Morning everyone!
Doing one of my favorite things to do...sip coffee and surfing the net:D Looks like everyone is doing great! A few personals.. JD-Your meals look fantastic! I've done experiments on power walking vs slow running and the calorie burn was almost the same. But there is something about that runners high that gets me going,lol. Sending you healing vibes! Yesterday i did some upper body weights followed by some yoga, then i walked the dog in the evening after that HOT sun went down! Hello to everyone. Just wanted to check in. Things are going well here. Still enjoying my vacation home in the states. My weight is still dropping crazily this week. I might skip a whole decade this week! I've been sticking to my calorie counting like mad and drinking loads of water daily. Feeling good. I'll be back on Sunday morning with an official weigh in. I have one more day of studying and then Saturday I have two big state certification tests. I have to pass the test in my first try because I need the certification in order to get my new visa for when I go back to South Korea for the job I have already signed the contract for. Wish me luck!

I love seeing all our challenge participants!!
I've had a rough start. My son came down with Hand foot and mouth disease and it's been killing me. He was in so much pain, but after about 6 days, he's finally doing better and eating again. When I worry, i tend to not eat. I did get some work outs in, but need to step it up. |

Desperately trying to avoid the bagels and Dunkin' Donuts in the kitchen - damn Fridays. But I have to go in there to refill my water bottle! I run in, hold my breath, refill, run out and exhale. :)
Did another "race" walking session today - can I just say that doing walk/race walk intervals up hills is probably a pretty good workout, but my butt hurts too much for me to appreciate it right now? Susie - the doctor was pleased with my approach so far (high protein, lots of fruit and vegs, regular workouts) but he said I'm going to have to stay on program 100% of the time to really reach my goals. He said that's the hardest part for people like me who for some reason seem to have a hard time losing weight. This weekend will be my first in years totally on program and I'm a bit anxious about it - DH has a friend visiting and I know we're going to eat out, so I'm picking places where I know I can have a program-friendly option. But weekends are usually when I make poor choices, just because it's the weekend - need to get out of that mindset NOW. :) |

Goals were to 1) Weigh in only once a week - no prob so far since my new scale isn't here yet so I can't weigh in!!! :lol::lol::lol: and 2) drop 10 pounds by Labor Day - hmm no scale so don't know how that is going either! :carrot::carrot: BUT I walked/jogged 3.75 miles this morning and at this for breakfast: 1/2 banana before walk 2 tostada shells with no fat refried beans, low fat cheese, avocado and salsa when I got back! afternoon ladies!
Went to see the Predators movie and loved it! They did a great job keeping to the original oh and jules....holly crap I want to go see it! The bf and I need a vacation there! lol As far as sticking to my plan well the bf still hasn't gotten the rest of the discs and the first one is Yoga which I'm still waiting on..I really want to keep directly with the workout program since they are designed to be in a certain order. As for food....I did alright for the most part but Im noticing me putting on weight really fast! :o..I don't know if it's because after I did the 1st phase of the SB Diet that adding all that crap back in so fast made me blimp up or what? I'm just trying to breathe and keep trying to stay OP. It's so hard for the summer with BBQ's and all the fun. theresac: way to go on being good with the co-workers...it's so hard to not splurge when out with ppl. Keep it up! m3rma1d: so proud of you! and love the pic...yes the girls are looking good ;) jigglefree: keep the workouts coming! You really inspire me to push myself..2 miles is alot and in this heat! I know what you mean about schedules changing I'm still trying to get back on a sleep pattern. GOOD LUCK! david: very happy to hear things have died down...I lost my weight when I realized if I'm not happy I can't be happy with anyone and learned to work on me first...very proud of you! slim n up: sorry to hear about your mom, hope she's doing better. And I'm right there with you for the green tea, this week I didn't buy more coffee I just bought green tea and now I'm drinking it in the mornings instead of coffee. And I to get sick if I dont' eat right after...it takes a week or so and i'm used to it. Let's toast to our green teas!:) mkyice: so cute with the puppy :D. one of the great effects of drinking green tea is that it'll help your skin be more resistant to sun damage!

