Retire ~ Awsome Cake - I'm getting married this year, think you could send one to New Zealand? I can see it now you'll have an international career!

I just have to comment that Dixie is just gorgeous - I have a black Lab too - shes just turned 1 - Mesha. shes the love of my life (don't tell my man about that) I think those brown eyes are the only thing that can get me off the couch sometimes!

Also quick opinion . . . I've been sticking to 1500 calories and below and I've actually been having trouble eating them all during the day - do you think its bad to have a snack after tea if my calories are too low? is there a too low? I'm talking 1000 and under - Yesterday I only got to 935.

Hey, room for one more calorie counter? I find that it's the easiest way for me to keep tract.l I do try to make sure that the calories that I eat are healthy ones.

Isabella, I commented on your cake on another site. YUMMY! And i don't like icing. what kind of c

Missloud, Yes you can get too few calories. Wish that was my problem, but any problem is a problem. When you get too few you don't lose as well either, plus it's hard to get the neutrition you need. Adding some good snacks will work. Yogurt? Fruit? Even a bit of dark chocolate (very good for you, ya know). Waht are you eating? maybe you could post a menu?

Looking forward to getting to know you,

Freda

I have decided to try calorie counting again since this is what my doctor recommended to me. She told me to eat 1600 calorie but I think that might be too much for me. I'm 5'3 and 41 years old. Calorieking says 1380 calories. Why does this have to be so confusing.

Thanks for all the compliments on the cake. And it certainly wasn't calorie or sugar free!! Freda, it was a white cake mix doctored up with extra eggs, oil and pudding. It was very moist and had a strawberry filling. Of course there was tons of icing on the cake as that is the artistic medium for cakes. It was way too sweet for me so I had a little piece from the center with only the top frosted and I didn't eat all the icing. I'm looking at a Swiss or Italian butter cream frosting for DS's cake as they say that's not as sweet. So I have more experimenting to do in the next few months.

Miss Loud, I'll gladly come to New Zealand to do your cake. I'll eagerly await my air ticket in the mail. Drat, you said I could send the cake and not me. And, yes have a snack after tea (supper for those not of a British background) if your calories are too low for the day. Some people ration their calories during the day into several smaller meals. I, myself, like 3 square meals a day but if I'm too low I'll have a low fat cheese stick, a piece of fruit or a glass of skim milk, etc to fill in the extra calories if need be.

I'm now on a new project making little gift bags for wedding favors for DS's wedding. Lot's of work for a wedding but I'm retired and barred in at home during the winter with bad weather and taking care of mom so it keeps me busy, if not driving me insane, ha, ha.

Must go eat some of my vegetable soup I made for dinner, make a few more bags and get in a workout. Catch you all later.

Well on my day one I had about 2,100 calories in total...about right for maintaining but I'm going to have to eat less today! It was the evening eating that did me in, I think. I guess I need to limit myself to not eating after a certain hour.

HI all!

I did abit better today with balancing out my calories - i think its just because I'm lazy and can't be bothered plaining properly. I keep thinking I should make some of my own frozen meals - but again my lazyness catches me. Oh well I think in a few weeks I'll be wishing I have this problem of not taking in enough calories! remeber I'm only on week two!!

I'm going to try about 1,500 calories a day and started off today with two hard boiled eggs and some sugarfree pickles! Yeah I know it sounds funny but it's quick since I already made the eggs and the pickles help fill me.

Nicki

I was thinking the same thing. Calorie King did say that their calorie allowance is lower than others because you add in your exercise calories and eat the also. So I quess it all comes out the same ( as long as you exercise ).

Hello all. I did all my exercises yesterday and also today--just like I did before Christmas. I just have to get back in the habit.

Well done on the pound loss, Nicki. That's really great.

I have 20 little wedding favor gift bags put together so far but no ribbon handles on them yet. I've got to pick up a small hole punch for that job. I'm doing 50 yellow and 50 blue and I'm working on the yellow ones first. We're going to put 3 chocolate chip cookies in a cellophane bag tied with curly ribbons in the bags. The recipe will be attached to the cookie bag.
