still working on getting my calories in check. Going over but way lower then what I was eating. Need to hit the store for snacking foods, I am a grazer so need some low cal foods around the house. Tried the 3 meals a day and can eat for an army. Takes alot of food to make me full lol. So grazing a little here and there helps some. Hope everyone has a good day |

Currently I have been on weight watchers for about 3 months and lost 25lb! I have had a little difficulty getting exercise and choosing healthy choices over winter break. I only work weekends so Its been pretty nice relaxing but also a bit boring and with boredom comes the overeating... =( Goals *Exercise 3x a week once school begins *Lose 10-15lbs prior to Valentines Day *Fit in size 20 jeans (currently size 22! :( :( ) |

Half way through day 3 for me. I have exercised and kept under the last 2 days with no problem. I got some low cal snacks at the store yesterday and I think I had too much of them because I'm approaching calories! Still better than the vending machine though.

Hey there, quick check in for me! 45min run interval done and my eating today has been great. So far i have managed to drain 5lbs of water weight so im working on the last three. Maybe i can be @ 169, my lowest weight, before the first?

surfnmom- Thanks, maintaining is so hard. My lowest weight was 104lbs, i was 106lbs. most of the time, for over a year I maintained with no hunger. I had menstrual problems at the time & didn't realize my body fat % was too low. I had to let myself gain 2 lbs. to solve the problem, and that's when the bad hunger pains started. Now my weight has been creeping up, cause I need to eat more calories. I know my body very well, it wants me to gain more weight. It may sound crazy, but it can happen. Thanks, your the first person that had the same thing happen to them.

Losing water weight finally. 3 lbs.to go, which I think is actual fat I gained. Had 1500 calories, 200 over my limit. This is what I have to do to prevent over eating with junk food. This painful hunger I've been having is terrible. An hour or two after I eat a meal, I'm starving again. I know I'm not getting hungry like this cause I actually need the food. I'm doing the same activities & eating the same whole foods everyday as I always have been, so I'm not burning extra calories. I fill up on yogurt, fruit or lean protein to help the hunger, but it doesn't last for long. It's pathetic when I have to eat a 1000 cal. breakfast to feel full, but I'd rather eat that much in the morning before I workout so i can boost my metabolism more. I've got to figure this all out, I know I have to reduce my calories back to 1200-1300 a day or I won't lose this weight. I'm starting tomorrow!

Just cant wait to get back to the pool next week.:swim: missing it bad. Went a little over but not too bad on my calories. But Jan 1st it all will chg. Weeeeeeeell Confession time!
Yesterday didn't end too good. I went over about 700 calories:(. Those darn late night munchies always get me. Just gotta try harder next time...i know what to do, just gotta stick to it. I'm never going to get to my goal weight giving in to cravings. And i know that once i stop giving in to those cravings..those cravings have less of a hold on me. I did so good all day and im proud of that. Yesterday could have been a lot worse. anyways. Yesterday I got in a 45min power walk. Today will be cardio plus some type of weights. bbl to report :) |
I almost doubled my calories yesterday. Went to a little get together for my boyfriend's mom's birthday, and the cake did me in. It's ok though, I tell myself. I'll do better next time.

Had 1190 cal. , only lost 3oz. I thought it might be more than that, I've been really active the whole week, but my calories were a little higher too. So I think it makes sense. I think I'm detoxed from the X-mas junk food finally, didn't have any bad hunger pain or cravings. Why can't every day be like this? The weather is a little warmer now, so I went for a 40min. power walk. It felt so good to be out in the fresh air. As of now I'm feeling confident that I will stay on plan for New Year's Eve, tomorrow might be a different story though. |

Can you ladies say PROGRESS!! My mom came home from the hospital today!!! Let's celebrate the goodness of God!!!!! She was rolling in physical therapy. They will have the speech therapist come by the house. I've eaten better the last two days. I don't plan to weigh myself again until mid Jan so I stay encouraged. I will check in each day to be accountable on my eating. |

Eating is going well with me, although with the cold it feels like I'm eating too much. Tomorrow I will have to brave the elements to get to exercise. I'll need some extra motivation to do that !! My weight fluctuates by 2-3 pounds during a single week. I think it is salt that causes fluid retention. Who knows. I try to watch trends instead of worrying about one day's results. I'm doing ok on my goals for the Valentine's challenge. Thanks for being here to provide group support. Stay strong ! |

