Hi All,
About to head out for exercise so thought I'd check in. My Jan 1st weight was 130lbs, and I want that a pound or two lower by Val day. I need to be careful with counting and keep up with exercise to get there. I think I'll also be more careful about sodium intake. I average 2000mg or so a day. Fruitlady, I am amazed that you can keep this around 700mg. I'll need to examine which of my foods are adding up to more. Hope everyone has a good week. Stay strong ! |
Ok, I'm late to join this challenge, but would love to participate. I'm not going to post my goals because when I do that, they never seem to happen. So, my plan is to stay on plan and fit exercise in when I can.... those actually sound like goals lol... oh well. I have been on a downward spiral since Thanksgiving and I didn't stay on plan once. So, now I'm ready to get back at it!! I really would like to be able to wear shorts this summer and actually enjoy myself. When I think back to last summer, there are so many things I have missed out on.. not this year!! Let's do this!! :)

Afternoon Ladies,
Today is a slow day at work so I have a few. This morning I was desperate for food, I stayed at the bf's and didn't prepare for the week, which I will tonight, so I went to Subway to get one of their breakfast sandwiches, I had it all counted out....umm apparently they stopped that 2 weeks ago! I didn't get the memo. So I went to Panera Bread and got their Power Breakfast Sandwich, it was the lowest calorie breakfast sandwich they had at 330 calories. I got a regular coffee, and added splenda. Didn't need a snack, so for Lunch I got a Footlong Veggie Delite from Subway, no cheese, and oil and vinegar. MMMMMM. Been chugging down the water today, trying to "Depoof" before my official weighin tomorrow. If i can get out an hour early from work I will hit the gym which is right down the street from my work. I'm excited to get back in the swing of things. It's hard cuz i get off of work at 6pm and by that time it's so dark outside and I have an hour drive home, no energy to workout, but i'm trying to get past that. Northern: Good to hear from you again! I love your goals for the week. Starting small and evaluating after your weighin is awesome! Woodland: I agree with looking at the sodium in foods. I'm trying to stay around 1500mg for a couple of weeks to get the bloat down from the holidays, but i do have alot of sodium in my diet. there are great ways to cut it out once you examine what you are eating. This morning's weigh-in (126.4) was a disappointment. I'm still a 3 solid lbs up from my lowest weight pre-holidays. Going to continue hydrating, eating on plan, and sticking to my exercise regimen. I've added Bikram yoga to my routine, primarily for the warmmmmm :) It's cold here! Hahaha Going to go get my 3 mile run in, and stopping @ grocery store on way back for fruits, veggies, and other on-plan supplies. Then, off to work tonight. Have a good, on-plan day! -FPSJ |

1235 calories yesterday, and 40 minutes on the treadmill. Was feeling very depressed yesterday - we took the tree and all the decorations down :-( My son and I were moping around, but dh loved it!
So far so good today - at just over 800 caloires(my goal is to eat very little once I get home from work). But now I'm feeling achy and am hoping it is a combination of soreness from Satuday's muscle workout and cramps(fun) and not that I'm coming down with something again. My son was sick over the weekend... |
woodland- if your eating any processed food, then you are most likely getting your sodium that way. I eat mostly fruit, veggies, yogurt, unsalted nuts, 1 serving of fiber one cereal in the morning & lean protein. The yogurt, cereal & lean protein have the most sodium, I will only buy snacks with really low sodium also. Hope this helps
Had 1228 cal. today, I have to lower my calories permanently. I think the reason I am having so much trouble getting back down to 108lbs is that my calories are about 100 more a day than they should be. I keep very close records of my weights and calorie intake. I was looking over it tonight & found that if my calories were in between 1170 & 1270, I was able to maintain at 108. It will be hard to get used to, but not letting my weight creep up is far more important to me. Told my family today that I will not be buying junky food for them anymore. If they need something sweet, I'll bake something healthy. I cleaned out the fridge & pantry, got rid of all their sweets & processed stuff. They are probably mad at me, but I feel it will benefit us all. I want to keep them healthy, I feel this need to protect them. Whole food only in this house! |
I did it! Day one I took in 1600 calories and burned 274 at the gym

JD: nice to see you again too! FPSJ: I'm right there with you on working off the holiday bulge. I will find out Friday what the damage is (hopefully get rid of some of it this week and never know it was there, lol.) Everyone else (new and old): let's start 2011 with a bang!! As for me: I had about 1530 calories yesterday, did a 2 mile WATP video and 15 minutes yoga. Tonight I'm thinking elliptical and weights. Feels good to get back in the groove! |

