:welcome: TO CC Valentines Day Challenge Even if your not a calorie counter Your more than welcome to join Can u believe It's time for a new Calorie Counters' Holiday Challenge? Everybody did great on Our Christmas CHALLENGE :clause:~Some of us met our goals, some of us only got partway there,some went the wrong direction, but we all put in a great effort, learned some lessons, made new friends, and supported each other... and that's what these challenges are for. Now, we're ready to set our sights on a new challenge, new goals, For the Next month & few weeks Then we will start our next one. Here's how it works... Set a goal or goals that you would like to reach before Valentines day~February 14th :val3:. Your goals can be anything: pounds you want to lose, a smaller clothing size or outfit you'd like to fit into, sports or fitness achievements, or just a goal of keeping food and exercise on track. Whatever gets you excited about working your plan over the next few weeks, is the right goal for this challenge. You can set as many or as few goals as you like. All are welcome! If you're not sure what your goal will be yet, but would like to join up and find some weight loss buddies, get and give support, please jump in, and you can post a goal later, when you think of something. Our main purpose is to motivate each other to keep the food on plan, keep exercising, keep getting leaner, more fit, and healthy. My goal is to keep toning and to maintain my weight as best as possible I give myself 5 pounds ~to either going up or down ~NO more...So either 127 if going down or to 137 if I go up Since I weigh 132 right now & maintain it. I also would like to say GOODLUCK TO EVERYONE!! OFF TO SPEND THE REST OF CHRISTMAS WITH MY HUBBY & KIDS! |

Yay a new Challenge!! I'm so ready for this...i was MIA on the last challenge but one of my goals this challenge is to participate and post.
Goals: post everyday eat at goal and log all my food stop emotional eating I will copy and past my goals on Feb,14 and see how I did.... ok....here i go; Starting tomorrow (12-26-10) |
Mine is to be at goal and fitting a size 8 pretty consistently. But, as I wrote on another forum, part of my new year's resolution is to NOT weigh myself for the month of January.

would like to jump in on this one, my goal is simple, loss at least 2 lbs a week. will start with 1400 calories a day and ajust if needed. Not sure what my caloies should be to loss.
Also will use not only fresh foods but tv dinners, and pre packaged stuff. Starting tomorrow so will weigh then and post. Any loss is a good loss. |

I'll join this challenge ! My methods are calorie counting/nutrition balancing, exercise, and Beck's "Diet for Life" skills to help me actually do it. My Feb 14th goal will be to: - Get my weight range in the 125-128 range (as opposed to the current rut of 129-132) by keeping calories under 1800 daily and doing my 6 days a week exercise sessions. Plus more exercise if needed to get this done. - Post here frequently about my progress Thanks for setting up this challenge, Lori259 !! Here we go !! :yes: :yes: |
I would like to take part in this. I've only been doing this for two days so I'm going to start small. By Feb 14th I would like to consistenly have been keeping a food diary and working out for 30 minutes a day to the ultimate goal of feeling more healthy (less migraines, more energy). These tiny things are so much harder than they sound! Thanks for the topic Lori. :)

I'm feeling strong and thank this group for helping me to re-focus on goals. Today I rode my exercise bike for 30 minutes (includes using 2 lb arm weights some of the time), did a series of leg lifts, and got in some walking at the stores. My weight set increased when I bought some new 5lb weights. I ate within my calories as well. A good day ! I thought about how I like my food to be fun, even though I'm watching portions and quality. Today I got a veggie sandwich while shopping. Since I could look online and check the nutrients, it was ok to have. That was fun! Hope all is going well with you too !! :celebrate::celebrate::celebrate: |