HAPPY NEW YEARS 2011! Doing good this morning. Scales was good to me weigh in at 249. Going to do some cooking today for tomorrow because the old story i was told whatever you do on jan 1 you will do alot of. If that is true I want to watch what I eat thru the yr and excercise so I will only do that tomorrow. I glad everyone is doing good have a good one today and I will drop in tonight. :wave::dust:

Still doing well. Getting ready to get a meal ready for my mom. She has her days and nights mixed up so she's up at night and sleeping late during the day. I've been running up and down stairs to check on her so I'm getting in some good exercise. I was thinking about weighing myself on the tomorrow as my official new year's day weight and I can know what I loose as opposed to this past year. I do know I've gone from a size 24 to a size 12/14 though...which is a great accomplishment. Looking forward to making my goal of 10lbs for the Vday challenge!!! |

Had 1196 cal. Lost 8oz. more. I added a bit more fat to my diet by eating nuts, it seems to be helping the bad hunger I've been getting. Went for a great 40min walk & hike at the Game Preserve, I love it there. 1100 acres of mountains, wildlife, & lovely views. Can't beat that. Weather was perfect at 45 degrees w/ no wind. We're going again tomorrow, can't wait, it's only 15min from our house. Stomach didn't feel good tonight, had stomach cramps for hours. So i will not be drinking or eating tonight. It's better now, I don't want to make it worse. Have a great New Year's Eve!!! |
I did okay the last couple of days. I didn't do any formal exercise but I work in retail and I've been running around, up and down ladders and stairs, bending up and down to put up signs so I'm pretty sure that all counts :-). Here's to the New Year! Happy New Year!!!

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been MIA but things have been insanely stressful and hectic with my husband and his health issues. We go to the mayo clinic next week so hopefully we will get a new treatment and he will be feeling better soon!
Meanwhile I quit counting calories. i watched what I ate and I think I did pretty well. I didn't lose in December but I didn't gain either. Somedays I would be up a pound or two but more often than not I would be 195. Yesterday i was 195.4 so that is my start weight for this challenge. I want to get back in the habit of counting calories and get back on track! I think I will make my Valentine's goal to be 190! I will do that by tracking my calories everyday and keeping it under 1900 calories. I will also get back in the habit of checking out this board everyday. :) Good luck to everyone else I look forward to catching up with everyone! I hope everyone has a happy and HEALTHY 2011!! |

I'm in! Holidays were very bad food-wise - only redeeming grace is that I made it to the gym every day except for Christmas(and only because they were closed). Got out my notebook and am back to writing down my calories and exercise. So my goals for V-Day:
1) To be under 135 lbs. I refuse to get on the scale for two weeks because I think it will just discourage me further, but I have an idea where I am. 2) Gym 5-6 days /week. 3) On workdays, get at least 10 minutes of activity - a quick walk outside, stair-climbing, etc. My job is very sedentary, and I drive to work. 4) Aim for 1200-1500 calories/day, and 90% healthy foods. 5) Write down EVERY FOOD, even if I mess up. Looking forward to hearing everyone's progress! |

Did real good food wise considering it was a holiday, glad it's all over now. I just want the rest of this crappy food out of the house. I'm ready to give it away to someone, but my hubby & daughter would get mad at me. Last night my stomach hurt, a good thing I guess. Only had a clementine, 8 grapes, 3 cooked shrimp & 3 peanuts. Didn't even go over my calories, actually lost weight( 7 ounces) on a holiday, now that's a miracle. Today had 1491 cause I decided to have a bit of chocolate cause I didn't eat any junk at all for 7 days. Had 6 hershey kisses & 2 special dark minatures & some extra fruit w/ my lunch. We hiked and power walked for 60min at the Game Preserve, it was 50 degrees! Maybe I'll get away with eating the extra calories. I know how to lose weight, for me it's easy. It's the maintaining thing that has me totally lost.