Quick check in before work starts. So I had my official weighin this morning... 134.2. It's bad, but to be honest when I was on the scale I kinda had a sigh of relief, just because I know this past weekend I thought I was 138, and as of last January when I weighed in I was 123.4 so a lil over 10 lbs difference. Still gives me hope, so I know I lost water weight yesterday, and I plan to go to the gym today. it will be interesting to see Friday my progress of getting the bloat off. This wednesday is my Dart league Night. Which is lots of drinking and eating bar food. So I'm going to have to suck it up and keep to the plan. Ok have to start work, I will post more in a few... |

Feeling a little sleepy today. I got my workout in this morning and will be going to the gym in a few minutes. I'm tracking everything I put in my mouth so I can get to my goal. JD - Glad to see you back and I know you will stay focused. As life happens just remember to take care of you in every way. We have a tendency to forget that. the holidays were a weight loss disaster!! i had gotten down to 236...this morning it was 247...my goal for this challenge is to get to 230...i'm pretty sure that getting back below 240 won't take long so i'm confident that i can reach this goal...good luck everyone!!

Day 3 of being back to counting and writing everything down. Ended up at 1,220 calories. Only did 30 minutes on the elliptical and didn’t push too hard(burned about 185 calories) because I feel all achy like I might be coming down with something. I also walked for 15 minutes on my lunch hour – very proud of myself since it is FREEZING here and I hate the cold!
So far so good – decided I will brave the scale Friday, which has always been my regular weigh-in day. I know it won’t be pretty, but it is what it is. For next week I really want to get in some more fruits and veggies. My problem is I can’t stand eating them alone, esp. fruit – I get this gnawing feeling in my stomach and I’m hungrier than ever! I like a little peanut butter with apple or banana and some crackers with grapes. I’ll keep looking for ideas before I shop this weekend. david, I'm sure a lot of that weight will come back off easily. I'm back to my food journal and see that I haven't weighed in since 11/19, and that number was higher than I remembered - ugh! fattofab - 3 lbs. already is awesome!!! Northern, we can cry together on Friday! I am dreading seeing that number, and that will be AFTER a week of being on plan! |
Welcome To all those joining and coming back for another go! I have missed Y'all I aint see in awhile...I have been one busy momma..First My daughter is going through a teenage Girl something~AGGRAVATE YOUR MOMMA ISSUE I WOULD CALL IT ~LOL!(& it continues most days~LOL LUCKY ME~she will be 18 in 5 months) She has lost weight down to a size 2(from a 16/18 Where I switched the food) also & is now got boys lined up & Likes the one That is 2 years younger...??? & The one I pulled her outta school over then placed her back in & Now I just gave in & said if ya wanna have him go for it ~& I think she is bored with him already~OMG ~US GIRLS ARE COMPLICATED! So far all is good with my 2 sons though ~but ya never know ~LOL~I Am through this, My anxiety issues, My hubbys RA , & the holidays still Maintaining & doing good~THANK GOD! I think I am a stubborn Yet a very determined person....When in doubt think of anyone that ever called u fat & eat right to rub it in there face!(I know it's crazy but it so works for me ~but I still live in the same town where I grew up ~LMBO!!)

lori- that's such a good idea, think of the people that ever called you fat & stay on plan to rub it in their face. That sounds like something I would do, why didn't I think of that?
My calories were 1270, right at my limit for today. Lost .5 lbs of the 1.5lb gain I had from eating too much peanut butter two days ago. That stuff is my weakness, that's why i never buy it, I make my own. Walked 35 min. at 4.5miles per hour, I was actually sweating even though it was 36 degrees outside. I'm gonna ride the stationary bike tonight after dinner to speed up the metabolism. If you exercise within 1 hr. of eating a meal you speed your metabolism up 15% more, all you need is 10 to 15min of exercise according to Jillian Michaels. I happen to be doing this since I started dieting, I did it on my own, it seemed to work so I stuck with it. Now I actually know why it works. If I can't walk anywhere after dinner, then I ride the bike. You guys should try it. |

We went out of town this morning to bring one of our grown daughters to east tx for a few days, think were suppose to take her back to central tx saturaday. Im still here and doing grrrrrrreat! Im feeling good with my eating and my workouts this week. I did slip up on Saturday but other than that been doing good. Im REALLY proud of myself! OH AND BEST OF ALL...im not weighing everyday. Hey ladies, slow-going getting back into it. I'm counting the calories but not eating the best foods. Spent the afternoon at the Zoo today so I'm hoping all that walking around counts as exercise, I'm too pooped to do anything else! It's pretty warm down here in NZ at the moment.

Having a hard time excercising. Almost TOM and my "lady friends" are swollen/tender (overshare haha)...even with a sports bra. How do you ladies deal, especially the runners?