Still here and working my body/eating to live. I went to the gym today and didn't want to. I've been so tired today. I didn't run but I walked a mile and a half. I think it just may be a mental battle and I have to keep going.
WE ALL HAVE TO KEEP GOING!! No stopping no matter what's going on in your life. You are more effective when you are healthy to deal with what life throws at you. SO keep pushing!! :running: for each mile I run :running::running::running::running: |
Oh man whatta great day so far...
This morning I put on a pair of jeans that didn't fit a little over a month ago, and now they fit like a glove. Then I did my 3.5 mile walk. Then me and walking buddy went to Wal*Mart and I wanted to look at workout clothes 'cos the shorts I have are too hot (they're like sweatpant material) Well, they didn't have an XL in the shorts I liked, and my friend said "Try a large, I think you might be surprised!" On the way to the fitting rooms we walked by these cute workout shirts, and they didn't have an XXL, but I said "Maybe I'll try an XL..." So I went into the fitting room and tried on... Just a quick sec ~cause all 3 kids are starring at me like I am a meanie for daring to touch the computer~LOL
Anyways still on plan do my toning exercises & Staying within my calories was 150.6 today (had to change my battery scale ~I laughed cause I say its like a satan scale when I switch the battery & it said 150.6~So it had a 6 in it~LOL) Anyways Hope all is going well for everyone I did read all posts just can't reply back to all~But would like to say to DAVID~so glad u & the wife are back to good~Cause it sucks to fight with your other half! I usually get along with mine great ~but we have had our moments! ~I just tell you this as a friend for next time~(this is just a joke by the way)Just tell her she is right & she will drop the argument eventually Thats all we need to hear~Cause we usually are ~LOL just picking ~hope your having a great married life today! I am ~Thank GOD~I think we figured each other out after 17 years of marriage and nearly 20 years together. FINALLY~Ok kids are really giving me dirty looks now gotta go TTYL *HUGS TO ALL* OH before I go & the kids attacks me ~my son is nearly to onederland the one at age 12 ~He was 201.0 today ~he asked me awhile back to help him lose weight so I am~ He noticed my change & I tried to keep it all as secret as I could from them all but he figured me out~He started out at like 209.8 When school ended on June 5th~He's eating healthy & playing healthy (he is eating no less or more than my other kids ~3 meals a day plus snacks) Playing healthy & being out of school is helping ~plus me changing the food in the home.)~ He has been Jumping on a huge trampoline with is brother ect. for exercise & I have been playing horseshoes & throwing frisbies with them all when weather is not to hot for me.~Were nearly a family all in the 100's~He is doing super I am so proud of him ~he is eating the same basically as he did last summer(when I got him down to 196 from the 220's Or 230's without him even knowing what I was doing) but being more active~He has troubles in school cause he is a good kid an has lots of acccomplishments that he gets sweet treats for & plus he eats people extras at breakfast!(he went up as far as to 213 during school this year til I switched them to diet pop to take him back to the 209 at least which he held steady for several months)~LOL I told him just to cut that out & he will be fine ~the extra school eating~he never changed a waist size at all last year though Do to me changing foods in the house other than he grew taller his waist stayed a 36 he is 32 in length now from a 29 length~12 and taller than me! OH & he always did go up 2 to 3 sizes a year on waist before I switched the foods.~My daughter went from a tight size 16 to a 6 or 8 can't tell for sure she wears her clothes baggy LOL! She weighs like 139 to 140 Now but she is short ~like 5'2" or 3" so she has lost about 60 pounds I would say & my youngest has remained in slims & is the age where the other were usually wearing plus sizes & huskys.~anyways gotta go I am really in trouble with them now ~I will quit blabbing~THEY SAID THANK GOD ~LOL! Sure u all did too~LOL:D |