I'm glad the holidays are over too ! I like routines. Today was too darn cold to do much except bundle up. The cold snap will be moving away, so tomorrow should involve more movement. My scale is saying 129 more often than it used to, so I think my weight is finally breaking the 130 barrier consistently. Yeah ! This week I want to watch my sodium intake more closely, as I think that causes small blips on the scale. Does anyone else watch sodium? How much do you usually eat in a day? Here's to a fresh year, and to continuing work toward our goals ! |
1540 calories yesterday - a bit over plan. DH fell asleep early NYE, so we drank the champagne last night, which put me over. On the positive side, I did an hour body sculpting class and 35 minutes on the treadmill. I also made a batch of crockpot chicken with black beans and salsa. I'm trying to cook more this year - DH usually cooks for him and our son, and he's been making a lot of red meat. So I told him I wanted to start using the crock pot more to make things like chicken and a lot of vegetarian dishes, and he's agreed to try them all.
Planning to weigh in a week from Friday - hoping for a reasonable number. I got frustrated last year because I couldn't get below 130, so I got sloppy. Meanwhile, I would love to be at 130 now! |

woodland- I watch sodium, I keep mine pretty low to prevent water retention. About 700mg. a day, if I go over that I always hold water. It might be a bit low for some people, but I feel fine and it works for me.
My weight stayed the same, I think it was those few days my calories were higher. I really want to lose this last 1.5lbs, if I do, i will weigh what I did on X-mas eve before I pigged out. I really wanted peanut butter today, so i had 2 servings, which is nothing compared to the amount I used to eat. It did put me over my calories cause I had to have some on a banana & on celery, it's so yummy. I'm sorry I did it now, ate 2200 cal total. Now I'll most likely gain! I'm so stupid sometimes! |
Hey ladies!! Sorry I've been MIA, just got back from a week away at the beach - it was lovely but I definitely went over calories most days and didn't get enough exercise. I'll weigh tomorrow and see if I've done any damage, but as of now I'm right back to logging everything and keeping within my range.
It feels so weird to come back to the city and technology after a relaxing week away...I kind of have a bit of post-vacation depression. |

I'm back at work after the holidays and not feeling my best. However I'm looking forward to a fabulous day. I have a sister that came in to be with my mom so it was easier for me to leave. I want to join in! My goal is to track my calories and exercise everyday in my Lose it! App... To work out at least 4 days a week and keep my calories around 1500 a day. Feb 14 is now about 6 weeks away I believe... so my goal is 8 lb lost by then! Let's do this!!!!!!!!!!!

New to the 3FC forum and the CC, so I wanted to jump right into the Valentine's Day challenge and see if I can stick to it. I've got two main goals: 1) To exercise at least 40 minutes a day--be it heavy, intense workouts or just walking 2) lose another 10lbs between now and V-Day! |
I hope the first week is the hardest. I had a high calorie day on wednesday, then went all out last night, last minute. I don't think I did that much damage though. I was eating pretty well before I started counting, but when I got it in my head that I wanted something, I'd stuff myself with it.
I swam a lot this last week too. I only had 30 instead of 60 minutes on Saturday, which worked out well because my the end of 30 I couldn't pull my arms out of the water any more. I'm loaded up with healthy snacks and a swim schedule, so good luck to me and all of you! |

I hope I can still join this challenge. I didn't respond much to the last challenge. Kinda alot going one since then...for those of you who remember my father moved to alaska for his midlife crisis, and he came back home for 2 weeks, so we spend alot of family time. It was "interesting". I haven't been home since the New Year so I haven't had my official starting weight. I'm assuming I'm around 135-138...which this time last year when I first joined you girls...I was 123-124 :( And my lowest was 115.6, and average 118. Alot of work ahead of me to get it all back, but I'm up for the challenge. I got myself the Iphone4 for Christmas and I have MFP app on it and you girls right on my home screen to check in. So here are my goals: 1) Get down to 128 by the end of the challenge. 2) Work out 5 days a week 3) Keep calories between 1200-1500 Those are good for now. I'm excited and really want to get back into this. It was about 1 year ago since I met you ladies and you helped me through alot. Here's to a great new year! |

I've been MIA for a while as I've been on Holiday break....looks like I've missed a lot of chatter! I have NOT done very well this past week (but I sure did have a lot of fun), but now I'm back at work and I'm ready to get back in the saddle with my weight loss! I will better formulate my goals on Friday, which will be my first WI since before Christmas. I am pretty scared to see what damage I've done...hope to be somewhere near my pre-Christmas weight. For now, my short-term goals until Friday are: -count my calories every day and stay within a 1400-1600 range -get back into my exercise routine--at least 30 minutes every day. I already have a monkey wrench this weekend as I have a girls' birthday weekend out of town...but I MUST do better than I did over Christmas!! Hope to catch up with everyone soon! |
