehensive - I feel like my goal is not set low enough because I can't seriously see that another 11kg / 24 pounds is going to make all that much difference in my body - and I definitely want my stomach, thighs and arms to be a lot smaller than they currently are! |
I was able to pull myself together earlier. Once I dumped my soda down the drain and got my head back in the game I was able to exercise and eat healthy the rest of the day. Whew! Crisis averted!:carrot:

Hi everyone! I know I'm not stopping in as offten as I was at the beginning but things are just busy, crazy, and plus still in alot of pain. Dont know if it from my fall on dec 13 or its the cold weather. Anyway hope everyone has been doing great. I'm hanging in there, keeping calories down, and ive added another day of water arobics. So thats 4 days. We start our zumba gold on monday the 31st and i'm getting really excited just hope my knees will let me do it. :dance::wave::dust:

I thought I would have a higher calories day yesterday but things were so rushed when I got home from work that I never got to eat. And then wehn I got back from the gym I wasn't hungry. I look like a different person from 140 to 130. So just keep working toward your goal. fruit, we are exactly the same age and height! the calories do sound low - when I lost weight last year, I was usually between 1000-1400. I am hoping I can maintain at closer to 1800, but my goal weight is much higher than yours. I'm on my 4th day of strictly clean eating, but at some point I'll go back to 80-90% clean. jiggle, how did you like the weights? did you do a class or are you doing it on your own? Morning all! Weighin was today! Down another 2.8 this week, for a total of 8.4 for the challenge. I wanted to lose 14 total, so that leaves me with 5.6 still to lose for the challenge. I have been good with at least 2+ pounds/week, let's hope I can keep it up.
TOM is over! :D I can get my energy back. Tomorrow, I will be getting back into my morning workouts. Did really good this past week with a few of those, and hit the gym every day but last Thursday, thanks to our huge snow storm. I am finding that the weather is taking a not so good toll on my exercise workout. I have been going straight to the gym each night after work, as not to go home and distract myself and not end up going. But the last morning workout I did was last Wednesday (TOM had some to do with this). I am just getting cabin fever, and when my alarm goes off at 5:30 to get up for my a.m. workout, I just snooze away! I am ready for Spring!!! I will make myself get up in the morning! I WILL! |

Natamars - I'm going it alone. I've done the lose weight so many times and had a couple trainer so I kinda know what I need to do and making sure I keep my form correct. I like it and I'm hoping I get good results in my arms, back and sides. :lifter: Lost - You will be able to get it done...stay focused. :dizzy: Big Mama - Don't over do it because it would be tragic if you further injure yourself. I think you have been doing great though. Gettin - YAY for getting back on track. :carrot: Yesterday was a great day. Ended the day at 1400 calories, did my lunch time workout on the eliptical and drank 96 ounces of water. Hoping for the same kind of day as well as keeping my calories in check...maybe under 1300...we'll see. Have a great day and let's stay focused!! |