Hi chicks, good luck to all of us!
I'm really embarrassed to tell you guys this, but I had 10,000 cal. total for the past 2 days. It was real bad, i felt sick & still continued to eat. I gained 10 lbs in water from two days of eating junk. We went clothes shopping today, I know it's the wrong time to go when your so bloated up with water, but we were planning it for a while. I totally forgot about it before x-mas, if I would have remembered, I would have stuck to eating healthy. It sucks bring home new clothes in sizes that normally fit & cause of this bloat, they are tight and don't look right. I'm hoping they fit right eventually, right now it's too hard to tell. I'm have been beating myself up mentally over this, I'm just so sick of struggling. Why can't I just eat like a normal person, stop when I'm full and not aim to finish off any food that's left. This all or nothing thinking has got to stop, I never learn my lesson. I will not be a failure again, I am determined to keep this weight off. I was back on plan today, only had 1160 calories cause I didn't even want to look at food. Why does maintaining have to be so much harder than dieting??? |
Just a quick check in..Fruitlady ~I agree maintaning is hard to figure out!~I can not eat enough most days~having trouble upping my amount of calories.
~OH & even though I do not at all whatsoever Get along with my sister n law or most of my family on my side (My brothers wife) I just read on her facebook she just found out at age 37 she has breast cancer & On the 30th will find out how severe all of it is~they are checking her lymph nodes then.~I may not get along with her ~but I sure aint heartless...I am praying for her..Please keep her in your prayers~her name is Carrie..Anyways I always pray for my enemies too~Everyone has them usually. Cancer or any type of heath condition is so sad for anyone.May God Heal her. |

Fruitlady - Good for you for being honest about your slip and talking about it. It is human to occasionally over-do. There is no need to beat up on yourself. Use these situations to learn (during, try to listen to what you are saying to yourself, write it down and think about it later) and do better in the future. I'm thinking of you and hoping you are back on track and having a better day. Off to exercise now. Keep strong everyone ! |

My Valentine's Day Goal: - Lose 10-12 pounds. Currently 158. - Exercise at the gym every other day at the very least for an hour and a half. 1-2 miles on the treadmill is a must. - Eat between 1200-1400 calories a day. |

Good goals and All the best to everyone :-) I am in too... Some of my goals are: 1. Continue to eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle mentally, physically and spiritually. 2. Lose those few pounds and be able to be somewhere around 148-150 3. Keep up my gym workouts 3-4 times a weeks and continue to work on toning 4. Manage my binge eating 5. Be able to maintain my weight once I hit my goal :-) |
Well it has been such a long time since I came into 3FC I am embarrassed to not only have I gained back all my lost weight in a matter of 1 year plus added a few more. So I am up to this challenge. I am a former ww gal but I need something new to keep me interested so I will be using the recipes that are posted here....alright now my goal
I will eat more healthy...and that means the wine has got to go on vacation! I will walk 30 min a day 5x per week I will set the goal to lose 8lbs |

lori- I had trouble raising my calories too when starting to maintain, that's how I got myself into trouble. I ate junk food to raise my calories, now I'm hooked on that crap. I didn't take the time to think what healthy options I had. I could have ate extra fruit, veggies, or yogurt to up my calories. How stupid I was! Good luck Had 1487 cal. which was ok. I went over, because i ate extra fruit & yogurt. I did ride the exercise bike this morning, burned more calories than walking. It's way too cold right now to walk outside, I miss it. |
Hi All,
Did a new exercise on the stability ball yesterday and I can feel it. I tried laying on it in a forward position and gently lifting a weight from the front, floor up. Does that make sense? Anyway, I can feel it in my lower back today. You're welcome Fruitlady. Glad you had a better day. My motto for the day is "keep food boring" most of the time, but then have a treat (which is a healthy one like cottage cheese with Waldon's chocolate syrup). One day at a time !! |
I AM IN! If I'm not accountable somewhere I won't make it, which is a sad thought that I can't just do it for myself, but whatever works eh :shrug:

I need accountability. Over the next month and a half I'm going to:
Journal my food and calories, all the time, even if I know I'll go over. Keep swimming. It's the only workout I enjoy. Add another form of exercise to the swimming, some strength training perhaps. 174.5, That's 1.5 loss a week, which I think is doable. Good luck everyone! |
Hey There, quick check in for me...i've got a dirty kitchen and two kids that need to get ready to go off with their pawpaw to see Yogi Bear in about two hours.
Im doing pretty good so far this week. Eating going good and my workouts are great. Got in a Run Interval on Sunday, yesterday was a rest and today was a High intensity step aerobics workout followed by heavy weight lifting with Back and Chest. FruitLady-I agree, maintaining is way harder than losing...this is my 6th year of living a healthier life style and i know the pressure of both worlds. I will go on a diet, then maintain for a while, then cut it back again...i can definitely relate to your situation. It sucks because i LOVE to eat. But i know that once I get all the processed junk out of my system..I will stop craving it. Thats the only thing that works for me.... Eliminating the junk for a while. You know what to do girl...you can do it:hug: p.s..i miss walking too, can't wait for spring!! Hey to everyone...later gators |

misspriss- your so right, I know how to do it & processed food is poison. It's just getting so hard, everyone else in the house has to have junk food here. I know what weight I feel good at, but my body has a different plan. 6 years is a long time, wow you have accomplished so much!
As for me, had 1480 cal. Dropped 3.5lbs of water. I've been so hungry lately, it's my body wanting me to be fat again, it's in my genes, I know it! So I ate extra fruit & yogurt again, at least I'm making better food choices even when I'm starving. I am so embarrassed by how much I weigh that I won't even change it here on 3fc. New Year's eve is coming, I am dreading it. Trying to plan what I will eat, but with all the junk food eaters here, I don't know if I can stick to it. I really don't want to eat like a pig & be sick all night when I'm trying to sleep. |

Fruitlady, You are doing what I did. I was at goal 130 for 4 years and my body kept me feeling starving. hard to explane. Then I started creeping up, and kept trying to loss the extra. I ended up dieting myself fat again. On and off, on and off. I thought i was lossing my mind being hungery even after eating tons of food. Glad to see your going after a heather choice in food. This time I am working my way back and hopefully my body wont go haywire again. It likes being heavy I think lol. past few days have been cutting back, but with so much christmas stuff in the house its a tad hard to not nibble. But I feel I am heading in the right direction |

My goal is to lose 12lbs. So about 2lbs a week. I'm cutting out all junk, giving up pop :cry::eek: & trying to get on track and eat healthy & cook real meals. I am gonna weight myself tomorrow morning and see where I am at now :( I haven't weighed in a while & am so scared lol |
It's been hectic here visiting my mom in the hospital and keeping up with a toddler. I haven't been eating on plan as much as I should but of course I'm at my mom's house. I' going to the grocery store so I can get back on track. I got 10 pounds to loose. I haven't worked out since we've been here so I will be getting that going today as well. I think I will walk around the neighborhood since it's not as cold outside as it has been.

Getting back into the swing of things. I figure Dec 28th is a good date to start, i quit smoking 10 years ago on this date and never looked back. So here we go. I'm 179 and I'm going to shoot for the 160s. I'll take 169 in a heartbeat. I joined the Discovery Body Challenge so I'm going to follow their program, basically 1800 calories and 30 min of exercise per day. I need my energy back...

Im going to try and up my water intake. Im just never thirsty lol. I only drink ~3 bottles of water a day. Of course when i used to drink soda i could down a 2 liter in a day no problem.

Good morning or afternoon whereever your at.:wave:Trying to back in the grove almost got my paperwork done for TOPS for the New Year. And at this time i want to wish everyone a :newyear: I did maintain my weight during the christmas holidays. Last weightin at TOPS was dec. 20 at 252 a total weight lost for 2010 was 29 lbs. What was bad look at these figures (lost 67.50 [COLOR="Red"]gain 38.25[COLOR="red"][COLOR="Black"]net lost 29.25 If I could just lose and not gain I could nip this in the bud. My resolutions for 2011 1. spend more time with family and friends 2. exercise 5 times a week 3.lose weight 4. enjoy life 5. go to bed early get up early 6. lose 51 lbs in 2011 thats 4.25 lbs a month by dec 23 weigh 201 7. spend less money on things i dont need 8. go to church more and pray more 9. work harder for my TOPS club 10.