Yesterday went OK. Ended the day at 1,410 calories, but 300 of them were chocolate, which is too many – trying to limit the junk to 10%. I think I’m trying to comfort myself because I really do feel like I’m coming down with something AGAIN. That’s what derailed me in December – I missed two full weeks at the gym. Since then I’ve exercised almost every day, which is supposed to be the number one thing to prevent you from catching colds and flu – has not worked for me! I decided to take last night off from working out (and only did 5 minutes of stair climbing at the office) and watched Biggest Loser in bed.
I have healthy food packed for today and am planning to go to the gym no matter how I feel, even if I just get in half an hour of cardio. gracesmomma, GOOD FOR YOU for not even waiting until the next day when you had a slip-up! Most people would give themselves a free pass for the rest of the day! bigmamatexas, great goal for V-Day! Good luck! Hope everyone has a great day! |
Been MiA as well, have been watching what I eat but not counting the calories. Today will start tracking what I have been eating. Catching up on the post and sounds like everyone is getting back to normal life after the holidays.

natamars: I hope you feel better. I understand, regardless of me trying to eat healthy and exercise I still get sick. Rest up and don't overdo it :smug: WeightForMe: for me it will depend on the type of exercise I do if I'm "tender". so if I can't wear the sports bra, and have to do some like yoga at home and not bouncing around then Ill do that until I can go back to normal. Im right before TOM too. Good Luck and take good care of the "ladies" rainbowstripe: being accountable for what you eat is the first step, even if it's not healthy. I went to the gym again last night, and I will before my Dart league tonight. Doing good with calories, drinking lots of water, no pop, watching sodium. I had a higher count of sodium yesterday, which I saw I gain .6 however I weighed in at a different time than usual, today's my early day at work. I'm still proud of myself and I know it will be a process. One step at a time. First work out tonight before Darts, and try to eat before hand to avoid bar food, and try not to drink tonight. I will worry about tomorrow later. I'm so excited my bf is coming to pick me up for lunch today, and he's coming to support me for Darts. He got me a REALLY NICE dart set for Christmas..I've been borrowing my friends, didn't have a set of my own and he spent so much time researching and asking questions to get the the perfect set! the First time I tried the out last week and got a low-ton my first turn...that means I got 120 points off the bat. I play 301, if any of you know what that is. Well have to get back to work. I will check in later....oh....any one know about nutrition for sushi? I love it! and want to know how I can make it healthy or is it or what? Thanks :hug: |

Sorry I'm a little late joining this one, but I'm so glad we're all back for another challenge! As for me: Ended yesterday at about 1550 calories. Did 20 minutes elliptical, 20 minutes yoga but only about 5 minutes weights. Tonight I think it's my 3 mile WATP video. Oh, I thought you guys might get a kick out of this....when we were in Laughlin, I got CARDED...not once, but TWICE! (Once on the casino floor, and then a couple nights later at dinner when I ordered a drink.) I am 37 years old! People keep telling me I look younger since I've lost weight, but for anyone to mistake me for 21 (or anywhere NEAR 21)....I think they need to get their eyes checked, lol. Nonetheless, it was a nice little ego boost :) Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday! |
I'm back y'all. I know I keep saying that, but I've got to get recommitted.
My Valentines day goal is: 1. Check in and post on 3fc daily - top priority. 2. Fit in my size 10 jeans comfortably again. 3. Stick to consistant exercise. Treadmill and new kettle-bell workout. 4. Weigh in consistantly - no more avoiding the scale. I'm TOM right now, so when it's over in a few days I'll re-weigh. I haven't weighed since right before T-giving. |

Well after falling off plan for the last three challenges I've decided I need more support so I'm joining weight watchers tomorrow. I need the face the scale in front of someone else to keep me honest. Plus I enjoy the meetings as well. This should give me the push I need to stay on track. I'll be back tomorrow with my goals for v-day. |
did well yesterday....already walked today...when i got up yesterday the scale said 247...today 242 so if i continue to lose 5 lbs a day, i'll be at goal next week...or maybe i need a new scale! have a great day everyone

susieyarb- Welcome back! We're all draggin' our feet to get back on track. No worries! I plan to try and post here daily with positive intentions, too. bbrrrrrr, so cold here!! Have been doing really well this week with calories, and Bikram is going well. I plan on taking a class in a few hours. Weighing in tomorrow morning.... hoping for good news. Lots of stressful (but positive) stuff is happening/in the works, and I notice that with this stress comes the urge to snack. I'm making an effort lately to get comfortable with a.) waiting to eat to see if it's just an emotion I'm feeling, and b.) actually tolerating the feeling of being hungry (which I HATE, I'd rather be cold!! haha) Anyone else working on this? jdonato Thanks for the encouragement. I'm ready for healthy foods, they're just not around at the moment hah! As for your sushi question - I think it's generally pretty healthy? I eat some salmon sushi from a sushi place by my work every so often, and it's 45 calories per small piece + soy sauce - I guess the sodium is not the best thing, but it's not like you drown it in soy sauce...and you can get lower sodium soy sauces as well.

