I might be a little late but I'd like to join the challenge. I start back at school September 2nd and would like to lose 15 lbs by then (starting today). This will actually give me an incentive to look forward to Sept. 2nd, instead of dreading the official closing of summer for me.

so the scale got real low yesterday at 176.4--then bounced up .8 today.

I think it's because I'm so sore. retaining water.

Down another pound as of today. That means just 5 more pounds between now and August 24th. Things are going well. Getting physical activity when I don't have class and really enjoying class.

I have also dealt with my problem for next semester, and not having a gym class fall into my schedule. I have made up a workout program for myself and a calorie cycling plan to go with it so I am eating more on workout days to have the energy. DH says I am getting the New Wii Fit plus for my birthday in September and an Exercise bike for christmas. I am excited and it will provide me with more workout options at home.

Congrats on the losses everyone. Welcome new challengers and good luck.

Hola! I am so excited about Salamanca, and THANKS SO MUCH for the tips
I am staying in a University dorm and I think that there is a mini-gym in the building. I am planning on scheduling my time around being able to work-out. Did you do a lot of walking everyday? That's what I am looking forward too.
Also, I am going to Madrid, a few times!
How easily do you think I can modify the food to make it healthier? I heard there is a lot of grease in a regular Spanish diet.

I'm back. And heavier.

Revised goal of 187-190 (depending on how much "water weight" I am packing ATM).

I do this a lot. I need to stop it. Haha. I really overdid it for my birthday. Oh, and the days before and after.

WormwoodDoll-You only have a birthday once a year! However, the fact that you are saying you need to change it is the first step. I splurge on my birthday too, so I know that goes. I actually plan on doing the day after my birthday this year ( I have classes on my actual birthday). I used to do the week long splurge of oooh I am getting sooo old, in the past couple years I have reduced it down to the one day of oooh I am getting soo old, must eat junk.

Good middle of the week to everyone!

I am off the scale for a week or so, TOM, doctor says its going to be awful because of my new medication so we will see how it goes.

weigh in was today, during TOM, lost 3.5lbs! down to 153!! 7 weeks to go to the 14th, need to get to 139, so 14 more...ready to take this challenge ON!

I'm back, and up 4lbs since last check in. I've been eating whatever I want, although in small portions and kissing the treadmill goodbye due to a knee injury!! Ugh. I can't win. Anyway, I'm logging my calories and doing yoga while my knee heals. Hoping to meet my beginning of school year challenge!

Hey, everyone! I just weighed in at 177.5 lbs, down 3.5 lbs from 2 weeks ago. That means I only have 1.5 lbs until I meet my mini-goal I made here of 175, and I have about a month to do it! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!

I stepped on the scale today simply out of boredom. TOM is pretty much done, and was just as bad as my doctor warned me it would be. However a bit of news to brighten my day I am down to 188lbs. 3lbs from goal with almost a month left to school. I am not going to set another scale goal, just keep working on my non-scale goals.

I had to buy new jeans a few weeks ago, thinking the would last me through school, however its looking more and more like I am going to have get some more new ones as theses are a bit loose. I started it out a tight 24, now my 3 week old 16's are loose and need a belt.

I still don't see that much, but my DH sees it.

wow congrats everyone, sounds like you are doing great! today is an official WI day for me and the scale said 159.5! i cant believe it i havent been in the 150's since high school. i dont know if i am going to reach my original goal of 145-150 by august 18 but i am just proud of myself to get this far!