I get carded every single time I try to go somewhere, but I'm only 24 and look pretty young so I kind of understand - the drinking age here is 18 though, so I still get annoyed sometimes - I wonder when you pass the line from annoyance to feeling flattered? I feel like I'm always going to look like a baby! ~Unfortunately reached 1800 calories yesterday, which is my usual limit for a cheat type of day..and yesterday was not meant to be one of those days! The stupid thing about it is that nearly 400 calories of those were from alcohol - summer and socialising is going to take it's toll! I should be able to make a deficit with the next few days since I'm not planning on going out at all, but my hunger is seemingly insatiable and it's kind of frustrating. I am so unhappy about going back to work tomorrow. |

susieyarb- Welcome back! As for me, i had 1250 cal. lost .7 lbs. This is fat weight I gained, I was afraid of that. The last 2lbs. were, that's why it's taking so long to lose. I have been eating clean for 11 days, I feel great not eating junk in so long. I was craving chocolate so bad today, I don't have any junk food in the house so I could'nt have any. I'm so glad |
Rainbow: I remember being annoyed in my 20's too. I think by about 30 you start feeling flattered :) I remember getting carded on my 30th birthday...needless to say he got a good tip, lol.

HEY GUYS!!! I'm BAAACK! LoL It made me feel a LIL better that I wasn't the only one MIA for the last few challenges (Hey SUSIE & LOSING!!!) But, as of today, I'm back ON TRACK!! I've been gone since about September and during that time, have gone through a divorce...actually just finalized it yesterday!!! As I Posted in a new thread I started tonight, I weighed in at the GYN on Monday at 190...now I know that this is not accurate based on all the alcohol I had over the holiday weekend AND the sodium!! Plus, it's not MY scale...soooo, I plan to CHUG CHUG CHUG the water this week and come Monday, I'm going to get an official WI! I'm sure I've gained atleast 10-15lbs since September bc my jeans are getting TIGHT!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
My Valentine's day goals are as follows: 1-Get back ON PLAN - start with tracking calories 2-SIGN INTO 3FC DAILY 3-Re-Evaluate my Daily Calorie Goal 4-START EXERCISING AGAIN!!! I've actually missed working out AND NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS WOULD THINK I'D SAY I MISSED EXERCISE!!! haha I'm not setting a Weight goal as I feel I will get discouraged...I just want to get back ON TRACK and start losing again...slowly working towards that 150lb mark!!! Sorry for being MIA since New Year...... Happy New Year to everyone and hope everyone is looking forward to a healthy year... My New year's eve was pretty good, def. overate opps spent it with my church family hence a huge diverse potluck... However got some, bad news on sunday evening which cause a bad downhill spiral and have been pretty much eating and depressed in bed crying.Haven't worked out at all in the new year... Managed to get out of the house today and went to Bible study today and that has helped lift my spirit a bit.... Sorry for the vent...I really hope to that I will be able to go to the gym tomorrow or atleast deal with this huge blow cause right now I just feel so up and down with it... Good night all... A |

Destiny: I'm sorry to hear about the bad news. I hope things start looking up for you soon. KDM: I commented on your other thread...but welcome back (again!) Susie: I missed you on my last post...welcome back! So DH weighed in today (first time he's WI'd since before the holidays) and he's up 2 lbs. I'm hoping my damage is also minimal. My last WI before Christmas was 193.6. Hoping tomorrow is no more that 195, but I'd even be ok with 196...just really don't want to be back near that 200 mark!! Depending on what happens tomorrow, I'm thinking I may set my V day goal to get somewhere in the 180's. I would love to see 185 ("just" overweight on the BMI scale), but I doubt that will be realistic. I guess I shouldn't get too far ahead of myself until I know what the damage is. Keeping my fingers crossed! Yesterday I had about 1600 calories (top end of my range, but still in it.) I did do a 45 minute WATP video with resistance bands, plus a 10 minute ab workout. Tonight I'm going to stay away from strength training so I can retain as little water tomorrow as possible for WI. I'm thinking elliptical and yoga, probably. Well, today is my Friday as I have a personal day tomorrow for our girls' weekend out of town. Have a good one, everyone! |
